"The ambience is great - the restaurant is in a Victorian house built in 1890 and it is elegant without being stuffy. My husband and I had a romantic dinner together, but we would also bring our kids here. The service was attentive, but not too much so, and our food was delicious! We will definitely be coming back here - can't wait!"

"This is a beautiful, old historic home with a great history. The owners will tell you about it if it is not too hectic. The wine list is extensive with many affordable choices. I had the squid ink linguine with shrimp and lobster which was delicious. My wife had the
Bronzino which she loved (I had some too - it was delicious). We shared the mussels scampi appetizer which was also very good. But the best was dessert - we couldn't decide between the zabaglione and the pecan pie with ice cream so the owner surprised us with both. Fantastic! We have eaten out many times over the last few years (as the kids have gotten older) but have just recently found Open Table. Giulio's is a must-try and we plan to return, very soon."

"Food service very slow out of kitchen. Only 1 server for all seven tables in upstairs dining room. Restaurant was severely understaffed. Beet salad appetizer was good, but food was otherwise of poor to fair quality. On the plus side, room was nicely furnished and tables were spaced far enough apart to allow for good conversation. Not worth the visit - even at Restaurant Week prices."

"Went for a girls' night out with 3 other women. It was Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, so we opted for that menu. It was limited, but good basic Italian fare. Appetizers included calamari, a flat bread pizza, and different salads, including caesar and a beet salad. We had the pizza and the two salads mentioned above. All very good. Dinner options included 2 pasta dishes, tilapia francese, a steak option and chicken scarpariello. The tilapia, chicken, and rigatoni bolognese were all delicious. Dessert was less than impressive -- a chocolate cake or bread pudding. Service was very attentive. They did not rush us and understood that we would be there for a while just chatting. They gave us plenty of space."

Had to wait approximately one hour for our appetizers (with no explanation for the long delay), than we waited approximately 30 minutes for our entrees which were cool (not warm or hot) at best. "I made a reservation, for the wrong night, and meant to be for Saturday the 26th. They were able to make it happen and service, food, wine list and overall experience was fantastic. We had a group next to us that made our night difficult to say the least. They complained about everything, too cold (which it was outside I think 2 degrees) and they made for a tough guest/neighbor. I would recommend Giulio's, they try very hard to make your meal fresh, exciting and friendly."

"Excellent service and outstanding food. Wine list was great and priced very very fair. I counted the number of wines by the bottle, over 100 and 20 by the glass. Outstanding options and owners are the best. They remember all the details to make you feel at home. Remeber your name, remeber your drinks and what you like. I had the owner order our meal, I was on a date with a new friend, so it made me feel special. And he did it perfect."

"Service was terrible! There must have been some kind of snafu in the kitchen, but the owner or manager never had the decency to come out to explain or apologize. We had to look for someone to take our drink order and then, to serve us bread. After waiting more than an hour to be served our main course, we asked for a check for our wine and appetizer so we could leave."

"We were there on a cold night and the heat was not working properly--every time the door opened we got a blast of cold air--we sat in our coats most of the evening--the fireplace room was full, and that was the only comfortable room. If we go back it will only be if the weather is warm"
