"I went to have dinner onTuesday night, took a friend for her birthday and we order a bottle of red wine (St. Supery elu), yes the wine was decanted as I requested, but it was not offered. So after the manager decanted the wine the server not once did he took the time to pour the wine into our glasses, which I did and kept refilling them throughout the night. After dinner we left the restaurant and went to have champagne along with dessert somewhere else. Overall the food was great and my friend enjoy the view. I would recommend this place for the view."

"My boyfriend and I went to the spindle top and I was a little skeptical after reading the reviews.
I walked in and the place was amazing the view was spectacular . But it didn’t stop there
our waiter Will was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was friendly as well as very helpful in helping us decide
on what to eat. I had the salmon which was great and my Boyfriend at the Paella which he enjoyed.
The crab cakes were to die for. For me it was definitely worth it and we will definitely go again.

"I chose the Spindletop for the location and food rating. When we arrived, we were not greeted by the hostess. After sometime, we were escorted to the lounge for 5 minutes then on to dinner. My family enjoyed the drinks but felt th food was not worth the price. The chicken breast was dry and very hard and the lobster was tough."

"Overall we got what we paid for. The food was extremely good, not to die for, but certainly within the high quality we expected. The service was extremely good also. All the staff were incredibly friendly and and went the extra mile to accommodate the guests. What really sets Spindletop apart is the ambience. Great relaxed atmosphere with a good buzz (not noisy but not quiet), and fantastic views of the Houston area. We will be back."

"Incredible view of the city, food was very good, and our server, Lois was impeccable. The dress code ranges from busines casual to suit and tie range, I chose suit and tie. The restaurant rotates so getting adjusted intially only took a few minutes, makes one rotation every 45 minutes. I am definitely going back"

"Spindletop was a surprise. We went because we were staying at the hotel and it was raining. It was wonderful! The food was great. My husband had the filet of beef and found it excellent and super tasty. I had the salmon which was very good and also some huge black beans that were out of this world! We got there in time to see the sun set, which didn't because it was cloudy but the view is beautiful. We saw the city of Houston light up! Definitely worth a visit. By the way, the manager came to our table a few times to check on us, the waiter, Will was very efficient and the busboy, Manuel was constantly checking our table for water, bread, or just chatting. We could not have asked for better service."

"As, usual my dining experience was excellent. The Sip and Spin, 3 course Wine pairing dinner was very delightful. The crab cake was one of the best that I've experienced. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the dessert was divine and each wine selection was a compliment to the food. As always, I request Ms. Lois as my server extraordinaire. She's the best. The manager is always a pleasure as well, as he often stops by to chat with the guest. Can't wait to go back again."

All deserve a nice pat on the back or a award for outstanding service for a great time for my wife and I being our 15 year anniversary dinner.. now the slight negatives only two... decor seems alittle out dated and when you arrive into lobby of spindle top it a slight odor of mildew not over powering. like old wet carpet.. with that said yes i would return no questions about it. keep up the great job and atmosphere..."

"The setting was nice with the view over the city worth seeing. The staff were nice, friendly and polite. The menu is not suited for children so if you are thinking of bringing kids, stop off before hand and give them fast food. The Adult menu was adequate but limited choice. Still it was worth a visit to say we have been there and done that and I would certainly recommend if only for the experience. Food was Good but not fantastic. Cost wise this restaurant is not the most expensive and the food matched the cost good value for a great view and good service."

"We came to celebrate our anniversary and made a reservation for 7:30 PM. We arrived at 7:20 and were told we would have to wait. I asked if we could sit at one of the open tables to have a glass of wine until our table was ready, since I saw a number of open tables, but was told no we would have to wait on the couch. While frustatingly waiting approx. 10 people came in without reservations and were turned away despite a large number of empty tables that were still empty when we left at 8:45. Also as we were leaving there was a large number of people waiting by the elevator despite the number of tables available. From what I can see either you are under staffed or do not need the business. It was very disappointing."

"My husband and I went for dinner to celebrate our birthdays. We had a wonderful experience! Our food was delicious as well as our view.
Every table has a great view and its neat to have a 360 degree view of Houston. Try to plan your visit when it will be a clear evening, around sunset. They give you generous portions and had vegetarian options for me. The vegetarian option is usually a pasta with vegetables. We would recommend the flat bread for an appetizer. We had a great dinner and the service was excellent!"
Every table has a great view and its neat to have a 360 degree view of Houston. Try to plan your visit when it will be a clear evening, around sunset. "This was my first time at this restaurant. I booked a reservation the day of my anniversary. This place was amazing an my wife loved it. The staff there were very friendly and the food was to die for. Even though the menu does not have very many options theres something there for everyone. I even ordered a flower arrangement to be setup at the table before we got there and they did not fail me. I would definetly be back back again!!"

"Our food was fairly good, not great. Dessert was second rate but they brought us a replacement which was good. Service was very courteous but VERY slow. We were there for two and a half full revolutions of the dining room! Much longer meal than we had planned. View was lovely and I'd go again (this was our first time) because of the view BUT I'd expect faster, more efficient service the second time or I would not recommend."

"I love the atmosphere of this restaurant; romantic, upscale and the view is the icing on the cake. The "Sip n Spin" Three-Course Wine Pairing Dinner was nothing short of divine. I loved the seared scallop, the grilled fillet was perfect (med well) and the sorbet was the best I believe I've ever experienced. The wines that were selected for each course were fabulous - especially the dessert wine. I also recommend trying the "mango-mango" cocktail. We will definite be back soon. I've always had wonderful meals and the wait-staff is very professional, yet personable."
