"Service was horrible. The waiter was never to be found. Other tables got bread, we did not. It was nearly an hour after we placed our orders that we were served. Food was very good. However, service was so poor that we will no be returning to the restaurant."

"we ordered appetizers and dinner, two of our party ordered caesar salads then learned salad came with dinner. Instead of the waitress suggesting we up charge to caesar, we asked if that option was available. it was but did not know what the charge would be. Although very lovely, she was not properly trained. appetizers/salad arrived in a timely manner. The waitress came to the table at about a 1/2 hour wait to tell us our dinner would be right out. At the 45 minute mark, no dinner, no waitress, my husband got up to look for a manager. Who apologized for the delay. Dinner came out a few minutes later.
They did buy dessert and drinks. But we should have never had to go looking for management."

"It's hard to find a variety of fresh fish in Rockland County , Aquaterra has many choices. We had the salmon and ahi tuna both were good, large portions and had to take home probably because we ate so much of their delicious hot bread! 2 in our party had steak and said it was done right and good . The service was attentive and overall an enjoyable experience. It was a little noisy but there was a loud table behind us. Once they left it quieted down.
I have a bad back and are always concerned about the comfort of the chairs. These were great high back and padded, very comfy.
Overall, a good experience and we will definately return."

"We had a party of 10 so they put us in a separate room. It was great. The service was wonderful and the food was amazing. We had wine with dinner and drinks at the bar before. It was perfect. We hadn't had dinner with our friends in ages, and it was the perfect venue."

"The brunch was very good and our waitress was very nice. My only complaint would be that, unlike most other brunch buffets in the area, you pay extra for mimosas, or any other drinks, and the waitress is slow to refill your glass. There were also large blocks of time where we didn't see her at all! The buffet itself was very good. It's not too big but has everything you could want! The food is fresh and delicious! Don't skip dessert...the Tiramisu cake & blueberry cheesecake are not to be missed!"

"Disappointed by seafood, but vegetarian dish was great. Margarita was not good. Service was courteous, but could have been more attentive cosidering how empty it was at that particular time. "I went for lunch with two friends during the work week of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week and we all enjoyed a special meal. The choices on the special menu were varied and nothing disappointed. I had the Pulled Lamb in Puff Pastry and Yogurt, then the Harvest Gnocci. I took the Apple Tart home. A lot of food for only $20.95. Would definitely go again for a birthday or other special occasion. Server was friendly and attentive."

"We were looking for a restaurant between No. Jersey and Westchester, NY. Found AquaTerra on Opentable and were not disappointed. A very nice place for a gathering ; food and drink were good.
The only comment I have is that I did indicate when making the reservation that we were celebrating my wife's birthday with family -- an acknowledgement would have been appropriate -- we have certainly received such when making Open Table reservations for other family events."

"Always worth a visit. Obviously the word got out since last Fall. Using Open Table was a home run as the restaurant was crowded and got more so as the evening progressed. Not only wa sthe reservation accurate but the seating request was honored, "front room and on the window". Our waitress, Jean, was a delight, attentive in spite of having a large number of tables. Kitchen is obviously well managaed as the food is run out with perfect timing. If you want to turn every head in the dining room, order the Peach Melba for dessert. You won't be disappointed."

dining area was comfortable & the wait staff was pleasant. the Lobster Tacos appetizer was the highlight of the meal, well flavored with
ample lobster & well worth the price. The house salad was tasty & fresh. I had the grilled swordfish c salsa & rice which was very bland
& somewhat mushy. My wife had the the seafood over linguini maraquiera(forgive the spelling) ,the pasta was overcooked & soft -the
predominant flavor was salt-not enough sauce to coat the pasta & flavor the seafood. I might consider revisiting @ a later date .I might add that the cocktails were excellent-"

"Sat for half an hour with nothing but bread and water until we were finally able to get a hostess' attention to let her know the waitstaff had yet to appear. When our waitress arrived there was no apology, no offer of a drink on the house, and she seemed a little annoyed to be there. Another couple sitting close to us seemed to be having the same problem. From the time our order was taken it was a full hour before our main course was served, I checked my watch. Considering there were 2 to 3 empty tables around us at any given time the staff did not appear overwhelmed. Often when a waiter/waitress sees that a table is not receiving the proper attention they will take a drink order even if its not their table, not here."

"First time dinner at this restaurant. Have eaten at this location in the past, many years ago. Menu was good; service was excellent. Decor was dark, nothing special. Fake plants and flowers need to go. They cheapen the place, giving it a diner-like feel. Food was very good and prices were reasonable. For a casual dinner, near to home, ths restaurant fits the bill."

"We fell upon this restaurant after making a wrong turn. We were very pleased by the look of the place and the friendly staff that greated us upon arriving. Everything from the drinks, to the appetizers and main meal were great. The Fiery Fried shrimp are a great appetizer. Dont be discouraged by the other comments on Open Table about noise. We didnt get that at all. We're definitely coming back."

"Very loud, noisy restuarant - beyond "energetic" - dificult to carry on a conversation. Food tasty and well-prepared but very slow coming out of the kitchen. We waited over an hour before we got served our appetizers and salads despite waitress' effort to speed it up. Pretty restuarant but tables jammed together. They need to remove a couple and space out more."
