"This is a special hidden gem. With excellent service, food that is divine and the Chef walking the dining room and talking with the guests, it truly stood out. What we enjoyed most is that for a fine dining experience, we were shocked that the meals were reasonably priced."

"The food was fantastic as was the service. One of our party was gluten free and they brought home made tortilla chios to the table with the bread and it was a real hit, as usually, he has to forgo the bread and most restaurants don't have gluten free bread."

"Great Service and Chef Mo comes around to see how things are. My friend and I both had salads, I had the roasted beet and my friend had the quinoa pattie, though those aren't the complete names. The salads and dressings were delicious. I would go again and would recommend Chef Mo's. Parking and entrance is in the back."

"Chef Mo's is a south Asheville gem. The chef transforms simple dishes into gourmet meals. Their fish tacos are a staple for our family. I recently tried their version of chicken kiev (a cheese-stuffed chicken breast) and was blown away. The restaurant is small and elegant, but comfortable. It's a great place for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. We've also used their back room for company functions. I highly recommend Chef Mo's."

"I was looking for a place to enjoy a nice lunch with a group of co-workers, and Chef Mo's seemed like a good choice as I had been there for dinner but had never tried it for lunch. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The food was very good, and everyone loved what they ordered. Chef Mo prepared nice specials, and the regular lunch menu has good choices as well. The crab cake sandwich and orzo salad on the regular menu was super. Our server was excellent; there when we needed him but not intrusive. As with dinner, Chef Mo stopped by the table to make sure everyone was enjoying their lunch--and we sure did!"

"The service was great and the willingness to please, excellent. The restaurant had just switched over to a new menu as we dined on Valentines' night. I was drawn to the restaurant by the menu that was posted online which is now the "old" menu. When Chef Mo came by the table to say hello, I mentioned that I was hoping to try the escargot appetizer I saw on the online menu. Chef Mo immediately instructed the server to order it for us. The food was great. I believe they tend to under cook the dish, rather than over cook. My sirloin and lobster were less "firm" than I would normally like. That did not deter their taste or my enjoyment."

"My husband and I went for a date night the day before Valentines. He has the Salmon and I had the braised lamb shank with scallops on the side (as our waiter recommended since I couldn't choose between the scallops and Lamb). I was literally doing a happy dance with very bite it was so good. Since it was Wednesday they had a $10 discount on a bottle of wine. I believe their wine list was very reasonably priced, and even better with the discount! With our appetizer, two cocktails, two entrees, two desserts (don't judge, we couldn't decide!) and a bottle of wine, our check was only $100. Service was Excellent, food awesome- we can't wait to return."

"Went to Chef Moe's for Valentines Day and had a great dinner. Ordered the Lechon Asado, and it was delicious. Wife ordered the Duck breast and also enjoyed her meal. The restaurant wasn't really that romantic of a setting, but then we had no idea what to expect when I placed the reservation. The food was great and the staff was very friendly. Our waiter could have been a bit more on the ball, but the rest of the staff was very into it. Would recommend this restaurant for a normal dinner."

"We chose Chef Mo's based on the menu posted on OpenTable. His restaurant was the first one to have a menu that didn't look like all of the others. We mentioned to someone at the hotel where we were going and got a response of "oh, yeah, I think I've been there. It's kinda out of the way."
No, Chef Mo's is not in downtown Asheville. It's even a little south of the Biltmore Village area. It's located in an upscale office complex with doctor's offices, a bank, a consignment shop, etc. You have to drive around the back to find the door.
So what!? The restaurant was great. The good sized bar area was quiet the whole time we were there. The food was incredible. Decor was great. Chef Mo came and checked on us. Just go!"

The food was fantastic - mahi ceviche, surf and turf, with filet (cooked perfectly and well seasoned), one of us with fried lobster (which he loved) and the other with scallops (amazing), And great mashed potatoes. We finished with strawberry frangelica torte, which was truly wonderful.
We went to Chef Mo's for Valentine's Day and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance is very warm and intimate, perfect for date night or meeting friends. Also the place is filled with artwork by Jonas Gerard, whose work I've admired for a while. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the food and beverages and comfortably attentive. A fantastic dining experience!"
