"The food was excellent as was the service. We were there to celebrate our 21st anniversary, so I would have rather sat out of the bar area in a quieter area. BUT we made reservations at the last minute, so that may have been all they had. The bar area was just almost too loud for us to talk."

"We had a wonderful experience at Ruth Chris .They asked if we were celebrating anything and we said an anniversary ,so they put rose petals on our table and several of the staff came by periodiaclly and said happy anniversry and even though our meal included a small dessert they gave us our pick of desserts for free for our anniversary.They sat us at a table in the bar and there was a man singing and playing keyborad.He was fantastic his music was our generation and that made it even more enjoyable.We plan on coming back often.Especially for their monday night lights they have going on .You get a 3 course meal for $30.Wasnt turning out to be a great anniversary but the Staff at Ruth Chris northside of indy made it out to be wonderful."

"Service was good. And before I go on I WAS NOT charged for my food but atthe same time I didn't eat all my food either. I had a petite filet medium well. And lyonnaise potatoes. Both were so salty I couldn't eat them. The Manager came to our table and offered to take the food off our bill (which he did) as well as offer me something else. But we were about to leave so I didn't ask for anything.
If someone had come by while we were eating, this story would, perhaps, be different.

"The best steak in Indy! I don't eat a lot of red meat, but when I do, it has to be outstanding. Ruth's Chris is my first choice for a petite filet in Indy. I asked them to hold the butter that they typically serve the steak with and did not miss it at all. It was cooked perfectly; each bite melted in my mouth. They also accommodated my request to sauté the spinach and mushrooms in olive oil instead of butter."

"I prefer the layout of the downtown Indianapolis Ruth's Chris over the North side because it seems to have more privacy and better ambiance. My husband and I both had the Northside Nights menu with 6oz and 8oz filets. The steak was flavorful, delicious, moist, juicy, and perfectly amazing. The salad, sides, and dessert are okay, but the steak was definitely worth the $30 by itself. I had a glass of the Red Knot Shiraz, which paired perfectly with the steak. The service was excellent."

"The only thing I would suggest....the salad wedge was the heart of the head of lettuce and I hardly ate any of it. For charging so much for a bad piece of lettuce, they should takd more care with the quality:). Also there was very little blue cheese, just tons of clumps. Other than that everything was fabulous!! "Most people know what they're getting with Ruth's Chris: A great steak, great service, and a big bill. (unless you go on Monday for their $30 special). As a steak lover I try to go as much as I can.
The last 3 times I've been they've had the Kobe beef filet. If they have it - DO NOT PASS IT UP. By far my favorite steak."

"We used to love this location of Ruth Chris steakhouse (96 th street), it was well kept, enthusiastic service and really great steaks.
Now its a bit run down....the receptionist did'nt ask for my coat until I finally asked someone to take my coat while being seated. I found shoe strings (french fries) on the floor from the previous dinner guest when I put down my purse. Waiter stepped on my bag and was rather sloppy and underwhelming. It used to be a great place and packed with people including business dinner which we had attended as well with good atmosphere of a busy steakhouse.

"table was in front of a door (literally) and there was a cold breeze. We ordered broccoli casserole and instead got steamed broccoli. They finally brought the right side when we were done with our steaks. We ordered the bone in filet rather than the regular filet (which we normally get) and I would not recommend the bone in."

"This was the perfect place for a Valentine's Day dinner. The table was ready right on time and we were promptly seated. The service is always excellent and we were never left waiting or wanting. The food was excellent; steaks cooked perfectly, sides were ample and tasty, and the creme brulé was a perfect ending to a great dinner."

"To be 100% honest the food is kinda pricey. But with that being said, it is totally worth it. We were seated almost immeately by very kind servers. We were greated by our server very quickly, and he continued to check on us frequently and politely. The food was outstanding and suggestions by our waiter were right on. This is a great place for a first date, anniversary, special occasion, proposal, or just when needed a wonderful night out with someone. What a great place."

"We chose Ruth's Chris as an "adults only" night out. We were seated in a room with approx 6 children at different neighboring tables. The food was fantastic. I started with French Onion soup. Out of this world! Probably the best steak I have ever had, I had a ribeye. Each person in our party raved about their main course. The sides were phenomenal. We had the au gratin potatoes, asparagus, and mushrooms. There was pleanty of food! Everyone left stuffed!!! Our experience was great! The service was fantastic!! The only thing that would have been better would have been to be in a room with adults only!!!!!"
