"I selected this spot to bring my elderly parents and family to celebrate a special occasion. My parents; who are usually not big fans of anything 'different' loved the cheese and meat board to start our meal. The pick 3- price fixed menu is a winner! Win celection was great and our server was super!"

Review 3 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"We always enjoy dining with the Niche Group. The Prixe Fix menu is tough to beat for value. On this occasion there were four of us celebrating Mothers' Day. Weather didn't cooperate so we dined indoors. Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. We all had the mussel appetizer. Entrees were the sirloin steak, filet mignon, cod, & cornish game hen. Desserts were bread pudding, creme brulee, and chocolate plate."

Review 5 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"90 minutes from order to entrée "because of a large party". If you go and there is a large function / reception anywhere in the restaurant or courtyard, leave! We were the last party to leave and we had a 7:30 reservation ...and it was not by choice!"

Review 7 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"Free valet parking was crucial to this being a successful night, as street parking is very limited in the area. The host greeted us, we told him we had reservations and he stated that it looked like we had reservations in the People's Kitchen(it did not ask to specify on Open Table), but we wanted to eat at the Citizen, he said there was an open table but we had to be out by 8:15 for another group. I thought that was a little rude...but we ended up leaving by 8pm anyways. The chef's platter was great, a little more guidance from the waiter would have been helpful. The entree's were also delicious. Would love to go back for a drink and appetizer."

Review 9 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"This was another very good experience at People's Kitchen. We think it is a great find in the Worcester area. The food is always good and the service is excellent. I would have given the food 5 stars but the Creme Brûlée was watery and cool. Otherwise our meals were excellent and we will be back!"

Review 10 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"The menu is excellent, the space is unique, the waitstaff are attentive and we really enjoy dining here any time we visit Worcester. The charcuterie is a nice option for starters. Also, their bar does a really great job on their cocktails and they have a pretty good wine list."

Review 12 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"Food quality and service were top shelf. My wife and I split the chefs cheese/meat board which was great. We both had the filet mignon which was buttery, fork tender and cooked perfectly as were the sides of whipped potato and sauted seasonal vegetables. I opted to add the foie gra to my filet which was a great addition. The chocoalate desserts pared with seasonal berries was very good as well. Wine list was extensive, reasonably priced and had a lot of different wines along with the ususal suspects almost as if the owners went out of their way to find good wines at resonable prices to offer thier customers. All in all a good find and I would suggest you check this place out."

Review 13 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"The food was outstanding best meal I have had in a long time! However I could only rate as good overall because the smell of tobacco from the cigar bar next door permeates the whole restaurant. From the minute I entered the building it was all we could smell. If the smell of smoke bothers you find another spot to dine."

Review 14 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"This was our first time at The People's Kitchen and it certainly won't be our last. We love places that offer unique dining options and felt that the menu here was terrific. We were also impressed that it changes monthly. We started with the Chef's Choice platter that offered 3 meats (they chose) and 3 cheeses (we chose). Feeling somewhat full after that, I ordered the pumpkin soup and spinach salad and my husband ordered the 21 day aged sirloin. Everything was delicious. We would have gone for dessert, but honestly couldn't have eaten another bite. The waitress was delightful and very informative - suggesting we try the ginger beer (fabulous!!). We consider this place a good find and would recommend it without reservation."

Review 17 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"We really like this restaurant group and frequent the others often. Unfortunately, our first time at the People's Kitchen was a disappointment. Some part of that was the madness going on just outside at the time of our reservation. A Sharks game was starting at the DCU. Traffic was horrific and parking a disaster. So, from the start our experience may have been jaundiced by the challenges getting into the place. Didn't get much better after that. The host seemed completely bewildered and never acknowledged that we had a reservation, barely even greeted us, and unceremoniously deposited us in a library quiet spot. Then the waitress was simply inattentive and lacking in any real charm. The food was pretty good but not enough to compensate."

Review 18 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"We went on a Saturday evening. Our table was in the middle of two walkways/paths used by customers and staff and nothing else was available. We ordered drinks that arrived in a timely manner. Then ordered dinner and wine. Our meals came out before the bread. We had to remind them about the wine and ask for steak knives. We were provided menus to order dessert, but the server never returned to take our order.
Loud.
General impression: very busy, loud, somewhat worn. Won't be going back."

Review 19 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"The food was good, but i do not think they can handle a few large groups and dinner service. Food took over 1.5 hours tobe delivered to table. Wait staff not around a lot, very nice. The larger groups they had took all their wait staff and cooking teams to service and put a delay on our meal. My kids we not to pleased and do not want to go back ever."

Review 23 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"Very disappointing!! Maybe it was because it was the day after Valentines, the steak was the worst I have gotten in any restraunt any where. At $28 you would expect better, presentation was even worse. I had the pork shank which was pretty good but the sides were average at best. My advice, if you want an average meal come to my house and I will cook you a tasteless dinner for half the price."

Review 24 for The People’s Kitchen & Citizen Wine Bar
"The goat cheese app was great and went well with wine flight #1--- BUT I should have stopped there! The aged sirloin steak was tough..HAD to use the steak knife.. and the flavor was only okay...not a good steak for $27! The Roasted Stuffed Tomatoes Vegetable couscous, truffled breadcrumbs, melted mozzarella, tarragon cream sauce- Not sure where the vegetables were and I didn't like the overall flavor of the couscous or the truffled breadcrumbs...very dry! The mozzarella was hard at the bottom of the bowl/plate, I had to cut that too! And where was the Tarragon???I would definitely not order either of these main courses again...very disappointed for the $100 we spent! Bocados is always great! This Niche restaurant doesn't come close!"

"this is my favorite bistro in Worcester. The bartenders are the best in town and they make fantastic cocktails. The menu is incredibly reasonably priced comfort food with a twist. very highly recommend."
