"Can be like a picture out of a book. Our evening visit was welcomed with rain, but that made the picture window view of the Potomac all the more appropo for a nice dinner and warm times. The staff ensured everything was to our liking and provided suggestion for the best offerings of the night. A wonderful venue, great food, drink and atmosphere."

"Indigo Landing has a huge panoramic deck for outdoor dining. The outdoor menu is a bit lighter fare than the indoor menu. It's lovely to sit outside and watch comings and goings at National Airport, as well as the sailing school putting students through their paces. There's a good variety of dishes offered, mostly well executed though not outstanding. We go primarily for the view."

"I love this restaurant for Sunday brunch. It has enough clientel to fill the space and yet not feel crowded. Now that we have weather we can sit outside in - it's a double dip. Right on the water so there's sailboat action, and for the aircraft geeks your about a mile and a half from the end of Washington Naitonal Airport runway.
Great omlette bar, mussels are to die for, and all the steamed shrimp you want. The best."

"Perfect venue to take out-of-town guests who want a scenic view at dinnertime. We reserved through the Open Table app on my iPhone just as we were getting tired from the 3+ miles of walking among the memorials and museums near the Mall. The hostess gave us a lovely table by the window overlooking the Potomac; and we enjoyed a leisurely glass of wine and shared appetizers, followed by a lovely dinner. The food was very tasty, and the service was excellent."

"This is a GREAT location, especially if you have out-of-town guests, and/or the weather is bright and you want to sit outside on the deck. While a bit worn on the edges, this takes nothing away from the appetizing food, engaged but not intrusive service, and breathtaking views of the District, Reagan-National Airport and the nearby marina. Our server, I believe his name was "Minoud", was knowledgeable and professional, an asset to our dining experience. He was only surpassed by the hostess "Dee Dee", who once again accommodated our OpenTable reservation request for corner window seating perfectly. She is a treasure! Kudos to all."

"Food was good; after we were seated Service was professional and attentive. The Dinner for 2 check came with 18% gratuity automatically included. I normally tip 20% but with the option taken away I went with their suggested 18%. 2 Dinner salads, one appetizer and 3 glasses of wine taxes and the 18% gratuity came to $108.04. Even with reservations for a 7PM dinner the reception staff floundered to figure out how to seat us in the main section of the restaurant - where no one else was sitting at the time. It took over ten minutes of standing around while they set up a table in main (empty) dining area."

The food seems to have declined a bit. The asparagus and the mahi-mahi weren't very good. And worst was the dessert selection: our server told us that at least half of the desserts on the menu were unavailable. I wanted the creme brulee but -- tough luck -- I wasn't going to get it."

"The view across the Potomac to the heart of DC was breathtaking after dark as the Washington Monument looked like a candle lighting the city. The chicken satay and fried calamari started things off and honestly, I could have eaten the satay as a main course it was so delicious. Portions were perfect from appetizers to dessert and the service was impeccable. The crab cakes are truly all crab and seasoned just right. The fillet of sole was moist and tender. The shrimp in the pasta dish were cooked to perfection. We shared cake and ice cream as we were celebrating a birthday...the ice cream tasted homemade, rich and creamy. No doubt about it, we will be back."

"I was surprised that the restaurant was not full. I had tried several times to make a reservation and was always told they were booked. We were there for brunch and there were 2 other large groups 8 or more and probably 8 tables of 2 people during the hours of 1-3 on that Sunday. The food was just ok and so was the service, but not worth $40pp; and the whole place just looks like it has been run over..it is definitely in need of a makeover."

"I would hsve given higher rating but the dinnertime menu did not have many choices. I ended up getting a cobb salad which was outstanding, but not many seafood dishes to choose from. Maybe because out of season in February. The ambiance during dinner @ 5:00p was great, the service was great, wasn't crowded at the time. Just wish we could have had more of a choice from the dinner menu."

"I took my teenage daughters for a night out. It was by far a spectacular evening. The view of the airplanes landing was very nice. The city view was just lovely. Food was superb!! Highly recommended."

"Food was very good. I asked for a sandwich without the bread and was presented with a little masterpiece of chicken salad encircled by avocadoes. Lovely. Quiet and pleasant lunch on a snowy winter day. Attentive staff. Highly recommend for good food, good service, and great view of Potomac and Reagan Airport (we like to watch the plance take-off and land."

"This was a great place to eat! The service was okay, the guy we had ended up having a lot of tables, so he looked overworked. Overall though, it was a nice place to relax - the wine list was awesome. The view was surperb. If anything, go there for the view. It is amazing."

"We arrived just as they opened for lunch. They saw our reservation but failed to "click" fulfilled. The next day when OpenTable asked us why we hadn't showed up, I responded that we had & Indigo did change the status. The view, as usual, is outstanding. I had black bean soup & the crab cake sandwich. The soup-good, the sandwich...okay. The crab cake was cloying, not flavorful. I actually was going to eat the cake and not the bread but the bread helped the flavor. My wife had the artichoke dip and a winter salad & thought they were both good. The service was okay. But we were sort of the forgotten couple. We didn't get bread, like everyone else and had to ask for things that should have been offered."

"My first visit here to celebrate a birthday of a friend. The view was amazing - we had brunch and it was a beautiful sunny day.
However I was disappointed with the choice of food. There was not much selection of good quality food for the prize. The shrimp was fresh but desserts were all store bought - I know a good dessert because I am a baker."

"The Pan Seared Salmon with roasted root vegetables entree was well prepared, moist, and expertly seasoned. Althought the vegetables were steamed rather than roasted as the menu advertised, the meal was enjoyable. Their version of Cobb salads was not traditional, but excellent. As entree salads, you had a choice of seafood or roasted chicken. They were out of the entree salad, "Grilled Steak Caesar" the night we dined. The restuarant was full, including a special event, which we believe impacted our servcie. We believe the serve staff was short-handed, which may explain why service was slow, but friendly, for the entire evening. Overall we had a very pleasant dining experience."

"I have been going to Indigo Landing for a couple years now and have recommended it to many of my co-workers and friends. The lunch buffet use to be served in the banquet room (spacious) with a large selection of both breakfast and lunch cuisine. There also use to be an omelet station as well as a waffle station for fresh omelets and waffles. They are no longer there. There use to be a musician strumming in the lobby area as well accenting the already great ambiance. They are no longer there either. When I asked the waitress what happened, she explained that management had cut back for the winter season and these things would be back in March. The decline in amentities didn't justify the $5 discount in price."

"It's simply not the way that it used to be. Brunch was much smaller, the food wasn't even hot in the containers unless you got it when it came out. Fairly disappointed. it's been a year since I was there and I won't go back"

"The food was fine at Indigo Landing, where I went with my parents for a special occasion meal. We sat next to the windows, where we could see out across the Potomac. Beautiful. I orders the mussels, which were very tender, but there was not enough broth with them and the blue cheese in the broth was very lumpy. We had fried oysters to start, which were plump and juicy. My dad ordered the seafood cobb salad, which was very large and had a good mix of seafood. My mom had the salmon, which was a tad overcooked. But the service was very slow and inattentive. I drained my water glass and it wasn't refilled until the meal was over. It took forever between courses and for them to bring the check. We felt ignored."
