"Excellent experience! I had the sea Bass.and my wife had the steak Diane. Both were great. The salad also was fantastic. Excellent wine list and very reasonable price for Kendal Jackson Cab. I will return."

"Great Experience and would go back when in Vegas again. Abel our waiter was great, left there feeling like he was an old friend! John the Manager checked on us during our dinner and again we chatted on our way out and just a class guy that cares about his dinners! Food was great! Don't worry that you wont enjoy this place and prices for Vegas more than fair!!!"

Review 5 for Canal Street - Orleans Hotel & Casino
"Food was good, my steak was prepared very well and how I wanted it. Service started out very well, but as the room filled up we saw our waiter less and less, and at the end of the meal he just zipped by and dropped off the bill and practically ran off. My Bernaise sauce was served cold, when I asked the waiter to heat it up he argued with me that it would separate, which it did, but it was better warm. I couldn't understand serving cold Bernaise sauce, even the gravy boat it was served in was cold. Overall a good meal."

Review 6 for Canal Street - Orleans Hotel & Casino
"My husband and I are fortunate that the Best Steak House in Vegas is located in The Orleans -- and we stay there annually. The prices are very reasonable. Every menu item we selected over the four night stay was fixed to perfection. Grilled Chicken Flatbread, Chicken Marsala, Parmesan Crusted Veal Tuscon, Classic Lamb Chops, Chicken Scaloppini Rustica, Filet Mignon, Bacon salad, Gelato Trio for desert -- oh that we had more time and bigger stomachs. A special request, the Chef fixed the Filet with a black pepper coating, served with a green peppercorn sauce -- he set a new standard to judge all future peppercorn steaks! Two times we took some of the meal "home" and the dish was every bit as good the next day."

"A hidden gem. What a great find in the center of a bustling casino! The early dining special that included 2 wine pairings was a great deal. Delicious salad appetizer entree and chocolate tidbit selection for dessert"

Review 8 for Canal Street - Orleans Hotel & Casino
"We invited friends as we read great reviews and thought this could be the place. We ordered a nice bottle of wine and various entrees. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked to medium rare and was very good. The veal Marsala was excellent according to my wife and shrimp was also very good. My friend ordered the pork porterhouse and was disappointed as it was overdone and by his standards, not edible. My wife and I were very satisfied with he meal and will be back."

"Good food. Seem to be short of help. Had long waits between courses, waiting for bill, etc. the order of scallops had some sand in one and a small piece of shell in another. Pointed it out to waiter and only response was sorry. Not the best way to handle."

Review 10 for Canal Street - Orleans Hotel & Casino
"The food is great and comparable to any high-end strip restaurant. Additionally it's quiet and I'm always able to get a booth. Last visit we were seated at a booth by the fireplace. Many meals are accompanied by their house salad at no charge. This salad would cost $18 anywhere else. It's full of goat cheese and walnuts and it's delicious. I ordered the lamb chops and they were extremely meaty and melted in your mouth. I've eaten here several times and I'm never disappointed. The servers are very knowlegeable and courteous. For desert we had a hot flourless chocolate cake filled with raspberry sauce and topped with fresh whip cream and berries, to die for. It was supposed to feed 2, it could easily feed 4. I can't wait to return!"

Review 11 for Canal Street - Orleans Hotel & Casino
"Had a Valentine Dinner here with a romantic ambience, quiet and removed from the gaming floor. Service was outstanding and table side service was excellent. WOuld suggest that you order from menu since specials are their profit centers and may not be as great as regular items. We had the seafood special with lobster risotto, scallops, crab cakes and petite crab legs. Risotto was very good and scallops but crab cakes and petite crab legs just so so. I would, however, recommend restaurant; its relatively inexpensive when compared to other strip high end restaurants and is off-the strip on Tropicana about a mile west of the I-15."

Review 12 for Canal Street - Orleans Hotel & Casino
"We arrived a bit late due to traffic and be advised that they will only hold your reservation for 30 minutes and the are a bit "Frank" about that when you do arrive. The service is excellent and the food is pretty good but a bit on the pricey side. I had a New York Steak and my wife had Prime Rib, we both added a Lobster Tail. My wife's Prime Rib was not fully to her expectation which was a bit of a surprise because it has always been good in the past. My New York Steak was flavorful and unpredictable as New York Steaks can be. All in all not bad but starting out late can get your outing off to a bad start here."

"Was going to see a concert at the hotel showroon and thought I would try one of the restaurants there. We went to Canal Street Restaurant and didn't know what to expect. The food was very good. I have the tuscan veal which was very good. Crab cakes were very good also with the roasted corn. Very nice atmosphere."
