"Everything we have had at Tango&Malbec has been excellent. Our favorite is on the lunch special - the chivito. This is one amazing sandwich. The menu says that Anthony Bourdain has claimed this to be the best sandwich in the world, or something to that effect. We also are big fans of the chimichurri."

"The staff at Tango and Malbec was fantastic. We were celebrating a birthday, so we were sat in the wine room. This was fantastic! We were able to close the door, so we could hear each other. The wait staff could not have been better with service! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others!"

"First time there and was a wonderful experience. 4 of us dined in the lovely, cozy wine room; The main part of the restaurant wasn't too loud either, which is often the case these days. Waiters were attentive and very nice. Everything we ordered was excellent and very beautifully served. We will go back again- nice variety of appealing menu items for beef, fish and chicken as well as veges and salads."

"The live tango was delightful, although we could only see the entertainment from the shoulders up from the reserved booth seating which was disappointing. So recommend requesting floor seating if you want to actually see the entertainment.
The steak (lomo) was very good. The empanadas were good, the accompanying sauce made the flavor better. I do not recommend the Elk Serloin. We've had Elk at multiple locations in the country and in Canada. This was a poor representation of elk. It was ordered medium rare and served medium well and extremely salty. At $48 for the plate, this is unacceptable.
However, everthing else was superb. It is worth a second try."

"I went with my family and we each had a different meal. My boyfriend's salmon was very bland. My sister's steak was medium rare when I ordered it medium for her. My other sister's chicken didn't look too appealing for $18 and two chicken breasts. My mother had a cazuela from which I only tasted the clams- and were bland. Our waiter was strange. He wouldn't respond to us in spanish when we asked him questions in spanish (yet we heard him speaking spanish with other guests), and the "ambient" noise was so loud that this waiter couldn't hear what we were saying, and didn't make an effort to come closer to hear us speak. We had to shout out our questions. He seemed to be a beginner. I will not be returning."

"While the food was good, our group thought it over-priced - the waiter seemed intent on pushing the priciest items. Service was spotty at best, particularly as the restaurant got crowded. Particularly troublesome: the waiter got one salad order wrong, and although that was replaced, we were charged for both; one of oour group specifically ordered one type of "bife de lomo", and got it, but we were charged for the more expensive type (which the woiter kept pushing); one of our group ordered sorbet, but was brought ice cream, and when we pointed that out (several times), the staff kept insisting it was sorbet (we do know the difference) - by that point, it wasn't worth arguing about - we just wanted to get out."

"I can not say enough about this restaurant! From the valet parking, entertainment, servicer, food, and the manager it was an awesome experience. Our waiter was awesome he made recommendations, he explained the specials and he checked back regularly to ensure we were ok. The manager/owner? (not sure) came by to make sure we enjoyed the food and we were comfortable. The entertainment was VERY nice, they had a couple dancing the tango! It was really nice!"

"Overall, not a bad experience but will we eat here again? Probably not for full price. Our waiter was very nice but he wasn't forthcoming with any recommendations. The sweetbreads were delicious but the entrees were hit and miss. The cuts of meat were beautiful and marbled but the kitchen did them little justice - my ribeye was undersalted and my husband's boar the complete opposite. Overall the busing service was very slow, probably due to the busyness of a Sat night. We waited 15 mins after arrival for bread and another 15 mins or so after we finished for our entrees. We had the 4 leches for dessert - very small portion but not bad. I guess we were expecting to be wowed but came away questioning if the meal was worth what we had spent."

"I had the Prima Pastora which was not very good. Based on its menu description as a variation of chicken milanesa, I expected a flat chicken breast filet with a pocket stuffed with ham and cheese. Instead, the chicken was rolled up and deep fried, apparently at too high a temperature, because the piece came out quite dark, dry, and tough. The rosa sauce tasted like tomato soup out of the can. The paille potatoes were just french fries-shame on me for not asking for a description in advance.
Live guitar was nice. Waitstaff were adequate. Decor is red, red, red. Lighting is on the dark side."

"I'm surprised by some of the negative reviews - maybe the quality changes depending on the shift! Anyways, I went with my wife using a travelzoo coupon. The food was great, good and tasty, properly seasoned (no sauce needed). I was really taken by the cool silverware, very ergonomic knife especially (it's really nicely balanced), made me want to buy it for ourselves. The appetizer we got was calamari steak, this was excellent! Very fresh, served very hot, and sooooo good.... On the service side, it was quick - they had a system where besides the waiter assigned to your table, other waiters would help out to more quickly serve that table. I was impressed by that system - very customer-centric."

"We went to T&M on a Saturday nite. We started with salads: the mango salad and spinach salad. Both were excellent, especially the mango salad, which was unique versus salads you typically see in high end restaurants. Main entrees were braised short ribs ( served medium and were a little chewy) and the tenderloin medallions, which were cooked on a skewer and served on a bed of rice (very tender and seasoned well). I thought the tenderloins were a good value, but my wife was clearly disappointed with the short ribs. We finished with a chocolate soufflé, which was served hot with a mini milk shake and chocolate truffles.....a great ending and perfect match to the Malbec suggested by our server. Overall, good experience."

"Dined on Fri 3/22 for dinner; not our first time. Had Grilled Calamari Steak for appetizer which was superb. Calamari was tender and flavorful; cooked perfectly. Took the Limay (trout) and Pan Seared Flounder (special fish of the day) as entrees. Both were cooked and flavored perfectly. Did not have room for dessert. Very impressive Malbec wine list. Will return again and would not hesitate to order the same dishes. However, would like to try a steak next time."

"Did we enjoy our food? Yes. Was it worth the price? Not really. The smoked crab fingers were delicious, as was the complimentary bread basket. My girlfriend had the ribeye from the menu, and I had the prime ribeye special. Both were fattier than expected, even for a ribeye. Mine had a very good flavor, but her's (Urugayan beef), had a very different (and not as good) flavor, which was cured by copious amounts of their habanero sauce (they did not have Tabasco that she requested). The mashed potatoes and asparagus were good, but not great. The 4 Leches dessert was too sweet to eat. Overall, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't "special", which is what you expect at their menu prices."
