Inspired by Japanese pop culture, Sushi Pop’s high quality Sushi takes center stage in a custom designed atmospheric space that evokes the mood of a modern avant-garde dining room. Pink hues from lotus blossom lights, backlit bonsai plants, wallpaper reminiscent of Hokusai's Great Wave and eclectic music styles wash the environment with a relaxing palette to showcase Central Florida’s finest Sushi and Japanese dishes. Sushi that Pops!
"This place is always amazing! Great food, great service, great people. We take all or friends here so they can enjoy out too. Even the friends who aren't sushi people like it.
The kids always like watching them make the peanut butter and jelly dessert."

"Sushi Pop is so much more than a neighborhood sushi joint. They feature innovative pairings in their rolls, and the chefs' creativity knows no bounds in their menu. We loved their Hot Mess roll (think of Denny's except in sushi form), and their Mofo and Ceviche rolls were fresh takes (and tastes) in the often ho-hum world of sushi. Don't pass on their mixed drinks or desserts either. The PMS dessert is simply to die for!"

"As a non seafood lover, it can be difficult to enjoy a sushi dinner with friends. Not at sushi pop though! They have always had wonderful option for me to choose from. From the chicken or pork sushi rolls to pork belky tacos, even beef to cook on a hot rock. I am always a hapoy customer! Save room for dessert as well, it is a must!"

"I hope Sushi Pop is setting the trend of great food in Oviedo. The whole arrangement is Japanese -- every detail has a place and meaning -- the whole setting from the music to decor to food produces an artist's vision. The food is excellent and the service was the best I have seen in years. The staff was helpful and having fun -- a unique experience."

"Who would have thought to find great sushi in Oviedo?! We are rather selective about Sushi, considering the difficulty in finding fresh fish and the price tag involved. The sushi menu has enough variations to please most, and the desserts are the best we have had in a long time - chocolate and peanut butter fans - try the PMS. Their mixed drink and beer selection was of good quality. The interior and music has a retro, almost disco vibe. It can be quite crowded on the weekend, and paired with the cramped space/seating, made for a four star, rather than five star dining experience. We will try during the week to see if that makes for a more relaxing and comfortable meal environment."

"Sushi POP has a menu filled with original creations and a few old classics to satisfy the person in your group that hates new things! The seafood is impeccably prepared and there is never any doubt it isn't as fresh as it could be. Every item has a unique flavor combination, and the small plate sizes make it hard to resist ordering several items! For me this just means there's still something new on this season's menu for me to try when I come back. It can be a little bit loud and distracting, but it is still possible to have an intimate conversation. Some of the gimmicks get stale once you've been a few times, however I enjoy bringing new people and seeing their reactions."

"We eat at many high-end restaurants and many Asian restaurants. Sushi Pop was the best restaurant we've dined at in a long time. Sushi Pop was significantly better than our recently meals at Uchi - just as creative but more satisfying in every way. We can't wait for our next meal at Sushi Pop."

"I've been a customer since they opened and I'm continually impressed with not only the food, but the service. Easily the best sushi restaurant in Orlando, if not the state of Florida."

"Love the vibe, excellent service and very good sushi. I had Red Hots and Lobster and Almond rolls, both were very good. My friends got spicy tuna and coconut shrimp rolls, also very tasty. To end our meal, we all shared the sweet potato bread pudding which was fabulous! Also love their new Happy Hour on Tues through Thurs which offers $4 drinks and rolls 5-630pm. Both times I have been, we have had the same server, Lucy. She is very engaged with her tables, such a great personality! I'm looking forward to going back, wish I lived closer cause I would be there all the time :)"

"This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were extremely impressed with the quality of the sushi and the fun ambiance of the restaurant. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars was because of its size. It's not a big restaurant and I am not a fan of the tiny tables for 2 where you are side by side along a long the wall. When the waitress is talking to the next table, it gets a little crowded. But other than that, this place is a hit and I will defintely be back. Honestly, this place has the best sushi in town and I have searched all over."

"One of the best sushi places in Orlando. Totally worth it to get the more "expensive" rolls. I had heard great things about it, and was definitely not disappointed. Can't believe this place is in Oviedo. :)"

"Fabulous. One of the best restaurants in the Orlando area. Big city restaurant feel. Need reservations as always busy, which is what you want if you are eating sushi ;)! Menu is very creative all the way to dessert. Love this place, wish it was closer to my house, but definitely worth the 30 minute drive to get there!"

"This was my second visit to Sushi Pop and I wasn't disappointed! The service is great and the servers give great recommendations! Sushi Pop offers creative dishes and the fish they use is fresh and tasty. The vibe is very urban and upscale. You wouldn't guess that its so hip from the street. If you're craving Sushi you need to head to Sushi Pop!"

"Hubby and I came here with a couple who had never been and they were very impressed. As usual, Sushi Pop continues to be the best restaurant in the area, if not, best sushi restaurant in Central Florida. Everything from their appetizers, hot tastings, rolls and desserts are guaranteed to satisfy just about anyone's palate. We will not only be back very soon, but every chance we get, we will continue to introduce new patrons to this wonderful establishment. Well done Sushi Pop."

"Sushi is good but a little pricey. It has a pretty unique atmosphere having an anime theme. The servers dress up like anime characters. Saturday night they were all dressed up like pirates."

"We have been to Sushi Pop several times, but this one was a disappointment. For anything but sushi, it is very pricey, with small portions. My wife had 2 Sushi rolls which were tasty. I ordered the Halibut special ($18) which was the size of an appetizer. The fish weighed abour 3 oz, on a 1/4 cup bed of rice. To make matters worse, it was served in an enormous plate, which gave the image of a single dice on a quarter sized bed of rice. The fish was tasty, but was gone in a couple of bites. The server was attentive, and the suggested wine was very appropriate. If you like sushi, it is fine. If you want a varied menu, go somewhere else."

"My fiance and I decided to try Sushi Pop for my birthday dinner. The atmosphere is very nice, with a modern Japanese anime theme and numerous flat-screen tvs to entertain you with various anime shows (they had a show called Yu-Gi-Oh on while we were there). The service was outstanding; fantastically friendly, helpful staff and the shortest wait between ordering and recieving food at a sushi place I have ever experienced. The rolls were alarmingly small for the price, however, but the flavor was great and ingredients were obviously fresh. We also got the dessert called "PMS" and it was amazing, salted caramel ice cream and a peanut butter & chocolate "molten" mini cake. Great experience, besides the rolls being painfully small."

"As usual, the food and service were excellent. The specials are not to be missed, especially if it's a cold tasting. Wish I could remember specifics about last weekend's order. It had tuna inside of a flash fried roll but we ordered it anyway even though we are not typically fans of cooked rolls. It was crispy light, hardly knew it had been fried other than to look at it. But the highlight was the dipping sauce. A kitchen experiment which I hope they can duplicate. We asked for more on the side for our other rolls. Favs for us are the Rising Sun with a subtle mango sauce, Sugi Sugi and as always, Volcano Roll with faux crab (FYI real crab makes this roll entirely different). The menu is pricey but worth it."

There are so many menu choices that I'm sure anyone could eat something there. And the desserts are delicious, hard to choose only one so we always share."

"Another outstanding experience !!! We ordered the Chef's Omakase which is an 8 course menu created by the chef and his team. Highlights of the meal included the avocado/otoro truffle, wagyu tartare and peking duck w/ sweet potato gnocchi. Though known for their excellent sushi, the creativity and range of the chef and his team makes this one of the best restaurants in Orlando. Thanks again for an excellent evening!"
