"They really made our Anniversary special. On our desert plate they wrote in Chocolate: "Happy Anniversary" The atomsphere was wonderful and the service was great. The food was very delicious. We want to take our friends and family to enjoy it as much as we did!!!"

"The timing of the food was not good.Bread did not come out til I had to ask twice. My husband was still eating his salad when his entree arrived. We really dislike that.
Our server was absent after the food came. Most all in our party were please with the food. The potato salad wasn't good. The sauce on calamari was very light and lacked flavor.
My flounder was very good. The lamb was very good. The prime rib average. The pork tenderloin was very good.
No special recognition that it was my daughter's Birthday, as I stated in the reservation.
Since it was Sunday night, it was quiet and you could talk. But our table was by the kitchen door and the place was not even half full. Not the best choice of putting our party."

"I've not had a better steak and this was my second visit. Both times it was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth perfect. The first time several of the sides we ordered we were not greatly impressed with but the second time the sides we ordered redeemed themselves. The staff was friendly an overly accomodating and acknowledged my dates birthday as I had requested when making the reservations."

"The atmosphere at Jasper's is very nice. We went for lunch. They have a nice selection of salads and sandwiches as well as a business man's (person's) special which is usually a lunch portion of a nice fish or other protein entree. They have great appetizers as well and a special appetizer menu for happy hour. All in all it is a great spot for lunch, cocktails, or dinner (I love their prime rib). If you haven't been to Jasper's it is well worth a visit. If you go for dinner it is always better to make a reservation."

"All I can say was "Class". This was the best resturant and service I had received in a very long time. It was my husband's birthday and from the moment we walked in it was so elite. The waiter's service was so sincere and he was very knowlegeable of everything and was so attentive, and the food was so fresh. My husband doesn't eat asparagus but he ate those. We enjoyed the nite there. We definitely will come back. I love great food and service. Thanks Jaspers for making our night a lovely one!"

"Arrived for our reservation and were told it would be a 20 minute wait. After 25 minutes, the manager came up to us to apologize for the wait and offered us complimentary cocktails for our party of 4. He turned our evening from negative to positive with the recognition of the delay and apology--and topped it off with the cocktails. The food was really good and we enjoyed our evening."

"This was our first trip to Jaspers and we had read mixed reviews. The waiter was terrific and we went with his recommendations, pork loin and ribs. Both dishes were very good. The creamy baked potato salad side that comes with the ribs was wonderful. There was also a blue cheese chip appetizer that was very good. The deserts were okay, not great. We tried the trio mini trio with chocolate cake-this was hard and too, too chocolatey, cream brulee - okay and I really don't recall the last thing. I would pass on desert next time. The service was very good. The waiter was there in a timely fashion for anything you needed but gave you time to enjoy everything, not rushed at all."

"As usual, both food and service were terrific. The seafood special on that evening was outstanding. However, because the restaurant does not have double doors,(and there were near freezing temps. outside),every time the door opened, a strong blast of frigid air whipped in. Although we were not sitting particularly close to the door, my wife was wishing she had brought a shawl with her.
Over all though, still a great dining experience. We'll be back."

"The prime rib was absolutely horrible. Needed an axe to cut the meat. The restaurant was uncomfortable and you might have been warmer outside in the 30 degree weather. For $75.00 per person you would have thought the service would have been better. They will never have to worry about my patronage from this point forward.

"We arrived early for my husband's birthday dinner simultaneously with a large group with strollers and very vocal children. We asked to be seated in a quiet area and were taken to a booth by the window -- it was perfect. There were mostly couples seated in the area. Why is it that restaurants don't always have a place for couples, quiet, so we can talk, and a place for families, we they don't have to worry about disturbing other diners? The food was as good as usual -- and the wine prices seem to be more reasonable than our last visit."

"This was our first trip to Jasper's but won't be our last. We met friends there and the hostess was great. She took our coats so we wouldn't have them in the way at our table. We had a great waiter that explained the specials and helped us navigate the wonderful menu. Our biggest obstacle was narrowing dinner down to one choice. We all got something different and it was all wonderful. Ribs were great, baked potato salad was great as well. Wonderful experience."

"I met friends that I had not seen in a long time. Our server was very patient as we visited a while before ordering, and as we lingered long after our meal. We were there about 2 1/2 hours. I left "Jenny Craig" behind that day, and ordered the decadent white and dark chocolate cake! It was one of those desserts that was definitely worth the calories!"

"We are frequent diners of Jaspers in the Woodlands. We went for our daughter's 15th birthday on a Tuesday night. The food was great as usual, but the service was spotty and it is usually very good. We had ribs, flat iron steak, salmon, and red pepper ahi tuna salad. Everything was delicious and cooked exactly to order. The big surprise was the baked potato salad. It was hot and tasted like a loaded baked potato, soo good. The atmosphere was lively. We have used the patio many times and it is quieter. Great spot for lunch or dinner. "Excellent food - the spare ribs are great, the appetizer of potato chips with Maytag blue cheese was large but addicting and we finished it off. Good creme brulee. Noise level was quiet to moderate, but I could hear some music in the background and asked the waiter where it was coming from. He said it was coming from part of the retaurant that was upstairs and that there should also be music on the main floor but that it wasn't working right at the time. So I don't know what the sound level would be if the music were on on the main level."

"Overall, the experience was good. It was nice that they greeted us with a Happy Anniversary upon our welcome to the facility. I would encourage them to be better at follow through. In the beginning, we asked to see a wine list. They cordially responded that they would bring us two different wines that they would let us try. Unfortunately, they never came back with them. When the meal was brought out, both the polenta and the asparagus for my salmon dinner was over cooked. They did bring me out new asparagus that was delightful.

At the end of the meal, none of their desserts really tempted our tastebuds, so we passed, however I did ask for coffee, which the waiter forgot to bring out.

It was also cold in the facility."

"Everything was great- the only complaint- it was very cold outside and the table they wanted us to sit at was a round table by the door. We told them it was too cold to sit at the open round table due to the door being open constantly. The girl did not want to let us sit anywhere else even though we had reservations. We saw a large round table/booth that had a high back - it was still by the door but with the high back it wasn't as bad. Everything else was great. I just think when you come in and have reservations well in advance and spend over $400 for the tab you should be given a better table."

"High prices and poor food. A $30+ ribeye that 1/4 was not able to even cut with the steak knife. My wife's filet was tiny and looked lost on a big plate that was otherwise empty. Both of us ordered potatoes that were approximately 3 inches long yet cost $6. Wine prices were high. Outback is twice as good at half the price! Stay away from Jaspers. The worst price / value I have seen in many years."

"We had the flounder, steak, and rainbow trout. I would rate the flounder #1, trout #2, and steak #3. Flounder was fantastic. Calamari was very good too. Steak was a bit dry but tasty. Sides...asparagus...undercooked, corn was good, Mac and Cheese was unexciting.
Ask for Nick as he is the best server there. Coffee was initially served almost cold. Sent it back and it new coffee was very weak. We have been to Jasper's almost 10 times and I believe that the seafood is better than the meats."

"This is my third visit to Jaspers in 2 months and overall the ambiance of the restaurant is nice, however upon checking in the hostess and letting her know we had reservations, we were 15 minutes early, she told me she didn't have a table and come back later and check with her. I guess I am not used to being told to check back later, I would have thought she would have said your table is not ready, have a seat at the bar and I will come get you when your table is ready.

As this was my 3rd time to visit, the food is good, but I don't think it is worth the prices. In a nutshell this is above average grilled food that is served in a nice setting. If I am going to pay $26 for chicken it should be better than what I can make in my backya"

"Our experience at Jaspers was mixed. It was a birthday celebration for my husband. I left explicit instructions about seating and quietness. We had to wait at least five minutes at the hostess stand becuase she was over run with guests and the other hostesses were not helping her. She did not apologize for the lack of attention or the wait.

We were seated in a random booth next to a crying infant...not exactly quiet. I know that they have upstairs seating that is out of the trafic pattern and more quiet. We were not offered this option.

The food at the restaurant is very good. However, it is not a special occasion type of place. It is too noisy and the hostesses are too young to understand instructions. I was not pleased."

"We went for Sunday Brunch to Jaspers because we wanted good food and a place we could talk. The service was five star. Excellent service. The restaurant was perfect. We could have nice conversation without raising our voices or being distracted. Wonderful restaurant. As for the food....shrimp and grits - we could not taste the flavor of the shrimp over the garlic. I like garlic but I also like shrimp. The chile relleno was not greasy, it was made with delicious crab meat but we could not taste the crab over the spices. The spices complemented the pepper, not the crab. The egg was cooked perfectly. Would love to try these at Jaspers again on a different day as it may taste differently."

"We were greeted promptly, appropriately seated and had a very good experience with the multiple servers. Also had a visit from the Sommelier who shared a few interesting tidbits about the wine we ordered. The food however was very, very average. Crab cake appetizer wasn't nearly worth the money, was cold, and I thought overly breaded, with no real crab chunks. Was hoping for much more.

Entrees weren't much better, the flat iron steak was tough, surprisingly tough. To the point where I was cutting gristle out of the meat. My mate had a better experience with her entree, but both I thought were over priced for the quality of the dish.

Dessert was a disaster. Gelato was grainy, watery, and not creamy at all. Would not recommend"

"Our office went for our Christmas party. It was such a wonderful and unique experience. The restaurant was so beautiful...we sat close to the fireplace which was the perfect spot. The food was so delicious and different than you will find anywhere else. It was a bit of a drive for us, since we came from Baytown....but it was well worth the drive. We tried the Blue cheese potato chips and the crab cakes....they were so good....especially the chips!!! As we ate, we had to sample everyones food...I think we loved everything!!! And the service was superb!!! Our waiter took such good care of us...but he was a little evil because he kept tempting us with so many delicious goodies. We are still talking about it and cannot wait to go back!!!"

"This was our first time here. Overall the experience was very positive. We shared the Porterhouse for two. It was large enough and the quality was very good. We also had the Ahi Tuna appetizer which was fantastic. The waiter recomended that we order it seared, and he was right. The sides were OK, but the mac & cheese had too many onions in it.
The service was great and the atmosphere was perfect for the restaurant. They have a patio which has a gas fire. This was very welcomed after dinner. We spent some time around that fire and it was wonderful. The only complaint was with the wine-list. They offered some great half-bottle selections. However, they didn't actually have either of the ones we wanted. We will go back."

"This was the third time I have eaten at this restaurant. The first 2 times were fabulous. However, this time was rather disappointing. It was a birthday occasion. The food was strongly seasoned. Over powering garlic and chili in the pasta and no garlic in the garlic mashed potatoes and the beef sauce was totally over baring. The wine list is extremely expensive for this type of restaurant. The waiter was rude and negative. The Shiner Bock Cheese soup was still a plus. I will have to think twice before returning again."

"We had dinner here a year ago and it was quite good but this time it was lunch and what a difference. We were seated and given no wine list. I asked for one and my wife and I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir and a nice Zinfandel. Both came out and were ice cold! I complained an our server agreed and apologized and replaced them with unchilled wine. We had 2 appetizers and were not finished with them when the main entrees came out. My wife's was fine but my Cedar Smoked Salmon Cobb Salad did not have smoked salmon but a big piece of hot grilled salmon on it. Mostly made up of large romaine lettuce leaves the top was dressed and the rest was dry and tasteless. The applewood smoked bacon was inedible, like bits of wood! Horrible experience!"
