"If you like a lot of food heaped on a plate family style and don't care about the quality this is the place! Unfortunately for us, we like quality so we won't be back. The mussels smelled so strong we had to send back the pasta, which we ordered without mussels!"

"Acquo is often our choice for Italian when we're in the neighborhood. Consistently delicious. This visit was a Monday night and we had a pankering for Italian so off we went. We weren't looking to overindulge so we shared the sausage and peppers appetizer, served in a cast iron skillet. It's a meal in itself and delicious. We also shared a half order of linguini with red clam sauce. The waiter split it up for us and it was not only delicious but more than enough. Add some of their crispy, crusty bread, a glass of red wine, and we were good! Definitely recommend this neighborhood gem. We've been there many times and will always return. Weekends are crowded and have more buzz and music."

"Nice place with a good menu, the waiters should be more professional. When asked how a dish is prepared the waiter should explain the dish properly and not to try to push the order along. I ordered the sea bass which was covered in sweet sugary sliced almonds. That ruined the dish."

"I have eaten at Acquo 124 for several years and have never been disappointed. I look forward to some variety of their "burnt veggies" and other specialty offerings on their menu. Almost all items come in 2 portion sizes, family and 1/2. Both are large."

"As an Italian-American, from NYC, I find the food to be authentically Italian & consistently excellent. The buffet lunch is a steal! We recently had dinner there on a Friday night when a very talented piano man played & sang. I highly recommend Aquo 124."

"I specifically asked to be seated in the small North room, and my request was ignored. That's an example of how they cater to favorites and ignore others. They get you in and out fast."

"Very disappointing. Service for a party of 9 was slow and inattenttive. We waited quite a while to place our order when the first course was delivered, The wrong salad was presented and when the correct one was finally delivered (a family size order) no extra plates were provided for serving it out. A request for extra plates took many minutes. By then we had already eaten our salad from our bread plates then we had an extreemely long wait for the main course. When it did arrive,. The Eggplant Parmagian was served barely warm and portions of the eggplant slices were undercooked. We have dined there several times before and this experience was completely different from past experiences which were generally very enjoyable"

"They favor the regulars here. On Open Table we specifically asked to be seated in the small room by the door. Our request was ignored and we were seated in the cavernous room which I don't like. That being said, we had an excellent waiter Jeff and good food. The bread & grilled sausage are delicious. The small Caesar is good and big enough for two. The meatballs are mediocre. We had a fair Tuscan red for $36; we just didn't want to pay $49 for their cheapest Chianti Riserva, a wine that retails circa $13. They need some good reds under $40. They turn their tables over; so don't expect a leisurely meal. They have you in and out in an hour. I prefer a more leisurely paced meal. But, the food and service are good; so, we keep returning."

"AS ALWAYS ANOTHER WONDERFUL DINNER. Arrive a bit earlier, since the BAR has a nightly HAPPY HOUR, wines, beer and all sorts of Martini's. I loved my snapper with mixed seafood, my husband his lamb shank. Don't over look the mussles, they are cooked under the salamander so they are roasted, served with a garlic sauce on the side. The mussles are stand alone without the sauce. WE are frequent diners at this fantastic restaurant . Enjoy a great meal at Aqua, anytime."

"Food was very good and the restaurant was beautiful. They had someone playing live music from italian classics to pop hits which was pretty cool. Our waiter seemed to have a chip on his shoulder especially when we didn't decide what we wanted right away. Other waiters seemed to be in a better mood and were smiling and joking with the other diners so maybe we just got the bad apple. We started out with salmon carpaccio and then I had steak and my girlfriend had fish, everything was delicious and presented nicely. The portions leave you enough to make a second meal. I would definitely come back."
