For 15 years Lusardi's of Larchmont has been one of Westchester County's top restaurants for any kind of dining - be it casual to special occasion. The menu's homemade cuisine shows a Mediterranean leaning and a particular expertise with seafood, eclipsed perhaps only by the incredible pastas. This kind of dining experience can really only consistently be found in Italy...or on Palmer Avenue in Larchmont. Visit our other locations: Chat 19, Moscato Scarsdale, and Chat American Grill in Scarsdale.
"Lusardi's generally provides fine food and service. We liked very much our salad with cranberries and pistachios, the branzino, the pasta with funghi, our Primitivo wine. After my husband said we share everything, the waiter brought dishes to the table already divided on two plates. Dividing food in advance tends, however, to cool it. The eggplant rollatine appetizer and my entree pasta with funghi were both just at room temperature, rather than hot. Only the branzino with almonds was hot. Even the cooked string beans were tepid. We would have preferred less cream in the rollatine sauce, which is usually a heartier tomato sauce. The staff did not re-fill our water glasses until the end of dinner, although we had asked."

"The good food can't make up for the closeness of the tables. I got hit in the head twice while eating dinner and the woman at the next, very close table was so loud it was impossible to focus on the conversation at our own table. My son's chair was constantly bumped. We won't be going back there when there are so many other restaurant choices."

"All four of us were blown away with the excellent food for each of us, and the service was very good. The maitre d respected our table request on Open Table, so we were placed in a quiet spot for conversation. One of us was extremely handicapped (Parkinsons and advanced age), and the maitre d was very patient and helpful."

"I have been here before and it was very good. this past saturday night not so much. The Cioppino was just a bowl of hot overcooked seafood - not very good. Some of the other guests had similar issues. I chalk it up to being a busy Saturday night. The wait staff was terrific and as I said I have been there before and the food was amazing. Just a bad night on a busy saturday."

"The lovely decor and great staff made lunch an enjoyable experience. A three course lunch was offered for restaurant week. Coffee was included with desert which was nice. I would like to return for other menu items"

"We had the restaurant week menu at dinner. I was more extensive last year. The food was delicious--although I thought the portions were on the small side. I am a diabetic and I asked for a substitution for something on the dessert menu. They were nice and gave me a plate of delicious berries. Would definitely go back."

"I have been to Lusardis many times not on restaurant week and the food was amazing. My visit during this week was a different experience. The portion size was so small and the food was us ok ...not the typical experience you get there other times. We ordered a bottle of wine and when we got the bill the cost was double what we thought the wine list quoted. Come to find out the wine list quoted the price in 1/2 bottle portions. Hw were we suppose to know that when the wine list was written in Italian and none of know how to speak let alone read the language and the waiter did not mention that to us. The manager did give us $10 of the bottle of wine after we continued to argue about the problem with the wine list."

"Portions definitely on the small side for all 6 of us, except for the gnocchi which was a good size. Two of us had restaurant week menu, and the fish was a little overcooked and dry and vegetables a bit oily. I doubt we would come back."

"From start to finish, Lusardi's provided gracious, superior service and outstanding food and wine. Arugula with cheese, pistachios and cranberries, hot eggplant appretizer, orata with ratatouille, and home-made pasta with wild mushrooms were all excellent. We appreciated the commodious table in a quiet, romantic corner. The waiter was pleasant and extremely capable. We enjoyed the 2010 Barolo we had ordered, and wine service was attentive, not intrusive. Coffee was very hot, albeit a bit weak. We highly recommend Lusardi's."

"We were seating at the table for 25+ min and waited if somebody gives us a menu and a wine list. Nobody even look at us till we ask them to bring menu. The appetizer grilled Octopus was good, entrée pasta sheets with porcini (according to menu) had NO porcini , no any mushrooms, looks like chief forgot to put porcini in. This place probably is good for lunch, not for dinner.SincerelyA."

"After dining at Lusardis for over 15 years the food does not disappoint. The inventive pastas are expertly prepared and the main dishes delicious and of quality ingredients. So many wines by the glass but if you can't find one you like the wine list is wonderful. My only criticism is that the first course arrives way too soon - I hadn't finished my cocktail! Make sure you speciffy that you want a leisurely dinner or it will not be."
