"First visit to Colette. We all enjoyed the Food and presentation immensely. There was an incredible variety of items, and the vegetarians in our group were also very happy with the choices they had. The dining room didn't feel crazed, and we could talk in normal tones. Our only complaint was the lack of service we received from our primary waiter. We had to ask for each refill of coffee, and he did not check in very often. Towards the end of our meal, the second server in our section started to help us, what a difference. She was attentive, answered our questions about the restaurant etc. She clearly enjoyed her job. We will return for their regular brunch and I think my mom has decided it's our new go to Mother's Day Restaurant."

"Even though we had reservations, my daughter and I were seated at one of the banquet seat tables, on the "curve". Because she went in a few minutes ahead of me, and was therefore already seated when I arrived, I said nothing about finding a more private or comfortable table. My daughter is of mixed race, and I apologize but, my first thought when I arrived was if we would have been given a more comfortable spot if I had gone in first.
The service was excellent, the food delicious, the waitress charming.
Thank you."

"The Mother's Day buffet was extraordinary. Perfect portion sizes made tasting a wide variety of foods easy, and generous servings of favorites (the lamb, the shrimp, the roast beef) was fabulous. My father also enjoyed all three varieties of salmon, and the extra touch of delivered flowers at the table (through Open Table's vendor) made the event special for Mom and Grandma."

"In general, we were satisfied with the quality of the food. We found the prices to be high for the portion sizes. The wine prices were not reasonable either. While some members of the staff were quite good, the restaurant seemed to go for a team approach which was quite dysfunctional. There seemed to be little to no communication between team members. We should have had some clue when after we were seated and had perused the menu, the gentleman who had seated us stopped by our table to ask if anyone had taken our order yet. He then promptly flagged a waitress and told her to take our order. We asked her a question about the origin of a particular item on the menu - she said she'd check, and never got back to us. Service needs help."

"We had to make a quick decision on dinner, our Mother was staying at a hotel near 100 and 494, and Collete popped up. We couldn't have more surprised, I don't know how we haven't heard of this sooner. The service and food was exceptional."

"We have been having Sunday Breakfast after church at Chez Colette for over a year now and have really enjoyed it. They recently changed the menu and and the dining experience has take a decided turn for the worse. In the past you got a glass of fresh juice and coffee or tea included with your meal. That is now gone as are the wonderful hash browns that accompanied the meal. These have been replaced with "breakfast potatoes", another version of "tater tots" and are a far cry from the quality of the hash browns. Basically the quality has declined while the prices remain roughly the same. We'll find someplace else to dine. Bad show Sofitel! I'm sure others will follow us."

"I have to say, for one of the top restaurants in Richfield / Minnesota specifically, I was really disappointed in the service/ the lack of it.. We ordered breakfast and the waiter brought the pastries and coffee but after an hour told us the kitchen was closed and we were not going to get the rest of our breakfast... Management did the song and dance and tried to make up for the poor service /lack of it.... Sorry to say...this restaurant is overrated and definitely not a 5-star restaurant but a 2 star at best restaurant. I'm not sure why so many people love this place. The staff are surly and uninformed, the food is mediocre...and looking at the menu (wish we had got what we ordered, expensive. Don't spend your money here, especially"

"Easter Brunch was great for the 2 of us. The food was fresh and had a vary large selection, excellent. The dessert was plentiful. The chef tables were great! I did wish there were more selection of sushi. Restaurant did a great job of not overbooking, NO lines for food! Service was somewhat lacking- had to stack plates at table and water glasses went unfilled."

"This was like a fine French restaurant from bygone days. If you want fine dining they're few true spots in the Twin City area that fit, this is one of them. Excellent cuisine."

"All three of us were disappointed with our food, ordered a NY strip steak with pommes frites- the steak was not a strip probably a sirloin and very tough. Salmon dry and fishy tasting. The profiteroles were not those of the past but three dry little balls filled with ice cream standing on a flat plat - no way to eat them and keep them on the plate. We selected a very nice wine and the pommes frites were great, other wise a waste of $200.00."

"All four of us enjoyed our meals thoroughly. We've been to Colette many times and have never had a bad experience. Consistently great food! Chef Mark knows what he's doing. The food is delicious, and the presentation is amazing! My husband did not like the lamb shank, but he never said anything about it until after we left the restaurant. He told me it was chewy and not soft at all. If he had complained to the kitchen, I'm sure they would have made it right."

"This is the second time in the last month we have met people for a Sunday Brunch. The food is excellent with great choices. The tables are quite close together and at both times the restaurant was crowded - I guess if I owned the restaurant that is what I would want but there is not a cloak room and when you add winter coats to the small spaces available it gives one a crowded feeling. We will return as our overall experience was very satisfactory both times."

"We love Colette. Great staff, super-attentive, service is quite European (as you'd expect) and the food is wonderful. Very French, actually quite authentic. It's a great place to settle in for dinner and take your time. My husband and I have had some wonderful conversations that migrated to the bar and into the night. Love it."

"We enjoyed great food and wine and excellent service. Loved the sea bass and coq au vin entrees with great presentations with warm plates. Excellent French bread and other types of bread. Good choice of wines--I loved "Black Dress" suggested by server.
Wish we could have purchased flowers on leaving and French music --CD's. (Carry the mood home!)
Enjoyed visiting the gift store too."

"We enjoyed one of the the Restaurant Week featured lunch menus that included a small salad & 5-bite dessert as well as choice of small 3-inch-round quiche lorraine or a roast beef half-sandwich. Each meal was a nice light-lunch for one, delicious flavors and textures. Service was excellent - menu items described at our request, water glasses filled frequently, and attention to our comment that we'd need to leave within an hour. The restaurant and adjoining bar area and spacious lobby area all had soothing darker colors, good lighting, and comfortable seating. We'll definitely be back to try the regular lunch menu."

"Outstanding experience from the moment we sat down. Prior to sitting down, the host did not see my internet request, when making the reservation, for a quiet corner table for whatever reason. When we asked for same, after being sitted near the noising bar, we were given a very nice quiet table away from the noise."

"My wife and I came here on Valentine's day and I was excited as I had been to this restaurant years before and really enjoyed the variety of French food. The Valentine's day menu had three meal options on it which I didn't care for, and they messed up my wife's order which kept us at the restaurant much later than we wanted. I felt the dinner was greatly overpriced for the quality of the food and the service we received."

"I did not find the dining experience that favorable. The dining area was too bright and not very romantic. Moreover, we had to listen to some loud/obnoxius woman spout off for most of our dinner. The main entree was good. Will not be back."

"The atmosphere and service were quite good. My friend reported that her eggs Benedict with crab were excellent. My Chicken Mango salad lacked a bit. The mango was not ripe enough. The dressing and greens were fine, but not spectacular. Perhaps I should have chosen one of their known specialties, such as the French Onion Soup, but I need to eat gluten free. The price was reasonable for lunch. I would still go back and give them another try."
