"My partner and I were visiting his family in Dallas for his birthday and was recommended s Al Biernat's for a special birthday dinner. When we arrived, the maître d immediately wished my partner, as most of the staff did, a very happy birthday. The care and attention they gave was unsurpassed. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!!!"

"Went to Al Biernat's for Mother's Day brunch. While I realize this is a challenging day for restaurants, never the less the service was very disappointing. When we arrived, departing customers were complaining about the valet parking and grabbing keys out of storage in frustration. An appetizer of Calamari was served stone cold. After a long wait ,the waiter agreed to replace the calamari and bring drinks. Neither arrived for over 15 minutes. Finally hot calamari was delivered but no drinks. This pattern of disinterested service continued throughout the lunch. I expect better out of this old favorite place. We will give Al's another shot I am sure but,there are too many great choices in Dallas to put up with this."

"While this restaurant is thought of primairly as a steak house, the menue is much broader and includes a variety of seafood dishes and specialty items not normally found in the best steak houses. Great food, excellent service and warm friendly atomsphere. One of our faverites."

"My family was visiting from out of town and I wanted to treat them to a special dinner at Al Biernats. The service was outstanding as usual but I have mixed feelings about the steak preparation. I ordered the Waygu 20 oz bone in ribeye to be cooked medium-rare and the cut was prepared close to medium-well. Even our server made mention of it. At close to $70 per cut, I was hesitant to send it back. At that price though, I expect my steak to be cooked perfectly though so I asked our server to refire the entree. 15 minutes later, I receive a steak that is cooked rare. I settled on it figuring that's about the closest to medium rare I was going to get. My sister had a similar issue but to a lesser extent. Still a great place to go though!"

"My wife and I came in for the first time to celeberate our 1 year anniversary. From the moment we came to the houstess stand to the time we left all of our expectations were met. Our server Jesus was wonderful, food was excellent and Al him self was very nice and responsive to all customers."

"This place is just outstanding, the Service and food...wedge salad, appetizers and Steaks. Better than Pappas, Three Forks, Bob's Chop & Steakhouse, Ruth Chris, Chamberlians and etc.... "Mother's Day Sunday brunch we had 1:30 reservation, arrived at the restaurant a little early (1:10), parking lot abuzz, efficiently valeted, escorted inside, greeted warmly, got our table a little early(1:16), hostess very cordial, menus in hand, server with drink orders pronto, Al comes to the table for a greeting(attention to guests 5*). Today was Caesar salad (it's large, splitting one is good at lunch) and the absolutely luscious pot roast (favourite Sunday fare from when it was homemade), healthy succulent offering of an American staple. Service and food were at the usual high standard I've received every time I've been in. Al's is simply the best I've found in Dallas!!!"

"A friend and I were visting dallas and I had done some research on steaks. I'd never heard of Al Biernats but between a good review and a great recommendation from a bartendar at our hotel, we ended up here. We both had their special ribeye whcih was locally grown, grass fed organic etc and it was hands down the best steak i've ever had. The seasoning they use is perfect as it enhances the flavor of the meat without covering it up. Also, our service was flawless and like everywhere else we went in Dallas, everyone was super friendly.
Don't pass up an opportunity to go hee."

"We've been coming to this restaurant for years and they have never disappointed before in any way until this visit. Our server was just not up to par for Al Biernats. There was even a major mistake made in one order... I don't believe for a minute that the wrong steak would have been sent out from the kitchen unless the server had failed to put the order in correctly. It was corrected VERY quickly. Our out of town guest only had to wait a few minutes for the correction...still, it was a bit embarrassing since we had raved to him how wonderful this restaurant was. The food was wonderful as always...thank goodness"

"This restaurant may not have wine list like Pappa Bros, Three Forks and others but their Prime Steaks are supreme. You will not find any better in Dallas. I love the restaurant and service, very friendly and attentive staff. I gave 3 stars to service as our waitress this time could have been a little more attentive, we had to ask another Server and Server's Assistant for some items. The corn/crab chowder is amazing, best wedge salad I have ever had and the steaks melt in your mouth. Good here, I promise as a Foodie, you will not be disappointed. I have been going to this restaurant for 8 years and it is worth it."

"Selected Al Biernats to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary and they definitely delivered:great vibe, outstanding service by our waiter, Forrest, and everyone's food was delicious. I had the 14oz filet cooked medium rare and it melted in my mouth. My father had the surf n turf, 3oz lobster tail with 8oz filet, and he loved it. I sampled the lobster tail with butter sauce and regreted not getting a tail myself. Our entire party of 7 had a very memorable time. All the staff made sure to congratulate my parents on their very special occasion. The night ended with us sharing the coconut cream pie. It lived up to the hype that a coworker of mine had given it. The service was top notch and definitely look forward to dining here again."

"I took my son and daughter ages 22 and 16 for the first time as a special treat. For my son's major accomplishment of graduating from Vanderbilt University on the dean's list all 4 years and for my daughter's fine job her sophomore year at Lakehill Prep of continuing to make straight A's and playing 3 sports too. We had a fabulous time and the food at Al's was amazing as it always is. Our collective favorite item from our dining experience was Al Biernats salad - delicious."

"Al Biernats is now one of my favorite steakhouses! We arrived about 5 minutes late for an 8:00 reservation and were seated immediately. Our server, Rock, certainly had a hand in turning a good experience into a great one. Though profressional, he was very friendly and full of suggestions. He even reccomended half-portions of certain items, which I appreciated. The bone-in, wagyu ribeye was amazing: so were the crm spinach and the mac-n-cheese.
The wine list was priced better than similar steakhouses. I liked that the sommelier himself came to tell us they were out of our first choice in wine. He suggested a wine that was priced 15% lower than the first bottle and it was fantastic!
I will definitely be back!"

"My wife and I visited on a Tuesday night to celebrate a special occasion and had a great time. The food was excellent and the service was attentive yet not overly intrusive. We have been to this restaurant twice and our only complaint had been the noise level. At times it can be difficult to carry on a conversation across the table. So if you're looking for a quiet, romantic date spot this probably isn't the place for you but if you want a great place to celebrate a special occasion give it a try."

"Service was ok and food was excellent. We sat at a four person table. The noise was so loud that you could hear only the person right next to you. The noise is very distracting when you are trying to carry on a conversation over a beautiful meal."

"I want to clarify that we were there for Sunday brunch only. Everything went fine, food was fine, service was a little slow even considering that the place was not crowded, but I do not understand why all the rave about their brunch. Most good hotel brunches are far better."

"My husband and I went to Al's for Sunday Brunch and it was fantastic! The brunch menu can be pricey, but it is definately worth it! The brioche french toast was to die for and when we went they had Al's Special which was a salmon omelette, just wonderful~~ Hope to try Al's for dinner soon!"

"...I have dined at Al Biernat's many times. The food never disappoints (although my $65 strip was undercooked). On this visit, I had an overwhelming sense of being rushed the entire dinner. The waitress was in a big hurry to get us to order - sighed audibly when we asked to have cocktails before we decided what we wanted to eat - we weren't even through with our salads when the entree's arrived. A busboy tried to take one of my dining partner's salad plate three times before she was through. I get it, we all like responsive service and food served hot from the kitchen, but this was different. It was rushed and it felt like it. I mean we had a reservation and wanted to linger somewhat..."

"Normally we come on a date here but since it was my oldest daughters 19th birthday we took the whole family which included a 13 yr old and 8 yr old. Although there is not a kid menu the waiter kindly said they could make spaghetti and chicken fingers which pleased the younger kids. They were not made to feel unwelcome and really enjoyed the evening."

"Awesome in every way....first visit there. Went for our anniversary and we were treated like family. Our server could not have been more helpful. "WONDERFUL time with my wife on Thursday night. It was her first Al Biernats dining experience and it did not disappoint. From the valet, to hostess, to Lance (our FANTASTIC waiter), to the Manager coming to our table, it was 5 star service. "It was a great experience. I had Greek salad with two very large shrimp. The Greek was great and the shrimp cooked perfectly. A guest with us had Salmon with Spinich. It looked outstanding. I will try that the next time in. I live in Mckinney, but will definately bring my wife and friends back for an evening treat. This is a great venue for a business lunch."

"Very expensive dinner -- for my budget, a "special event" place. Absolutely superb service and quality food, especially the meats.
As a vegetarian, I thought some of the assorted vegetable "entree" preparations were undistinguished; the next time I'll order my vegetables a la carte -- especially the spinach and creamed corn!
Wonderful starters (baked goat cheese with portabella), salads and desserts (Grand Marnier creme brulee).
Again, the service was superb. We'll definitely return."
