Local Three
Using one the best kitchens in the country, Local Three presents a neighborhood spot with really good food, beverage and service! Join us for a come-as-you-are atmosphere and "foie gras in your flip flops" ambiance with the best quality cuisine at affordable prices alongside intriguing wine and beer lists and a full bar. Chef Chris Hall was formerly Chef de Cuisine at Canoe and most recently helped Jay Swift open 4th & Swift. The bottom line: Real, honest food served by people who care - at a fair price in a comfortable atmosphere.

"This is a great spot for client meetings as well as dinner with my hubby. The food is always spectacular - I would say you can never go wrong with the trout, but one could say that about the entire menu (the trout just stands out because that's what I had yesterday). If I could describe the food in one word, it would be FRESH. My only regret is that I don't always have room for dessert."

"I had the crawfish quesadilla for a starter and the pork carnitas for my entree and both were fantastic! Will recommend and will go back! I went on a Thursday - it was easy to get a reservation and it was also a great happy hour place. Weekends are hard to get in, so book in advance."

"We had been there several times. The menu changes frequently and we felt the food was good , but not great. In the past we felt there so many items on the menu, that we wanted to go back and get the others we did not try. Can not say that this time"

"For those that have not been, I highly recommend. Our server, Ken was great. Very knowledgeable about the menu. We brought our own wine. The cool thing here is they only charge a $10 corkage fee which the restaurant gives to the server. We had the cheese plate (very good). Everyone's meal was excellent. Two items that were a must, the carnitas and the s'mores dessert."

"Local 3 is one of our regular stops. Normally my wife and I sit at the bar but we had visitors in from out of town and made a reservation. Reserve early as it fills up quickly. Food was fantastic and varied and they had just completely redone their menu a few weeks before so several new items to try plus a good selection of daily specials."

"Night started out rough. Reservations seemed nothing more than a suggestion to the rather indifferent hostess. Forty minute wait for two and the hostess seemed to care less about checking back with us. Pushed over to a small, narrow, crowded and loud bar and got to enjoy the pretentious attitude of a bartender who obviously either hated his job or truly hated being in the business.
Night was saved by a terrific wait staff and terrific food. We sat back and allowed the knowledgable staff make one terrific recommendation after another for us! Truly, I almost left based on hostess and bartender and now I am glad I stayed (I had been here once before). Assuming you make it to your table, you will enjoy a great meal!"

"We didn't think that there could be a better small plate/appetizer than the beef Royale (with gouda cheese, capers shallot, and egg). But the lump crab salad with honey mustard ice cream is now our favorite. The small plates/appetizers at this restaurant are so good (we also shared the beef royale, fig bruschetta, the duck fat fried lamb ribs, and the cheese tasting) that we can never get to the "Mains." The only jarring note to an otherwise perfect dining experience was that the coffee (served with an excellent pistachio cheesecake) was extremely hot."

"My wife and I decided we needed to go into Atlanta for a change from local establishments. The service was excellent, the ambiance good and the noise level high but we were still able to converse. I ordered a blueberry salad and my wife ordered as blueberry desert. Both were exceptional. We each ordered a different fish entree that was exremely meager, nothing exceptional and grossly over priced. My wife had a glass of her favorite variety of wine and thought it to be the best she had ever had.
Unfortunately, this establishment is memorable for what was bad and not what waa good!"

"This is a repeat visit to Local Three. I have not been disappointed with any of my meals. The meat loaf over potatoes was so delicious. I couldn't resist trying the pimiento cheese grits and they were over the top good. I look forward to going again soon. Their menu is always so interesting. "First time at Local Three. The brunch was outstanding. We enjoyed every dish. Our favorite part was going into the kitchen to get our food. How fun for a foodie! The chefs and cooks were all so friendly and welcoming. Our waitress shared some of the innovative things that the owners are doing. We'll be back! Oh, did I mention that the brunch is $19.93 a person? A real deal!"

"We loved this restaurant and will certainly return. Everything from the drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert were perfect. The only thing I will note is that the food was a little on the salty side but not anything unbearable. The charcuterie made in house was delicious, I definitely recommend that for my fellow piggy lovers! I ordered the soft shell crab and squid ink risotto...to die for! Then the dessert was just the best...cayenne pepper in a s'more chocolate mousse! Simply amazing. Great for our anniversary dinner and the service was great. It's rare you find a server as knowledgeable and personable as the one we had. All in all it was great and can't wait to go back!"

"We had an 8:00 pm reservation. We did not even get sat until after 8:45 after many inquires on our table. Apparently our table was "given away" to people who showed up at 6:30 and were told they could use it but had to leave by 8. Yet the staff had no intentions of kicking them out at 8. It was my husbands 35th Birthday and his parents were in town. So it was VERY frustrating to be standing around for over 45 minutes waiting for a table that we booked a month ago. We kept being promised "one minute more" and that they would bring us apps to hold us over. That didnt happen. Once we finally got sat close to 9, the staff did make attempts to make it up to us. They provided us with free appretizers and desserts. Probably wont be back"

"We had never heard of Local Three until reading about its brunch in Atlanta Magazine. So for Easter, we decided to try it. Our group of five ranged in age from 9 to 70 and all ranked the food and experience very highly. "This is my new "go to" restaurant. I've been telling all my friends and complete strangers about Local Three. The food and the service are both EXCELLENT!!!! The menu changes seasonally, but right now (dinner menu) you must try the PB&J Hummus and the Roasted oyster mushroom salad...but you will not go wrong with anything you order. I really like how creative the chefs are with the menu offerings. Check it out, you will not be disappointed."
