"The food was delicious, the wine was excellent, and the staff were very attentive. The only flaw was the noise level from the patrons which is not the fault of the staff. The chilled lobster appetizer was absolutely divine. My husband enjoyed the oysters and braised pork shank. The breads were all delicious! My veal Oscar was very good with succulent lumps of crab. We chose not to get dessert but the staff brought out a wonderful little cheesecake for us to share since they knew we were there for a special occasion which was totally unexpected and very nice."

"Oysters were fresh and delicious! My scallops were very tasty as was my husbands Mahi Mahi. The only negative I found is that you have to walk through a smoke filled casino to get to the restaurant."

"One of the truly memorable dining experiences I have had in some time. From the head chef, Ed coming by to check on us to the attention-to-detail displayed by a more-than-competent staff, to as fulfilling a meal as you will find in the Pocono region, there wasn't a beat missed by the entire staff and establishment."

"Except for the 28 day aged rib-eye steak the entire experience was disappointing. The kitchen is open to the dining room. The clanging of pots & pans and dishes is so loud as to make having a conversation, nearly impossible. The wait staff line the walls acting juvenile and distracting. Our baked potatoe was underdone and the creamed spinach was luke warm. This new potatoe was hot but the creamed spinach was still only luke warm. The manager offered us a free desert but we declined. We wanted a hot meal. To top it off we wanted a to-go box for the left overs. The staff gave us the steak but not the sides. This is not a fine dining restaurant on the scale of Ruth's Chris even though it's just as expensive. Great potential, poor management."

"There aren't too many good restaurants in the poconos but this was as good as any 5 star restaurant in NYC but very reasonably priced. Outstanding food."

"We dined for my sisters' bachelorette party so I requested a bottle of wine when I made the reservation. This proved to be far more complicated than simply ordering it upon arrival, as we were asked three times by different employees what we would like to drink. To top it off, we were charged almost double what the bottle claimed to cost on their website. The main waiter, Michael, was very nice and professional and we did appreciate him - not sure what the point of having multiple servers per table was if they don't actually talk to each other. The salads we ordered were lackluster - the cheese was very dry. Steaks were amazing so we would go back - however we would ask to not be seated so close to the kitchen as it was extremely warm/loud."

"Red is an excellent choice for a romantic dinner, especially if a booth is requested. The food is prepared beautifully and delicious tasting. We loved the Clams Casino - the broth was incredible for dipping. We also enjoyed the oysters. We had the salad that was a special on the menu and it was prepared with apples and walnuts and a very nice dressing. For dinner we had the filet mignon which melted in our mouths and we had the scallops served with a delicious risotto. For dessert, we had cappuccino and shared the creme brulee. The creme brulee was not our favorite, but everything else was excellent."

"Our experience at Red Steakhouse in the Mount Airy Casino was excellent. Our service was never lacking and the food was delicious. We even enjoyed dessert (Chocolate Espresso Creme Brulee) which we never do! My husband is part owner of a restaurant and so is always very critical when we go out to eat, and HE hand nothing but good things to say!"

"We love a great meal, and eat out often, and Red Steakhouse was a pure delight. The service was fantastic, fresh bread brought often to our table, french onion soup was quite unusual, with onion straws standing up in the soup. Very tasty. Our steaks were great - filet and a porterhouse, bearnaise sauce was wonderful, asparagus was huge. We also tried the berries and grand marnier with fresh whipped cream, and were surprised with an extra dessert with an anniversary message from the kitchen. Great place for a lovely meal."

"Your food is very good however your prices are way out of line. I have had meals at restaurants that were just as good at almost half the cost. My friends take home a week what a dinner for four cost at your restaurant, therefore, I could not recommend you."

"Clearly, the kitchen lost our order as our waitress and the Manager argued with the Chef in front of all to see. We waited over an hour for our entrees while many other parties that came in well after us were served their meals.
Eventually, the food did arrive and it was delicious! The waitress apologized profusely many times and the Manager eventually comped one meal and dessert to effectively turn a difficult situation into a much more favorable experience."

"Below are my notes based on a recent experience: Pros- filet mignon was excellent, had a nice crust, and was cooked perfectly, compares to other high end steakhouses. My wife's bone in rib eye was very good, but not spectacular. Bearnaise sauce was very good. Wild mushroom side was also excellent and had a great sauce. Steaks were 4 of 5 worthy...overall food I would give a 3 due to the salad and app.
Cons: ordered a bottle of wine but it was not served until after the appetizer we ordered. We had to remind the server for it. Shrimp cocktail was average and size was not "jumbo" as I am accustomed to at other steakhouses. Skip the vine ripened cherry tomato and mozzarella salad....it was very average, bland."

"Tip to everyone, get the 28 day aged porter house. It's the reason to go to Red's, it is one of the best steaks you will ever buy. Right from the start you are treated like royaly; A team of 3 comes out and gets your drink orders, the bread is really good and the speciality spreads for them. Are they expensive, yes. Is it worth it, absolutely for a special occasion or event. It's not your typical Applebee's experience and it was exactly what I was hoping for."

"This was a great spot to spend Valentines Day with my love! Chef special was amazing. We had a wonderful time. Even though it was busy and there were ppl waiting outside, the staff was wonderful and you didn't feel rushed or slighted in the least."

"Valentine's Day special was expensive and disappointing. Salad was small. Meat was good. Veggies undercooked and cold. Potato was HARD - way undercooked. Coffee was cold. Dessert and champagne were good. Too dark to read menu. Rose was a beautiful surprise. Expected more for $270 for party of 4."

"The staff at Red took great care of us. The food was good, and we loved that it was closed off from the casino. We will definitely return on our next trip to the Mt. Airy resort."

"i was expecting a quiet romantic restaurant with good food, good drinks. definately not quiet. We were seated at the back next to the open kitchen, with the chef standing 5 feet away from us. plates were clacking, and orders were being talked about. hard to concentrate on having a relaxing quiet meal. did not seem very romantic either. Leslie who was one of the waitresses was wonderful."

"The convienience of eating within the casino is a plus if youre a gambler but, the cigarette smoke permiated into the restaurant making the experience less desirable . I do t think there is much you can do about that. The staff and manager were great. One steak was slightly under cooked and the staff along with the manager were very responsive. Food came back perfectly cooked with a full plate of replaced sides to enjoy. Also, we each received a complimentary glass of wine for our inconvience. The special (Delmonico steak) was every good. The rib eye was good but I have had better for less money."
