"Highly recommended. Our third time there was Mothers Day dinner, and was packed. In spite of a Very busy staff, they rained patient and friendly, and table service was great, food was excellent and no vibe from staff to hurry up and free the table. Risotto special was very good, as was the shellish pasta special. Wines by the glass were reasonable as well. We'll done, from top to bottom!"

"Always a pleasure for me to dine here as the staff is polite, friendly and delicious food make for the best kind of dining experience. They never rush us, aided in my birthday surprise for my teacher and were just plain nice. All bonuses given so many scatter-brained, rude and often apathetic servers. So rare to have an affordable meal with great food and service!"

"The restaurant is a bit crowded. I had a party of 12 people that was sat in the middle of the restaurant. It was very tight and crowded. The food was delicious however. All of my friends enjoyed it."

"The food was just okay. Nothing special -- my husband ordered the petrale sole (special for the day) and I got the veal piccotina and we traded bites and both our entrees tasted exactly the same. Both of them were in a lemon sauce and we both agreed the lemon was over powering. Not a place for foodies -- like I said it was just okay."

"I brought a guest to Spiazzo who had not been then, she was so pleased. She found the food terrific and the location fun for the neighborhood shopping. The food is alsways quality and the service precise and so friendly. It is easy to Muni and we have used that to take after a meal to the sympany hall for nights out. Have to have the tiramisu."

"I had their risotto off the specials menu. It had Italian sausage, meatballs, and mushrooms (and maybe some onions?). The star of the dish was by far the meatballs. It was probably some of the best meatballs I've ever had. We also ordered the vegetarian pizza substituting regular red sauce for the pesto for the kids and a pizza with prosciutto on it. Both were very good, although the leftovers of the vegetarian did not travel well. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. Our server was excellent and attentive. He mentioned that since they don't have a kids menu, they can do half-orders on the pasta dishes. Although we did not take him up on that offer,it was much appreciated."

"Ordered the clam in white sauce and a garden salad with pear walnut gorgonzola dressing as apetizers. The clam dish only had 8 clams in it ($9.95) and the salad tasted bitter with the dressing. Had the shrimp and scalop spagheti and the scalops were bitter as well with no flavor and the whole dish is submerge in butter sauce. I'll have to say the food in general is just average. Presentation looks pretty good but lacked good flavor."

"Spiazzo is our "where should we go out to tonight?" restaurant when I don't want to cook. They have reliably good food - the minestrone is different each evening and seems to be better than the last every time - and we have favorites that we gravitate towards on a regular basis. The first time we looked at the menu, we weren't going to go in, but then some friends took us there and we fell in love with the place. The pizzas are great and all of the salads (especially the salad with pears and gorgonzola) are all fresh and layered with flavors. My favorite pasta dish is the penne al salmone. For special evenings, be sure to make reservations because the restaurant is frequently busy."
