"We were there for brunch on Mother's Day; the meal was uneven in quality. My appetizer was excellent, but the tuna nicoise salad was two star; the tuna was dry and overcooked. I' ve had better. Others in our party said there wasn't enough sauce on the eggs benedict, and it was hard to tell if there was any dressing on some of the salads. Desserts were excellent. It was a busy day, but still expected more consistency. Waiter seemed a little indifferent."

"While this is not a place I would recommend going to every night, it is always a great experience. It is very classic french cuisine, but even for a picky pallet there are options for you. Even when I explore something out of my comfort zone, the meal still ends up being great, so for the less daring I encourage you to branch out.
For the gluten free people there are also options for you, even down to the desserts which mean you can still enjoy your meal with out missing too much."

"We eat at Lake Park Bistro at least five times a year and have come to expect outstanding food and service. We made a reservation for Mother's Day early in the evening as my wife's mother was in town and we were hoping to beat the dinner rush. Unfortunately, shortly after we were seated our servers had a very full section and our service suffered. There was some confusion over the wine menu which caused our bottle of wine to be delivered after our meals were mostly consumed. We didn't have her open the bottle and settled for a glass but it definitely took something away from the experience.
I know this is most likely a one time bad experience and will not hesitate to return for another night of their wondrous fare."

"Lake Park Bistro is a beautiful place with a breath-taking view of Lake Michigan to go to celebrate that special occasion. Our meal was fabulous and our servers suggested wonderful wine parings with our meal. Our meal was fantastic, but we were disappointed when some of the food choices we wanted were already sold out. The restaurant was very busy that evening and our servers did not check in as often as usual, but service was still good."

"Lake Park Bistro has one of the best, if not the best kitchen staffs in Milwaukee. Meal after meal you know you can count on a high level of exectuion. Have found the service levels in this as well as other Bartollota restaurants to be a bit erratic as it was on this night. Why not horrible, certainly not to the same standards as the kitchen.. All in all, a really great meal and enjoyable experience."

"Had a surprise birthday party for my husband. It was our first venture to Lake Park Bistro, we were treated as if we we were long time guests. The food is absolutely amazing and the wait staff impeccable as well as personable. A very enjoyable evening was had by all, and especially the birthday guest. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"I thought I would surprise my wife with a pre-Mother's Day lunch on May 10th. Having dined at LPB many times in the past our expectations were high. The service was very good. Our requested window table available and the wine and creamy mushroom soup were superb. My wife enjoyed her duck confit entre however I was less than impressed with the house made country pork pate and entre, Mediterranean sea bass and mussels. Unfortunately, all my selections were quite bland. I hope to enjoy a better experience during our next visit. Given our outstanding past experiences at Lake Park Bistro I am sure we will not be disappointed."

"We celebrated my mom's 86th birthday at Lake Park Bistro. Upon being seated, Mom noticed a folded upright card that wished her a happy hirthday. The waitor was very accommodating in bringing a low small table to put flowers on that we had brought. The salmon was delicous, and substitution to lentils from potatoes was not a problem. Mom was surprised by a slice of flourless chocolate cake topped with strawberries and cream with a candle, beautifully presented after the meal. The waitor was great about taking photos of our group with multiple cameras. It was a memorable lunch for a special occasion."

"My bride and I celebrated our first anniversary at the Lake Park Bistro. You go to a great restaurant for great food. Our scallop appetizer was fabulous. My mushroom soup was wonderful and it was presented in a very appealing way. Our entrees were both great. I had the beef bourguignon and my bride had a filet mignon. She said that the steak was even better than what I grill at home. Imagine that! The view was wonderful. Service was excellent, with little extra surprises that set the evening apart as something very special. This was the perfect way for us to celebrate what has been the best year of our lives. This is the second marriage for each of us, and we both know how to appreciate excellence."

"We recently moved to Milwaukee from California and our dinner experience at the Lake Park Bistro was comparable to an upscale French restaurant in the Bay Area. We enjoyed a table with a view of Lake Michigan which coupled with the fine food made a memorable evening. The wine list is all French and a nice bottle of Cote de Rhone which complemented the Steak with Bernaise sauce as well as the excellently prepared Squab."

"This experience... not as FABULOUS as our last. We had the snails, delicious!!! I had the lamb stew, very rich and overly fatty. I had a hard time finishing it. Table was wonderful as we were sitting by the window. View was great and can only imagine it getting better when the weather gets better and the sun stays out longer to enjoy it! Service was average. It was just enough, nothing to write home about.
My husband and I really enjoy this place! We will definitely come back!"

"First, the restaurant did not have my reservation made on this website.
The place was extremely loud. I don't know if Monday night is business dinner night, but the setting was not romantic at all.
Our server was awkward at best. He pretty much talked down to us about how much many we have to spend just because we wanted to use our Bartollotta reward points. He didn't stand up straight, and he didn't conduct himself at the standard we know Bartollotta servers to be.
I wanted to propose to my girlfriend, and the restaurant completely killed any chance of that happening."

"Great place; my friend and I made a dinner of small-plate appetizers, and it was grand. We had the Oeuf mollet (a breaded, soft-boiled egg in a wonderful salad of mushrooms and frisee; when you break the egg it makes a Hollandaise-like dressing), the cured salmon, a salad with baby beets and pistachios, and a lovely cheese plate with kumquats and marmalade -- all with an unparalleled view of Lake Michigan. "This is my second time at Lake Park Bistro. Both times have been truly wonderful. I felt that brunch was an excellent value. The food was both delicious and wonderfully presented. Our servers were knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed having a table next to the window. Even in the small open room it did not feel crowded or loud. I will continue going to Lake Park Bistro to experience everything it has to offer. It is perfect for a casual meal with a friend, a celebration with family, or a romantic evening. It is now my favorite restaurant in Milwaukee."

"The brunch menu is limited and the portions are smaller than the dinner portions, and it's a bit pricey considering they have Eggs Benedict and sandwiches on the brunch menu, although they also offered smaller portions of beef medallions and lamb chop. Overall the service is excellent, and the ambiance is great."

"This local gem of a restaurant never fails to impress. My husband and I recently celebrated our birthdays at LPB and enjoyed a delicious meal from appetizer to dessert. There is a new menu with a few new features that we enjoyed, notably the Garbure soup, freshly made sausage (on Wednesdays), and the new preparation of mussels with a curry broth which were all delicious. Add a window table over-looking the lake and it made a very memorable evening."

"My wife and I try to come here twice a year and every time we do we just can't say enough about the excellent food and service. I also buy gift certificates every year at Xmas for 2 family members and they enjoy coming here as well and your other properties that they have visited. . The view is perfect when we get a seat ny the window and the different choices on the menu each time are such a must to try. Great service your staff is so caring and very personable to make our visit each time a memory. Thank you for your choices on the menu and keep up the great restaurant you have."

"We had Paul for a waiter outstanding!! We had a view of the lake watched the water shift from stormy gray to silver to black. Waves were crashing away. Steak was big enough for two then left overs as well. Never got to the steak thou, by the time got done with a salad, bread and mushrooms was full. Had to leave room for the wonderful brownie dessert! Since we are Bartalotta dining members we had some Bartalotta money. Dinner cost us $20.00 (+tip on the main bill! Wine was half price on Mondays. $35.00 for a great bottle of wine."

"Quite regularly, we have been going to Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro for over ten years. During our last visit, three days ago, the food was quite ordinary instead of excellent as it has been for the last ten years. The lunch menu was poorly presented, xerox copy of the menu was poorly printed and hard to read. The menu used to be printed not xerox-copied. The revised menu items were downgraded by at least one notch. Tuna fish was served as a chopped Tuna, pre-cooked, rather than 4 oz. portion of Tuna steak made to order as rare, medium, or well done (for Niçoise salad). The selection was "watered down", instead of excellent ingredients, the ingredients were quite ordinary. We are no longer planning to go there in the near future."

"Great classic french food. Some items are outdated but classic, so retained on the menu for accurate cuisine. I suggest you ask for Jennifer, who served our group to perfection with a great attitude and aplomb. She listened to us, made great suggestions based on our discussion, and provided a delightful experience.
The wines available per glass at Lake Park Bistro are far above the average experience and are designed to pair wonderfully with the various dishes found here. A wonderful sommelier/wine director is at work here, take advantage of the half priced Sunday wines!
Best dishes we tasted: seared foie gras, escargots, beouf tartare, rabbit, & dover sole. Delightful meringue dessert was light, flavorful and a nice cap to the even"
