"The test of a good restaurant is how well the staff responds when the chef s not there. Casa Vico has a well trained team. Black spaghetti with sausage; veal parmigiana, mushroom risotto,tortellini all cooked to perfection Nice bottle of wine and family dinner on Sunday was relaxed, tasty and filling. Even ran into friends."

"From the minute we walked in, until we left the experience was exceptional. Marco greeted us with a warm welcome. We could not believe that we had not dined at Cafe Vicco before. "If you want to relax and have a good meal, Café Vico is for you. Our group of 5 really enjoyed taking our time to order and also between courses without feeling rushed by the staff. The bruschetta on the house was fresh and delicious. Caesar salad was not overloaded with dressing. Everyone enjoyed their meal as well."

"We were disappointed with our visit to Cafe Vico. I ordered the fetuccine with clams and the pasta was grossly overcooked, stuck together like a blob in the middle of the plate. For the prices this restaurant charges, the least we would have expected was pasta cooked fresh and al dente. There are several Italian restaurants in Fort Lauderdale in the same price range that are way superior."

The meals are pricey, but not as much as the cocktails. $24 for a martini and vodka gimlet is a little steep. Our server was attentive without being over zealous. "It's located in a strip mall, but once inside the restaurant has a warm and cozy feel. The service was outstanding. They sent us to the bar while we waited for our table. The bar tender made a great suggestion to purchase a bottle of wine that was on special versus paying by the glass and he gave us cheese and olives to nibble on. The meatball appetizer was delicious and both of our entrees - the pork dish and homemmade pasta carborana were also very good. The only reason I didn't give the food an excellent rating was because my pasta was slightly overcooked. I prefer my noodles cooked more al dente, but I would definitely go back and bring my family/friends."

"Cold night, and because it was busy and I had asked to sit outside when booking online, I was informed we had to sit outside. The two heat lamps and partial plastic covering did little to shield the wind and cold. And because the restaurant was busy, the food took forever to arrive, and when it did it was cold. Next time I would cancel if the weather was not good. It unfortunately colored the whole experience. I could not wait to leave."

"Cafe Vico has been a favorite restaurant of ours for a few years. The food is consistently delicious, there are generous portions, the presentation is always beautiful, and the menu offers MANY choices. The wait staff are attentive but not smothering and the owner always comes around to see how you are enjoying your food. On leaving I waved goodbye to the owner and thanked him; he gently grabbed my hand and kissed it, with a bow. What a perfect ending to a wonderful meal and a memorable evening!"

"Love Love Love this place. In Lauderdale for 8 days went for dinner twice. Have the Burrata if available you won't be disappointed. Wait staff is terrific and friendly. Corkage fee is high @ $25 per bottle three of us usually share two bottles of wine with dinner brought a double size bottle to save on fee -no issue. Lasagna was good but not your usual type if you're looking for noodles & cheese don't get it. It's mostly meat and sauce. Ravioli is excellent. Terrible Lemoncello."

"Cafe Vico was recommended to us by a Michagan restauranteur who raved about it, especially the lasagna. We tried it and loved it and went back two nights later before a show at the Broward Center. Absolutely fabulous. Same waiter both nights, excellent service. The owner was a delight. Would highly recommend this restaurant. Will be on our places to eat when wintering in Ft Lauderdale."

"I love Cafe Vico! Every time I dine here I am never disappointed. Marco (the owner) is such a gracious host. And the service is always excellent. This night we had Diego, who was wonderful, even with our high maintenance crew. One of the people in our group had never been to Cafe Vico before. It is now one of her favorite restaurants in Fort Lauderdale. Don't let the strip mall-like setting fool you. It is wonderfully decorated, very warm and inviting, and the food is excellent."
