"I cannot tell you how many time I have diriven past Al Dente without stopping in. What shame, I should not have waited so long! We dined on Saturday night- what a treat! Al Dente is a from scratch kitechn. Everything is made fresh and to order. The menu items were well chosen without much over-lap of flavor. I am already looking forward to a return visit! Lucky to have this gem in my "backyard"!"

"It was a rough end of the work week. So, we decided to have a peaceful dinner at Al Dente.
The experience couldn't have been better. The food was outstanding, as it always is.
The service both personable and professional. They truly appreciate their guests, and their service and actions reflect it.
Thanks to the General Manager, The Floor Supervisor and the Staff for setting the stage for a good weekend.

"Wow what can I say , we had 6 in our Mother's Day dinner experience and it was awesome the food delicious, hot, and soooo good the gnocchi appetizer was the bomb the lemoncello cake the best I have had and everyone's entree PERFECT
Our server Taylor was a master at customer service and his knowledge & recommendations were spot on
Everyone we talk to has been referred to your wonderful restaurant and we will be back & we had a reservation for 5pm but got there a little early and the hostess was gracious and sat us at our table, I also want to let you know that there were kids in there too & you would never know it the noise is very minimal"

"We went on a unroutine Monday night and had the best experience ever. The chef had prepared one of favorite specials, and the entire staff received our out-of-town guests graciously and made them feel at home. The meal was as good as ever and the cake and cappaccinos where some of the few restaurant desserts worthnwhile.

"Al Dente plates yet another outstanding meal accompanied by a custom-made special order of four-cheese rigatoni.
We have not found another restaurant in South Jersey who prepares fish or steak better than Al Dente; not Capital Grille or Flemings.
Anyone who hasn't tried Al Dente is missing out. A BYOB located in Moorestown across from Moorestown Mall on Nixon Drive.
Consistently great food, with an unbelievable value finished with great service."

"Al Dente Italiana is a nice restaurant with solid food. The beef carpaccio was okay w/the large amount baby arugula, but meat was not sufficient. Service was good with the waiter bringing us glasses ready to pour our BYOB. After receiving the appetizer & entree, we requested pepper & parmesan (he obliged promptly). Lobster ravioli was fresh , because the filling (most likely mostly surimi) was not as mushy as others. Chicken dish ($21.99) was pretty expensive for chicken and taste was decent, but nothing spectacular. The soup or salad that comes with the entree was a nice surprise. Entree sauces were good, but a tad bland. Recommend making the atmosphere cozier (i.e., candles)."

"Another week, another new special. This week the special was fried Hake strips served their signature romesco sauce, a crad cake with meditterean tartar sauce and a side of grilled mixed vegetables. The grilled vegetables were the best side we've had in a long time. As a matter of fact, the grilled vegetables were so good, they could be their signature side all of the time. And then again, there was the homemade spumoni; the best we've ever had. We'll definitely will go back, and you should try it too."

"What more can I write. One word, stupendous!
We have not found another restaurant in Southern New Jersey who can consistently put down great meal after great meal; and no one prepares fresh fish as well as Al Dente.
Thankfully, they had their newest special again this week, Steak Mudega. This week it was paired with a four cheese penne.
Our meal was finished with Vinny's special homemade spumoni. It's awesome.
Five stars to Al Dente, again."

"Well, yet another outstanding experience at Al Dente!
They continue to find creative ways to expand their menu and specials; even desert.
They expanded their menu with a tempura shrimp with clams and lobster over a bed of linguini in a white wine lemon butter sauce. The tempura shrimp, seasoned with italian seasonings were the best we've ever enjoyed.
This week they repeated their Steak Mudega special, but had already sold out by the time we ordered our entrees at 5:30. They very thoughtfully and accomodatingly, prepared another order of Steak Mudega just for us.
To end our meal they had prepared a homemade spumoni. That spumoni alone should be packaged and sold commercially. It was unbelievably good!"

"Wow! We were in conversation with the General Manager about some of our favorite Italian dishes from The Hill (an Italian section of St. Louis). We discussed one of our all time favorite Steak Mudega. She:-)inquired about the dish and inquired if we had the recipe. I googled the recipe and sent it to her. Wouldn't you know that Steak Mudega wasmone of the specials the following Saturday night. By the time we arrived they had already served three orders, and their patrons were raving about it. Thankfully we went early and I wasnalso able to enjoy a dish that I haven't had for seven years. In some ways it was even better than the original. Our hat is off to the General Manager and her staff, they never have disappointed."

"First time at Al Dente and we will be back. The restaurant is beautiful the staff is very friendly. We wanted for nothing everything came out hot from the kitchen and they where very busy very surprised. We had the grilled fish and filet cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the home made gelato all I can say is Wow. Thank you Al Dente for a great Saturday Night"

"we will never return to this restaurant. We arrived on a sat. night for an 8:30 reservation and the place was already in full clean and close up mode even though there were many full tables of diners. the table moving and re setting for the next day were in constant motion as was the floor sweeping. We dined but could never find our waiter who was in the back all nite presumably cleaning up. our capuccinos arrived cold, probably due to the coffee having been turned off earlier and just after the coffee was served the house lights went up. We hadnt even gotten our bill and it was just 9:50 pm on a saturday night! We waited another 15 min. for our check and when my husband spoke with a manager who offered no apologies."

"I went to Al Dente on a uesday night with 2 friends from work. It was my 4th time eating there in the last year, I thought that I would give it another try ater my pevious experience there didnt go so well.I was there areound Christmas time with a group and endedup bitig into a large piece of plastic in my Bolgnaneise. This occasion, we arrived for our reservation at 7:15 and were immediately seated. However, we didnt see our server for 15 minutes. We finaly asked someone and the mnager came by and apologized and gave us an appetizer. The was good except The soup was cold and the Veal Peccata was too tough to cut. Desserts are good."

"We dine mostly in Philly, since that is where we live. At the risk of sounding snobby, S.Jersey is just a bunch of chains/diners...there is no dining "there" there. However Al Dente is a diamond in the ruff...Food is much better than run of the mill Italian, well prepared and presented, and reasonably priced to boot. Service has been very attentive the 2 times we have been here, and having a gellato bar in-house makes deserts interesting.

"Wow!
We experienced a great meal at Al Dente.
The staff couldn't have been more accomodating.
The fresh salmon was grilled to perfection. Our second dish was a made-to-order Rigatoni with Sausage and Peppers in a white wine, lemon, butter sauce. Both of our meals were incredible. The presentation of both of our dishes was beautiful.
Al Dente has never disappointed us. They shoukd be scored 31 out of Zagat's 30 point scale."

"My wife and I have dined at this restaurant numerous times both as a couple and with friends. The food is consistently great as is the service. This time I ordered the crab cakes that were on special for the night and my wife ordered the linguini in vodka sauce. We shared both dishes. They were soooo good that I made it a point to speak to the chef before we left and told him how much we enjoyed his preparations. This is a wonderful place to enjoy a good meal at a reasonable price in a quiet atmosphere. The gelato selection is always awesome as is its taste and quality."

"Based on other's reviews, we were hoping for for a great dining experience. What a disappointment. First and foremost, food left a lot to be desired. Soup (pasta e fagioli) lacked flavor and was served at a tepid temperature. Veal marsala also lacked flavor and meat was very tough. Fellow diner also reported that the crab cakes were bland and lacked flavor. Service was slow and uneven. For example, soups arrived with no bread, which had to be asked for, and it then came late. Pasta course was ordered as appetizer, but it was brought out with the main entree, which also came with a side of pasta. Overall, not a very enjoyable experience."

"Thanks to OpenTable we found this great restaurant.
The seating was comfortable and cozy. The service was friendly and prompt, and the food was terrific!

"I was not impressed with my meal this visit. I have been here in the past and have experienced much better quality and taste to the food. The seafood tasted like it may have been around a little too long, and my daughter's chicken fingers were very greasy.

"Family birthday dinner - everybody enjoyed their meals. We make it here at least twice a month. Food is consistently tasty and the servers are accommodating. We were here this past weekend with a group of 8, but also enjoy dinners here with 2 or 3 people. Good setting for any size group."
