"There aren't a lot of restaurants like this in Omaha. It's a chance to really savor some delicious and skillfully prepared food without spending too terribly much."

"The service is the best in Omaha and the food is superb. They'll give you just the right attention to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your meal. Definitely a food experience. You'll leave wondering why many restaurants in Omaha don't have this kind of service."

Review 4 for Sage Student Bistro - Institute for the Culinary Arts
"the waitstaff are charming as they nervously serve you, but it is all for a good cause - the appropriate preparation of culinary arts professionals. the food was outstanding and we appreciated that week's chef making the rounds visiting tables and explaining the various dishes. he will be sucessful in the industry if he keeps the demeanor and level of professionalism. i would recommend Metro's Sage Bistro to anyone - foodies and nonfoodies alike. it is one of the best restaurants in the greater omaha area and would highly recommend it to anyone in town or visiting from out ot fown. i like the portion sizes and that they support local growers and producers. great gem, make reservations and sporadic schedule for most - hard to plan."

Review 6 for Sage Student Bistro - Institute for the Culinary Arts
"Really fun experience. Got the Prix Frix menu. Lots of fun to try new foods. Waiter was great and explained all the food to us. Brought in our own wine and $10 corkage fee. OR you have a wine pairing with your Prix Frix menu for only $10 more per person. Can't wait to go back! Our waiter, Andrew, gave us a tour of the facility after we ate. So much fun!"

Review 7 for Sage Student Bistro - Institute for the Culinary Arts
"This student institution ought to be teaching the rest of Omaha how to present. Every plate of the amazing prix fixe menu brought "oooohs" from our table. With food this bold and innovative, we were grateful for a patient server who answered our zillion questions. Both head chefs visited our table, clearly proud of what they were creating and willing to chat in detail about how they do it. So much fun! I can't wait to go back."

Review 8 for Sage Student Bistro - Institute for the Culinary Arts
"This restaurant is part of a culinary school, and the service and food preparation is by students. Service is always earnest and charming, it is often (but not always) polished and professional. Food is generally delicious. Patrons are asked to fill out a comment/report card. It is a fun experience and it's great to interact with the students. Setting is lovely. Restaurant is only open Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs so it doesn't compete with "normal" restaurants."

"We took our friends to Sage. They had not been there before though they live close by. They absolutely loved it. Everyone's meal was wonderful. Sad thing though, they only have outdoor sitting during the day hours. Too bad, they have a great patio, but no service outside during dinner."

Review 16 for Sage Student Bistro - Institute for the Culinary Arts
"Elegant dining on a budget. The staff is eager to please and knowledgable. When they don't know something they find out. Chef Jason comes to your table and explains. All foods are fresh and homemade. If you want rare or raw, you'll get it. Very much like in France. You wait between courses - so don't fill up on bread. Soup was a warm, not hot, but that was because you pour the hot broth over sushi grade raw cool tuna and veggies. I felt like royalty with all the staff (students) waiting one us. Meets and fishes are top grade, tender, and safe. I would prefer they invest in some free range animal products and locally grown veggies. I'm sure growing their own food on the campus would expand the learning opportunity for both MCC students."

Review 19 for Sage Student Bistro - Institute for the Culinary Arts
"Sage Bistro is a hidden gem. The service is equal to or better than any upscale restaurant. The food was delicious and the presentation a feast for the eyes. Dessert was incredible, a perfect ending to a fabulous meal. We had not dined at the Bistro before and found it to be a wonderful surprise. The service brought back memories of the elegant hotel dining rooms from decades past but the food was as novel as tomorrow. We'll be back."

Review 24 for Sage Student Bistro - Institute for the Culinary Arts
"I was very impressed! The dining area was pleasantly dim and cozy and I loved the fireplace. The scene outside was beautiful as it was snowing and just added to the lovely ambiance of the restaurant. All the staff was very pleasant and polite and attentitive all evening. Greetings at the door was very professional, pleasant and polite. The server was also very professional, pleasant and polite and very knowledgable of the menue. The meal we chose was the Prix Fixe and it was excellant! Very delicious! The plate presentation was very professional and the food looked and tasted great! Compliments to the student Chef, Michael Philbin, and all that participated in this fine dining experience."

Review 26 for Sage Student Bistro - Institute for the Culinary Arts
"It was a 5 star experience. The ambiance is welcoming but very but very high class. They have done a great job of making the restaurant quiet with special tiles in the ceiling. The service we received was very good. We had the Fixe Prix meal that night and I believe it was as good as any meal I have had in Omaha in the last 20 years. The price is ridiculously low for the quality of the whole experience. Great job Sage."

Review 28 for Sage Student Bistro - Institute for the Culinary Arts
"When I saw an ad on the Bistro's website about a brunch before Valentine's Day, I put in a reservation. When I got there, it was NOTHING like I expected. It was some sort of get together for farmers and chefs and locavores. If there had been any indication that it was a meeting for a specific group of people, I never would have gone. We waited in line for 35 minutes to pay and then went upstairs and stood around for another 10-15 minutes until we were allowed to go into the dining room. By the time I actually sat down, I was exhausted! Then I had to stand in line again for my food. The eggs were runny, the pasta and sauce were cold, as was the panini. From now on I will stick to dinner in the dining room. I know that's good."

"I very much enjoyed my dining experience. Our waiter whos name was Daivd was very nice, altho he was not always able to be heard when speaking. He seemed very nervous until he took us on a tour of facility then he seemed to relax alittle. The food was very good, the duck empanada lacked alil seasoning but over all very very good. I am very much looking to return to try some of the other things offered on the menu. We all ordered the prixe fix menu."

Review 37 for Sage Student Bistro - Institute for the Culinary Arts
"There were 8 of us dining on Thursday evening. We all ordered the Prix dinner and loved it. The only item we were a little disappointed with was the Bee Cake. On the display it had lots of cream but when it arrived it was really skimpy so the cake was dry. When we mentioned it a nice lady went and got us some extra.
I believe our servers name was Brice and he was charming. We got lots of attention from everyone and enjoyed the evening very much.
Looking forward to coming back ! Blessings, Pat "Fun People Club""
