El Mansour is a well known Moroccan restaurant that has been in business for the last 38 years. We offer traditional Moroccan food. It is very important to us to serve homemade high quality ingredients. We make our own bread, sauces and phillo dough on a daily basis.
El Mansour is more than a culinary experience, it is also a trip to Morocco. Decorated with the authentic Moroccan decors, everything was imported from Morocco indeed. "The service was extremely slow. We were there for 30 minutes until someone asked us if we wanted drinks. They definitely need more helping hands. I'm surprised there is no "Help Wanted" sign on the door."

"This restaurant was recommended by a SF City College student, who was born in Morocco. She said that it was a unique experience, and that was an understatement. The El Mansour is very well hidden, a block off Geary, in the Richmond District. We entered the simple door and came into a Moroccan sultans tent. Imagine coming in out of the cold fog, on quiet residential street into a scene out of Lawrence of Arabia. The decoration, music, server and belly dancing all created the illusion. The food was authentic, good and plentiful. Early on a Tuesday night, we were the only patrons, so the belly dancer performed only for us. We felt like rahonored guests or perhaps characters in Arabian Nights. It was a unique and delightful evening."

"We have been eaten here 5-6 times over the last 14 years. The service is always good. The thing. that I noticed about this time was that the prices about 25% more than the last time but the quantity of the food has gone down about 25%"

"I definitely enjoyed this restaurant! Very vibrant colors and warm feel to the room. It makes you feel like you are inside of a tent and I was about ready for a camel to walk right through the restaurant. The service was amazing with a friendly staff and live talented entertainment! I would definitely return and suggest this spot to everyone looking for a great place to dine is San Fransisco!"

"My go to Morrocan restaurant. Enough said! From the moment you walk in you are transported to another land of genies and silk and velvet cushions and magic carpets. "The ambience at El Mansour is great especially when there is a live belly dancer performer. However,the food is just ok and nothing too small. My entree was served lukewarm as though it had been sitting on the counter for a while. I would go back for the show but not the food."

"Went with another couple for Valentines Day. The food was really good and the staff was very nice. The real downer was that it was way way too bright in the dining room. What could have been a romantic and lavish ambiance with low lighting felt a little "circus-like" instead. I wouldn't be opposed to returning but wouldn't go out of my way either."

"If you haven't been to El Mansour, you miss out this GEM.
It was birthday party for my boyfriend. We were party of 4.
The server Sofyan (I think that's how it spelled) is great and friendly & down to earth, not overly friendly. The food was great, which I could taste it was prepared for long time as the meat was seasoned to the bone, whether it was the chicken or lamb. My boyfriend was not big for lamb but the chicken was really tasty. Of course all food are unique because it's Moroccan cuisine. Even the tea was different & taste great too.
The only downside, we were kinda being rush & finally had to leave after 1 dance performance. Other guests are waiting they told us & yes they were crowded in the next area. It was Saturday night."
