Marston's
Known in Pasadena as a great breakfast & lunch restaurant since 1987, our goal is to make you feel at home and comfortable while serving you fresh, delicious, high quality food. In 2010, The Food Network Magazine named Marston's "Best Breakfast in California". We serve breakfast and lunch until 2:30, Happy hour from 3pm to 7pm, and dinner from 5pm to 9pm(10pm on Friday and Saturday). We have nightly chef specials and kids eat free on Wednesday's 5-9pm with the purchase of adult entree.

"A nice surprise...Don't let the casual atmosphere fool you. The servers are young and energetic. The mango crab salad was delicious! Our server suggested the Halibut, which was served over a mushroom risotto. It was incredible! The fish was cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place."

"We were looking for a place for a breakfast University Graduation Celebration for a party of 18. We took a chance with this place based on its website and reviews. Such a great find, we can't wait to go back! It was impressive enough for the urban 20 somethings and affordable enough for Mom & Dad to pick up the tab.
Service was excellent! We even saw the owner serving nearby tables ... good for him!"

"I took my mom, gf and brother out on mothers day. I ordered the special along with my mom. The special was a the filet. I odered it medium. When severed it was rare. I sent the steak back and two min later, I had another one- or so I thought. I very soon discovered the "cooks" if they can be called that, put the steak in the microwaves and sent back. The nerve of these guys!"

"Went here for Mothers Day on Saturday, not crowded but full and the food was AMAZING! A couple different types of eggs benedict with different sauces and their sandwiches looked awesome. Cant wait to go back!"

"We live in Pasadena, lived in Stevenson Ranch and my wife's parents still live in Santa Clarita. We were looking forward to an enjoyable early Mother's Day dinner. Service was OK, but it seemed like the chef' s family was in the restaurant and the servers engaged with watching the kids, not serving. As regards the food, poor at best. The bread on the French toast and the tuna melt was very hard and dry. While we were waiting for our food, couples that came in later than we did were served. The interior? my daughter nailed it: bland, with a few small Pasadena styled paintings and a mission styled door. Craftsman redux. Doubt we will return."

"Not as good as our experiences with the one in Pasadena -- we gave it an overall grade of C. Food was ok, but not memorable, service was good but impersonal, and as it got busier, the wide open design allowed the sound level to go beyond what we find comfortable. We did not dislike it, but we did not love it either. We are both very good cooks, so perhaps we are fussier than normal. Be that as it may, we would call this Marston's "adequate" and that's about it."

"I found this through Google, made reservations for the next day for Brunch for a party of 4. This was our experience dining here. The waiting list was quite long, however, I had made reservations. When the host came back to the front, I told him we had reservations and he seemed very pleased about this. He knew just who we were, called me by name and seated us right then and there. Everyone around us were very surprized.
We had a window seat, very lovely. Our experience was excellent from start to finish.
I do suggest making reservations however. It is very busy on weekends! Prices are very reasonable as well, We will definitely be dining again."

"The staff here look like they've been out late and half asleep at work. A little smile and liveliness would go a long way to a friendlier staff. The food wasn't that much better either. I had the pulled pork sandwhich which was a bit dry. Could have definitely used more BBQ sauce on the pork. OK for lunch, but nothing else."

"I love this place - it's just great! Happy hour is the bomb with the lead app being the crab cakes - fantastic!! The chef is friendly and will bring your food to you if he isn't too swamped. Service was wonderful and the ambience was very nice. Ultra clean and inviting...sometimes the music was a bit rough for the dinner crowd...might want to smooth that out a bit.
Overall, great and I will definitely come back again and again."
