"My family and I had a very pleasant experience at Cafe Bizou. We were seated promptly and in a comfortable booth in the covered front patio. Our server was excellent - he was knowledgeable and accommodating about the menu, visited our table a nice number of times to make sure we were taken care of, and was very friendly and charming to all of us. Here's how our meals broke down: Best: the lobster bisque, the steak au poivre, medium rare, and the bread pudding. Very Good: the shrimp and scallops with tagallini, and the lobster tails and risotto from the Father's Day menu. I'd gladly take my family back to Cafe Bizou for other special occasions."

"I love this place. The prices are remarkably reasonable for quality food, especially in L.A. Staff is friendly and attentive. And how can you not love a place that charges only $2 corkage fee. Have been eating at Bizou for 15 years, and it's no mystery why it's one of L.A.'s most popular restaurants. Will be back next time I'm in town."

"This is our neighborhood go-to favorite spot for lunch or dinner, for families, as a couple, with girlfriends for a fun lunch and for the guys for a man lunch. We love the menu and always appreciate the specials, prix fix, fabulous corkage fee, and dollar soup or salad! Those special prices keep us coming back! Phillip always greets us as friends and the wait staff is wonderful. We stay a long time and never feel rushed, but we do try to always tip the servers accordingly."

"Went for a little end-of-the-school year celebration with out teenage girls who love this place. As usual, everything was fabulous! We had a delicious dinner in the patio area of the restaurant and had a wonderful young man wait on us who just made the evening that much more delightful. All-in-all, worth the wait!"

"The food is very good and reasonably priced. My wife and I had the sand dabs and halibut, and split a very large bread pudding desert. Beware of parking on the very inviting open spaces on the adjacent side streets. Parking is forbidden after 6pm every night. I never thought to check the signs, as this proscription is something I never encountered previously. The ticket kind of spoiled the evening. I think that the cafe should post a warning notice, if they want to continue to attract people form outside the area."

"Cafe Bizou consistently delivers delicious food at very reasonable prices. On a recent visit, I had their Rack of Lamb - tender medallions bathed in a mint flavored reduction sauce that was totally delicious and cooked to my specifications. Another visit featured Steamed Maine Lobster (a Monday night special) which is medallions of lobster in a lobster sauce over fettuccine with tomatoes, mushrooms, and snap peas. We also tried their Beef Wellington on another visit - again delicious. The chef is adept with sauces, and so dishes with those are always wonderful. The dollar salad and two-dollar caesar are fine accompaniments - not amazing but good. Waitstaff is attentive without being intrusive. Make reservations or go early!"

"Restaurants come & go but Cafe Bizou has been consistently outstanding since it opened many years ago. Prices are reasonable with a $2 corkage fee. Doesn't get much better than that. Extensive menu and daily specials. The bouillabaisse on Friday nights is fabulous along with most of their other daily specials. Crowded on weekends so reservations are a must. If you are looking for a great dinner, professionally served, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere, you can't go wrong with Cafe Bizou. It is our favorite restaurant for lunch or dinner."

"We had a great night. Everything about the restaurant was great. My only problem was with the flowers. They were late. They were not there on the table for our 7:00PM dinner. They did come in the middle of dinner. But it lost a little of the effect that way. The delivery was late."

"I found the staff very kind and welcoming. Everyone was very attentive and gracious. But I must admit I was disappointed with the food. It was my first time there and I think most people were there for the ambiance rather than the food. It was a bit too uptight for my taste. Some rude man cut across everyone at the valet and it seemed like everyone viewed that as acceptable. I guess that dramatic flare adds to the ambiance. The food was just ok. I am vegetarian and a steamed vegetable place was the only option. The rest of the people in my party were not vegetarian but I noticed that none commented on their food while eating. It wasn't that we didn't like it. It just wasn't impressive."

"This place has very moderate prices for decent French bistro fare but desperately needs some new furniture and a paint job---even Cost Plus furniture would be an improvement. I get that moderate prices are very important but I drove from the other side of the hills and it was 105 degrees in The Valley....that drove my expectations that Cafe Bizou would look and feel far better than it does."

"Cafe Bizou is outstanding. We arrived for our two pm reservation and the restaurant was overflowing with people. (Mothers day is the busiest time of year for restaurants!) we were a bit late and they still held out table! The owner Philipp is truly the kindest gentleman. He really knows how to run a busy successful restaurant. The food is out of this world good. Especially the lobster bisque. I come to cafe bizou simply because they have the best lobster bisque I have ever tasted.
Take your husband or wife... Take your kids.... This place is amazing."

"I’ve seen this place for years and there was always a line out the door. Now I know why. We tried it last Saturday night and everything was first rate. The food, the wine, the service, everything. This place is a fantastic value as well; our meals were as good or better than several I’ve had that cost 5 times as much. Highly recommended!"

"This restaurant is a long-time favorite. I ordered the black pasta with lobster, shrimp & scallops in a delicious sauce. There was plenty of the seafood and the whole dish was delicious. Cafe Bizou is always my first choice to take people from out-of-town because we are never disappointed."

"If I lived closer this is the kind of place I would eat at on a regular basis. Price points on their food were very good. Service was very friendly and prompt. Food quality was very good. Recommend you try the daily specials. Wine list was well thought out and will please the wine snobs as well as the average diner. Will definitely be going back."
