"Had the Paris flight by the time I got to coq au vin it was not that hot should bring things out one at a time. My wife had the chocolate mousse which was more like brownie batter. I would go again."

"I have always loved this place, and haven't eaten here for awhile. I ordered the salmon, which was always one of my favorites at this restaurant. I must admit, I was a little disappointed. It was much too salty for my taste. The bread, as usual, was outstanding. I can't control myself when it comes to the french bread here. Our waitress was so accomodating and so nice. She was an excellent waitress. We loved her. For dessert we ordered fresh fruit with chocolate sauce. It was wonderful. I will return, however, I will make sure to say, "light on the salt, please"."

"Good spot for a business lunch. Moderately priced lunch offerings.

A french bistro restaurant should spell the word for bread correctly - pain, not pan.

Mapquest shows the restaurant in the wrong location."

"Great food except the salmon was good but not great. Smelled fishy when it came out but tasted good - probably because of all the extra "stuff" that was covering it. The sweet soggy bread that came on top was not appealing."

"In my opinion, the service and food were the outstanding highlights of our experience at Chez Colette. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, provide knowledgeable insight on the menu, and most importantly, genuinely enjoy working there. You can tell when a staff enjoys their work environment, and when they don't. This made up for the less-than pristine ambiance. The interior benefitted from the darkness of night and dim lighting to obscure some of the flaws. While not distracting by any means, it didn't have the level of warmth that I would have expected from a French dining experience."

"I go for the food, that is it's best asset. The restaurant was a little noisy and we were placed in a seat off to the corner and I feel that because of that we were over looked. We were also placed with two larger groups surrounding us making our area especially loud. Aside from those few things our visit was very enjoyable. I would still recomend the restaurant for a great meal with a different taste than your average American restaurant."

"I had been at Chez Collette for dinner two nights before the lunch. The dinner was absolutely wonderful! The lunch was the worst I have ever had at Hotel Softel. Could it have been that we were having lunch at 12:45? I am not sure that I would go back for a business lunch. Very disappointing."

"Nice menu selection, ambiance, wine selection, but uneven service. We were a large group so that may be a concern. I ordered the taste of Paris which was beautifully presented all at once on a platter and delicious. The only problem I had with the selection is that I did not get what I wanted because the waitress did not inform me it was not available and just gave me the standard without getting my ok. Others in our party were extremely pleased with their food and wine. Some of the best calamari ever by the way!"

"We always celebrate our wedding anniversary by going out to a nice restaurant, usually French, since we both love French food and my husband lived in France for years. This year we are, like many others, watching our budget, so Colette's special tasting menu was a welcome surprise (only $21.95 per person). One selects an appetizer, salad, entrée, and dessert (3 or 4 selections of each course). To save (on time and service), the food comes all at once, on 4 little elegant square trays on a larger tray; I didn't mind that at all, since I like nibbling. The food was excellent and the portions were perfect.I had the Belgian endive salad with blue cheese, walnuts, and dijon vinaigrette, absolutely delicious and the steak.Oops,no more space left!"

"My wife and I had an overall great experience at Chez Colette last Saturday evening. The fish dishes we had, the wine, the service and the complementary desert for our wedding anniversary were a very positive experience.

I would go back again.

I had one problem, and I should have mentioned it to the waiter, in one of the large sea scallops of one of our entrees, there were pieces of shell That was my only dissappointment--wash those scallops thoroughly, prep cooks!"

"We were there quite early(5:30), as we had a concert to attend so it was practically deserted. Consequently, we received outstanding service. Our server, Nicole, did an excellent job of guiding us through the menu and making suggestions without being pushy.
The food was presented very artistically, and the quality matched the presentation. My wife had lamb chops and I had Atlantic salmon. Both were excellent although the chops were a bit overly salty.
In summary, if we lived closer, we'd surely revisit more frequently.
