"As a wine lover, I pay close attention to a restaurant's wine list and if they allow guests to bring their own wine. While the restaurant offers a good selection of BC wines, my preference for the meal was a German Riesling and their BYOB policy allows me to bring my preferred bottle of drink to compliment the meal. Their corkage is a reasonable $25, and no corkage if the wine is 1995 or older. They will also waive the corkage on certain days of a month. Check their website for more details.
We were greeted promptly at the door. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh, but it's not top notch. Overall ambience was very relaxing and enjoyable."

"We thoroughly enjoyed this memorable culinary experience! Had the 6 course menu for $65 each. Loved the element of surprise as as the glass of bubbly since it was our anniversary. Lovely decor, attentive service, and some stand out dishes such as the duck breast, Valencia orange sauce with spot prawns, tender lobster and foie gras to name a few. Would definitely come back."

"Chef Fowke is outstanding with his culinary skills. We had the chef menu du jour: 2 seafood dish, 2 meat dish, and dessert! Everything was great! The complimentary bubbly for my birthday, the superb services we received from the waitress, the food, etc. Bar none the best in Kits!"

"The food is AMAZING here and we were very impressed with the quality of ingredients. It's clear that the owner / chef puts his heart into the daily tasks of keeping the integrity of this restaurant. Our server was very knowledgable and attentive. We moved to Vancouver from New York City and we can honestly say this is the first place we've felt "at home". It's a privately owned, not a "restaurant group" or part of a chain of restaurants. It's the type of place, we WANT to survive and support and a type of place Vancouver needs more of!"

"It seemed to be a difficult night with a very long delay for meals, not just for our group, but for most of the tables. Having said that, dinner, when it came, was quite tasty, but served only warm as distinct from hot. The highlight, however, was the charming, efficient service. Worth another try."

"Professional staff and understated, classic décor. Music got steadily louder during our dinner, until it was up to a dull roar and conversation became possible only with a raised voice.
None of the entrees interested me, so I paired two of the small plates for a perfectly-portioned, delicious meal of steamed mussels in a lime chili sauce and asparagus literally drowning in butter, caviar, and topped with sprouted watercress. Scrumptious."

"Food was fantastic. 6 course tasting menu is a must try! Our Server was wonderful. Only downside I noticed was the flow of the servers in the restaurant; they seemed a bit rushed or stressed out. We weren't greeted on our way out either. But overall our experience was memorable and the food is definitely worth another visit."

"I brought my husband here for his birthday and his review is "best dinner I've had in Vancouver" (except for my cooking, of course!). The service was fantastic, and the food was innovative and flavourful. We had the culinary adventure, most of which was lovely. I personally didn't enjoy the lamb cheeks we had, but I also don't eat meat normally. They were quite fatty, and though my husband told me that was the best part, he didn't really enjoy his either. But, when you're on an adventure, there are highs and lows and it's all part of the trip. Excellent cauliflower soup, interesting scallop paired with serrano, a King Crab that made me work a little, and a perfectly cooked oyster rounded out the meal. We'll be back for sure!"

"Highly recommend this owner-managed neighborhood restaurant. Cozy, romantic, quiet enough to have conversation without shouting and still has a great vibe, food is AMAZING, truly delicious and well-priced for the quality (not super cheap but definitely value priced). Small menu changes daily, local & organic whenever possible, yummy wine list. If you'd rather avoid the big box chain restaurants with formulaic food, servers, tv's and NOISE.... some place to enjoy really great food and visit with your dinner companion(s) = then this is the place for you."

"I visited the Kitsilano Daily Kitchen with a couple friends for the first time and was really impressed. Most impressive to me was our server, who was very knowledgable and really talked a lot about the menu and different aspects of the restaurant.
I also was very impressed with the food, although not with my food. My friends and I all shared bites and their choices were delicious and I was left feeling a little jealous.
The Haida Gwaii Crab soup my friend ordered was outstanding and at $10.00 I thought a terrific value. Friend #2 ordered the Briskett and without a doubt that was all of our favourite taste of the night. I ordered the asparagus and felt that while it was good, it wasn't great, especially at $12.00"

"KDK takes "local/seasonal" to a new level. They update menu daily with ~4 choices for appy and 4 choices for entree. Wines are BC as well. We had no problem finding something we liked, but we're not particularly picky. Food was well-prepared, beautifully presented, and delicious. Service was prompt and attentive."

"We went for my husband's birthday and had an AMAZING meal! We asked if the chef could accomodate our request (no tuna for him and no beef for me) and the answer was yes so we did the blind tasting menu. Every course was delicious (except dessert which was actually really dry and not good at all). I would highly reccomend this for a special occasion, a nice dinner out, and especialy to show off to anyone who's visiting town and wants a taste of 'West Coast' food. Another great thing was that almost everything, including the wine, is local from BC."

"I arranged a group dinner here for my boyfriends bday. I found this place on yelp -- somewhere with good reviews and takes ressies for group of 10. I was very impressed overall-- amazing service and food. The food was so fresh!!! The menu changes daily and the chef goes out each day and buys local ingredients. This really comes out in the food... its hard to explain, but once you taste it you will know what I mean!My favorites were the prawns with risotto, the scallops, and the porterhouse steak. All amazing!!! I wish we could have done the 6 course chefs menu but unfortunately the whole table has to have it and not everyone in the group wanted it. I tried my friends gnocci, that was delicious too!!! Another plus- you can BYOW for $"

"First time at this restaurant on friend's recommendation.Glad we took the advice.Simply outstanding. Great food, wine pairings and service.Locally produced food with menu that changes daily. On this night our table enjoyed the squid salad, mushroom risotto, and steamed clams and mussels for starters. Mains included osso buco ,meat so tender it fell of the bone in delicious sauce and purée.Also enjoyed a tender pork chop that was almost two inches thick.Very tender and juicy.Perfectly cooked. Loved the intimate space with nicely spaced table. Attentive staff. Thanks to the chef and Emily for a lovely evening."

"Food/ingredients was fresh as it should be since that is the theme of the restaurant. Two of my friends had heard good things about this place so we tried it and unfortunately we thought the overall food expreience was disappointing as the dishes were lacking flavours and not executed too well and thus we also thought the menu was overpriced. We enjoyed the complimentary potato bread with blue cheese, the mushroom salad and we appreciate the thought put into the menu. Perhaps we will come back to try another night someday."

"Our group had the 6 course pre-set menu. Everything we ate tasted amazing. It was so fresh! and delicious! The portions were perfectly sized so you get just the right amount to appreciate the flavours but not too much so that by the end of the meal you feel uncomfortable. A wonderful, wonderful night was had by our party of four."

"My fiancee and I went to Kits Daily Kitchen for a nice dinner last week, and it was great! Our waiter was excellent, and knew the items on the menu to the finest detail, which is impressive since the menu changes daily at this restaurant! There was also an excellent selection of wines and specialty cocktail drinks which are made of the finest ingredients. The food was also excellent, and made with locally sourced ingredients, which is a nice touch. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! We will definitely be coming back."

"For $80 per person for the six-course tasting menu and all the good reviews on Yelp we were expecting to be wowed. Our server kept telling us how we would be wowed by every single dish. While the food was very good overall, the dishes ranged from good but pretty standard (e.g. arctic char) to wow (e.g. complimentary potato bread, cauliflower soup). It's more pricey than I'd like, although I do like the concept that the chef is sourcing ingredients from BC as much as possible. I wouldn't return as it's too tough on the pocketbook."

"Excellent! Kits Daily Kitchen knows how to cook mushrooms. Thankfully, there are some mushrooms in season now. "Expected more, bread is good, and desert chocolate cake was a generous portion, which is why we were not too hungry when we finished the tasting menu, but the courses are very small, I would have preferred one of the two entrées be at least double in size.
As is +100$ (corkage, tax, tip)gets you filled up on bread and cake, with 5 bite size appetizers in between.
Food good, but not great."

"I usually never dine at restaurants during Dine Out Vancouver; however, I made an exception for Kitsilano Daily Kitchen. I loved how they features 'the best of the best' of their dishes. I had the Seafood Bouillabaisse; everything was cooked perfectly, that is, mussels and clams were still juicey as most of the time other restaurants tend to over cook their bouillabaisse and these little gems are the first to dry out. Also enjoyed the Beaumont Rose... beautiful. Goodness... I almost forgot about the wonderful housemade focaccia bread made with potato flour. AMAZE! Cheer Chef for the glasses of See Ya Later Late Harest Riesling."

"The ingredients were, as expected, fresh and delicious. The dishes are simple, but in the sense that they were designed with constraint and not for a lack of skill. The focaccia starter was amazing, I shouldn't have refused an offer for more!
The only thing that slightly tarnished the experience was the speed of service. It was just a little too slow (reservation for 8 pm, left at 1030). This was fine on a night such as the one we had, simply enjoying a dinner for two after a busy day, but I would hope it would not be the norm. The server was very friendly, though!
Overall, delicious ingredients made the meal. The scallop and spot prawns were stand outs among them. Hope to return soon!"

"The Dine-Out Vancouver menu offered plenty of choice and the food was well-prepared. The Cauliflower soup was amazing!
This was my second visit to the restaurant and it didn't disappoint. My only negative comment was that there three of us at a table that really only sat two. I was constantly juggling water/wine glasses around the dishes on the table. It would have been nice to have been at a slightly larger table."
