"My wife and I dine at French Market Bistro regularly and have always been pleased with the experience. Unfortunely that was not the case when we brought the whole family to celebrate Mothers Day. The food was great as always but the service we had was terrible. The waitress started off by not remembering who ordered what drink and it went down hill from there."

"We took two younger guests to dinner and it was their first time at the FMB. We all enjoyed the atmosphere, the numerous tempting menu offerings, and the great food. It was (as always) a delightful experience for us the hosts, and our guests were absolutely delighted."

"My wife and I went for our anniversary and the evening was outstanding. Food was well prepared and tasteful as expected in South Louisiana, my ribeye was perfect and my wife loved the redfish on cedar. The service was without flaw and the server was very knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. The ambience was what we expected and wanted; quiet, cozy and personable."

"They offer a chief's special nearly every night which we get often. Great to have some variety from traditional menu items. Staff is very friendly and attentive."

"Our waitress was excellent. Not obtrusive. I was disappointed in the dishes we ordered. I had eaten there in December for lunch and had a steak and the lettuce wedge with blue cheese dressing. The wedge salad was not on the menu that night. I don't know if the menu was cut down for Valentine's Day but I remembered more choices in December. The menu did not reflect the menu on the website either. We both ordered grouper but prepared differently. Mine was pretty good, but his had a mango 'salsa' type mixture that covered the fish. The cold mango stuff poured over the warm fish just cooled the fish. Not a good combination in our opinion. The hollandaise sauce that came with mine was tasteless and pasty."

"This was our second time to eat dinner at French Market Bistro. Our first experience was awesome,so I chose to dine here again for my birthday last night (2/15/13). Sadly, it did not measure up. We had to wait about 15 minutes for the host who was missing from his station. Several employees passed by the growing line that was waiting to be seated and never acknowledged our presence much less said "our host will be right with you". It was awkward. Our server, although very nice, was scarce when we needed her. Our steaks were over cooked and quite dry. Im thinking the crowd was bigger than expected and they were overwhelmed."

"After having made a reservation for 2:00 pm, I was contacted by the restaurant staff. They told me that the kitchen would be closing (as usual) at 2:00, and advised us to come earlier. We took their advice, arrived at 1:25, and were treated to a fine meal, an unhurried meal, accompanied by an excellent Pinot Grigio. The restaurant was quiet, friendly, and the food lived up to our hopes. We shall go back again when we have the opportunity."

"FMB has a very welcoming atmosphere. My wife and I stopped on the way to New Orleans for lunch, and were impressed by the restaurant. An attractive interior belies the strip center location, and the food was excellent. The marinated seafood salad (crabmeat and shrimp) and the shrimp po-boy are both highly recommended. We will visit again next time in Louisiana."

"Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere here. The Crab and Brie soup is to die for. The warm chocolate chip cookie pie for dessert is one of the best desserts in town! Great restaurant"
