"Excellent food for the value. I had the prime rib which was excellent and I like the idea that a sweet potato is an atlernate choice to a baked or mashed potato. Our waiter Sean and the assistant waiter were very attentive and brought me another glass of wine before happy hour was over. The garlic salsa that was served with our bread was the best I ever had. Excellent place to dine."

"We had a party of 14. The serving staff was very attentive. The organge roughy was mediocre; the salmon was prepared to perfection. One order of prime rib wasn't prepared as requested. Having been to the restaurant many times because of the prime rib, this was disappointing to our guest.

"Food was excellent and Service was great! Seated right away. Onion soup was very good, not too salty with great flavor! Wine list was fine. Lettuce wrap appetizer was very good, but peanut sauce accompanying it was a little too sweet for our taste but others may like the sweetness of the sauce. Both of our steaks were prepared excellent; tender, moist and well seasoned, and were served just as ordered! Loved the asparagus side as well! Prices were excellent in comparison to other similar fare restaurants. Enjoyed our dinning at the Cortez Room!"

"I love the relaxed feel of this place - dark, small and cozy – like a comfortable living room. I ordered the filet and it was excellent. Did not have to long for seating, service or food. Keep up the good work.

"My husband and I went for Valentine's Day. It was quiet considering the casino floor was right out the door. The lighting was dim and perfect for a quiet romantic evening. I never had to ask for water, I would take a sip and it would be filled up again. Our food came out promptly. We liked the bread and the different butters that came out with it. Our salads were good. I had the prime rib and my husband had the filet. They were both delicious. We wish we would have saved room for dessert. We had a great experience and would return to the Cortez room. My only wish is that I didnt have to walk through the casino to get to the restaurant."

It's a shame but this was nothing more than a glorified coffee shop.
The food was ordinary, the atmosphere was non-existent.
