"We went on a Saturday with 8:30 reservations. The place was packed and so loud that conversation was difficult. Shortly after we arrived, for some reason, the restaurant felt that they needed to add thumping music to the mix! We had appetizers, main courses, and dessert. All were good but none stood out as memorable. At $9.00 each, the desserts were so-so and on the small side. As mentioned, the place is obviously popular, but I felt it was overpriced and overly loud."

"We had a delightful meal, eating outside. I fear that inside could be quite noisy on a Friday night which would be my only reservation. A refreshing Hispano/Italiano menu with portions nicely sized to satisfy but not stuff you."

"This menu looked delicious. It was hard to pick which salad or entree to try. I had a Riviera salad with shrimp & salmon, it had no flavor whatsoever. There was no seasoning and no salt or pepper on the table. My friends had a fig & olive burger, fig & olive salad and a pasta dish. All of the food lacked flavor and the crostini was served on soft bread that felt mushy.
The server was pleasant and friendly but never brought us the salt we asked for. We waited 25 minutes for the check and the place was not crowded at all."

"Really interesting dishes. My family and I came here to celebrate my parents 31 years together. We choose an assortment of dishes from olives to cheese, chicken, meat and seafood. Everything was cooked perfectly. The service could have been better. The place wasn't packed when we arrived, but we had to wait at times for initial drinks and bill completion. We received free dessert on the house! We would come back again. Great atmosphere."

"Very disappointing. Ordered the special of the night - Bronzino with risotto . The risotto was absolute glop. Bronzino was nicely done but a very small piece for the price. When the waiter came to collect the plates and asked if I would like the risotto wrapped up - I told him no thanks - no one even asked what was wrong . The tuna carpachio was sliced so thin you could not lift it off the plate - it was complete mush. Awful. There was no coat check which annoyed our friends.Their food was medicore as well. Did like the ambiance of the restaurant - very pretty. But won't go back."

"First time here. Would definately go back. Great service, friendly staff. The food was unique, fresh and tasty. We had the paella and it was perfect with a very tasty rice bed under super fresh seafood. My mom had the baby lamb chops cooked to perfection and my daughter had the branzino. The dessert apple tart was amazing as was the marzipan cake."

"I've been here several times and have enjoyed it each time altho I do find it quite noisy when it gets into prime time. I'm sure something could be done to the acoustics to help. I love that they have grass fed meat on the menu. That's what keeps me coming back."

"Food was good but not outstanding, Service was good but not great. Our main waiter had zero personality. Food was delivered and cleared generally when it should have been but nothing more than that can be said. Visited for Sunday brunch and found it odd that a bread basket incurs an extra charge of $9 on the bill, especially when it contained two croissants (which were good) a rock hard, dried out piece of baguette and a slice of mulit-grain bread. Good variety of choices on the menu. Surprised our visit wasn't better as most reviews are pretty favorable."

"It seems that the menu has changed a bit. We ordered salads and we had to ask for dressing the salads did not have enough dressing. We added fish to the salads and 2 out of the 5 shrimp were inedible The waitress seemed not to pay attention and when we asked for dressing for one specific salad she gave her the dressing for another. She also screwed up the dessert. I will be returning for dinner in a few days to give this place one last chance. If it is as bad as lunch then I will not be returning"

"Appetizers were very good, but not the entrees. I had the flounder,my wife the chicken paillard. Both dishes were very disappointing. Maybe we just ordered the wrong dishes, but neither should be on the menu, frankly."

"This was our second visit to Fig and Olive and it was even better than our initial visit - perhaps because it was less crowded because of a snow storm. Once again the food was excellent and the service responsive and efficient. Givenit was Restaurant week the selections were surprisingly good."

"Went for a birthday brunch! Two of us ordered from the prix fixe menu and one from the regular. Everything was absolutely delicious! Not one complaint by any of us and their Bloody Mary's and Sangria were so fresh! Some of the dishes we ordered were the lobster bisque (for appetizer) which was amaaaazing, french omelet with goat cheese and eggs benedict. We also has the artichoke, scallion, parmesan and mushroom and fig, olive walnut, prosciutto and ricotta crostinis and they were so delicious! The brunch menu is a little on the pricey side but it is totally worth it! Can't wait to go back!"

"The food was spectacular (delicious mushrooms in truffle oil) and flounder in a fabulous wine sauce served with perfectly roasted miniature potatoes. "The food is good, however, my brother ordered the burger. It was thin, like a pre packaged patty and it was over cooked. My mothers eggs were a little rubbery, cooked too long. My salad was great and the poached eggs my sister had was cooked perfectly. The Manhattan locations are much better."

"We came to this place looking for a nice dinner and pleasant conversation and it was ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to hear each other. We asked the manager if he could reduce a little bit the volume of the music, but his answer was that they had a DJ for the night.
It is simply ridiculous to place a DJ full blast in a RESTAURANT without informing the customers in advance when the reservation is made. This is a RESTAURANT not a night club, so the good food and conversation ambiance should prevail.
We measured the noise level (and recorded a video of it) and it kept above the 87 db, with peaks on 95 db, this is already on the pain threshold and if that was a manufacturing plant everyone would HAVE to wear ear protection to comply with OSHA!..."

"9 pm is too early to crank up the music for "70's night." Our reservation was at 8:45 and right away the music was so loud that we couldn't hear each other. What a shame we were not able to linger and enjoy our food. We couldn't wait to get out of there."

"The food description was unclear. chicken salad turned out to be a salad with chicken on it. had i known that, i would not have ordered a salad for my appetizer. The salad was good, but not what I was expecting. And The food was slow to come out. The server was slow to respond and rude when he did. I don't think I will be going back to thus restaurant. This was my second time and a second disappointment."
