"Highly disappointed in this change. The"new menu" is not to our taste. If it wasn't for our regular server we wouldn't even consider returning. The appetizer menu is terrible. The manager stopped to talk to a couple seated next to us for over thirty minutes but breezed right by us without a word. NOT IMPRESSED!!!"

"It's located in the former Kincaid's and the interior has the same drab traditional appearance. Menu was a mix of mid-priced items, but the entrees were overpriced for the area and ambience of the restaurant. My wife's pasta dish was very good, while my chicken fajitas were so over-spiced that I could hardly eat them. The manager stopped by the table and was very gracious. Since they just opened, we'll probably give them a try in another month or so. But if it stills feels like a re-branded Kincaid's, we'll likely take a pass on a third visit."

"We are Stanford fans from the years we ate at the Tukwila, WA, location before moving out to Indiana in '03. Out there, we were at Stanford's nearly every week for dinner. We were not disappointed when we ate at the Carmel, IN, location for Mother's Day. We both had Eggs Benedict; his regular, mine with smoked salmon and avocado (minus the capers). The food was as good as we remembered it being & the wait staff was as friendly, too. I like the fact that I had several choices of tea types/flavors to choose from when I ordered hot tea, instead of getting whatever was brought to the table. We are looking forward to going back again soon & enjoying other items on the menu."

"I had the egg frittata with potatoes and for the price it should have included a slice of fruit and a choice of bread. It wasn't a good value at $9.95. I was also unhappy that the veggies in the eggs were under cooked and the parsnips were tough and fibrous. We were given a coupon for $15.00 off so we will try it again. The other 2 in my party were happier with their meals, however the bacon and egg dish didn't even come with toast."

"Stanford's is owned by the same corporation who ran Kincaid's. The food was very good and the quality remained high. I did like some of the appetizers such as the grilled shrimp as well as the grilled artichoke. In terms of offering healthy options, it is a bit of a disappointment. The menu consists mainly of steaks, ribs and other high calorie options. The fish tacos are fried and there is no grill option. I had no choice but to order the chicken (minus the mash potatoes) and fortunately it turned out to be an excellent meal.
I definitely miss the fish options that Kincaid had to offer. When I did speak to the manager, she advised that they would be adding 2-3 fish options to the menu. We will be back."

"We were faithful Kincaid patrons and were curious to experience the new dining profile. My husband and I both ordered the Sirloin. It was cooked beautifully, medium rare and was accompanied with perfectly roasted asperagus. The garlic potatoes were a bit dry but well flavored. The mushroom demi glace was generous and well seasoned. Tampura battered shrimp accompanied the order and were hot and crunchy, a very nice addition. The bread pudding was very good, fluffy with plump raisons and a generous addition of sauce. Too, the creme brulee was very good with a creamy base and beautifully caramelized top.
The wines on the list were disappointing, lower end "grocery store brands, yet the prices reflected a higher quality offering."

"Very family friendly and we got right in. The salads were tasty and my husband and I were excited that we might have found a new place. The "cheesy bread" is too much for a starter...and wow the garlic! My husband got a steak which came with fried shrimp, and I got the salmon/prime rib combo. Even my husband who is a huge garlic fan said there was too much on his steak, beans and potatoes. My prime rib was good, but my salmon had no seasoning at all! The shrimp and the kids fish/chips had the same batter which was soggy. The kids loved the sundeas...but my husband and I chose to swing by DQ on the way home since they were out of the one chocolate dessert. Even the waiter couldn't get excited. It's not bad...it's just boring."

"I visited the new Stanford's in Carmel, Indiana yesterday with my parents and we LOVE it! We have been going to Kincaid's for a long time and a lot of the reason is the amazing customer service from Laura Y. Laura had us hooked from day one as we felt at home and comfortable. Owning an extremely busy salon in Indianapolis, it's really nice to get away and visit a restaurant and be taken care in the way Laura always has! I feel like I am going on about her, but if you were to be taken care of by her, you would understand my need to express my gratitude for her amazing hospitality. Laura's passion for creating the perfect night out has been evident upon each visit. The ambiance is amazing, the food delicious and the staff was very friendly!"

"This was my first visit. I was surprised to hear that this was the last night that this restaurant was open as Kincaids. I probably would have waited to visit until new restaurant opened. "Great food, service was good other than drinks. Apparently they're getting ready to shut down and remodel the bar so we got a couple sub-par drinks and the selection of alcohols was dwindling literally as we dined. We were actually all starting to think the experience was going to go badly until the food started showing up. Clam chowder was excellent, prime rib on the Northside Nights special was amazing and a generous portion for a "special", everyone in our party left very impressed with everything other than the slight hiccups in the drinks."

"For the high price, I was disappointed in the amount and presentation of the food . We ordered shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and we were served only 5? Guess they wanted us to fight over the last one. For $15.95, I expected a few more and for the taste to be of higher quality.
Our entrees were presented with as much as care to their appearance as I put into making dinner for my three kids. Actually I put a bit more effort into it than they did.
Check out Bistro 310 in Columbus, IN for a wonderful meal ... Our local go-to get-away for a lovely and quality experience."

"After many good evenings, Friday night did not measure up and was in fact disappointing. A simple blended Scotch on the rocks was $12- way over priced and far more than we usually pay anywhere else. Prime rib was tough. Salmon was cooked dry. $24 short ribs yielded two small pieces of meat but management dealt with this problem very satisfactorily. Two of three of the Northside Nights featured desserts were not available, but substitutions were made.
Hopefully there will be changes when they reopen under a new name and menu with a better value for the dollar."

"The complimentary bread is always very good with the addition of parmesean cheese which makes it stand out from other restaurants, the salads are also good but seem to change both in size and how presented each time we go. The steak tips on the small plate menu were not as good as usual, well done when medium rare was asked for. We had to send back both plates because it was way overdone. Management as well as the server was very appologetic and replaced them quickly. The replacements were much better. A good restaurant but lacks consistency in portion size and presentation. You are frequently dissapointed by the current meal not being the same as the last time it was ordered. However still a good dining experience."

"Dinner was excellent. My husband and I took our adult son there for a special welcome-back-from-your-vacation dinner, and everything was stellar. All of our entrees were delicious and the dessert,a rich, chocolaty waffle brownie with chocolate and butterscotch sauce left us smiling and content."

"We had been wanting to go to Kincaid's for a long time and were expecting an experience along the lines of Ruth's Chris or Morton's. We were very disappointed. The restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night, which should have been an indication. Our waitress was very friendly but she talked so fast we could barely understand her. I had the beef wellington, which is not a true beef wellington as it is basically a puff pastry filled with mashed potatoes with a filet on the side. The potatoes were so salty I had to send them back, and the Pillsbury Dough Boy does a better pastry. My husband had the ètoufee. Also not good. The very salty sauce came on the side so the seafood never touched it until he poured it on."

"The food at Kincaids was really great, some of the best Prime Rib I have ever had. The service was very good, and the atmosphere is nice. The dining area is quite open and rather chilly as one whole wall is windows, but there is no view which was strange. I wouldn't go here for a romantic dinner, but I will definately go back."

"I was stunned when I was charged $16.00 for coffee (2 cups with partial refills). People should be informed by the wait staff the there are extra charges for refills.
Also, one must ensure that the server takes your order correctly or you could be in for a shock when the bill comes. The couple we were with had this happen to them."

"A delicious prime rib, a restaurant with ambiance, and reasonable prices are reasons for our return visits to Kincaid's. Now we have another reason -- the stupendous scallops. I've eaten mediocre and delicious scallops, and these were by far some of the best scallops I've eaten. The scallops were amazingly fresh and light, smooth, and grilled to perfection. I originally thought the tuna tartar and caviar topping was strange, but the flavors melded together. The only problem was there were only 4 scallops, so it was a good thing my husband and I shared the prime rib and scallops. We'll be back!"

"We made reservations for Valentine's Day at 7:45, but had to wait until 8:30 to be seated. we were able to wait in the bar. It's expensive; $30 for 2 drinks and appetizer in bar, $150 for the dinner. Kincaids is OK, but there are other restaurants in the area that do a better job for that kind on money! Try Eddie Merlots, Coopers Hawk, Flemmings, or Ruth Chris."

"Well, for an early dinner (5:30) on a Sunday, service could've been a little better. The whole restaurant was pretty empty but when people came in, they seated everyone right together in the same area. Not sure if it was to accommodate the waiter, which he could've used some help, but why cramp everyone up and infringe on other's conversations when there were plenty of areas open to seat these parties of 4+? Kincaid's, almost every location, has great food. Nice restaurant as well."
