"This was my first visit to Fultons. Unfortunately it will be my last visit. My server left us sitting for 10 minutes before greeting us. He then took our drink order. We waited another ten minutes for one glass of wine and an Arnold Palmer. The restaurant was not busy at all. He delivered our drinks and was quick to run off without giving us the opportunity to order our appetizers and entree. We had to flag him down once he dropped off the drinks. I ordered the cashew crushed tilapia and my plate was covered in oil. I assume the oil was not hot enough when it was pan fried, because it had Absorbed too much oil. I asked for a refill, on my Arnold Palmer, I didn't receive the refill until after we had paid the bill."

"The Mothers Day Brunch featured a lovely setting with quiet music, attentive waiters, roses for moms, and a selection of health foods. I especially liked the crab cakes. Plus the white sangria."

"The oysters were not very fresh, and one tasted bad--the waiter replaced it with two other that were better. My friend's pasta with lobster was overwhelmed by the flavorings."

"For the price, the Mother's Day brunch was very disappointing. While the food was good, I thought the buffet was small and had a very limited amount of selection. And as advertised as a brunch, there was not much in terms of actual breakfast items. Especially as many kids were in attendance, there also weren't many options that I would deem as kid friendly (e.g., there wasn't even any fruit). For a mother's day experience, I would highly recommend going somewhere else - and paying less for more."

"It was a great night Justin was an excellent waiter......food to die for! But it felt tight and confined....and I did not like the view of everyone walking into a wedding reception.....I would still go back, but I felt like I was bumping into servers and steak platters more than I'd prefer."

"I've been to Fulton's a number of times and this most recent experience was consistent with past visits. Overall the food is good, service is good and the wine selection is good. The menu is not really very extensive and my one suggestion is for Fulton's to consider offering more menu options. How about a wider selection of entrée salads? Overall though I would recommend."

"This was my second time dining at Fulton's. The first time I had the Tilapa and this time I tried the Fish & Chips. Both times the fish tasted very fishy. One of the other diners had the turkey burger and thought it was bland. However, the desserts were very good especially the banana creme pie."

"I went there with some girlfriends for a nice leisurely lunch where we could actually hear each other talk. The fish tacos were fantastic as was the salad with salmon. It would be a great place to eat either before or after the Chicago Architectural Boat Tour!"

"We visit Chicago yearly and are always trying out new restaurants when we go there. We wanted to try one of their steakhouses and Fulton's did not disappoint! All the food we had was excellent and the steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly. Might be a little pricey for some, and important to note that if you want to dine out on their patio (right on the river with a gorgeous view of the city) you will have to book your reservation directly through Fulton's, not on OpenTable. But Fulton's is always high up on the list as one of the best steaks in Chicago and I highly recommend dining there to find out why! We give it a very high recommendation!"

"Great view from the patio! It was the first warm night in Chicago and grabbing a drink on the patio didn't disappoint. However, Even though we were just there for drinks, they made us purchase a food item to sit on the patio! WHAT?!? I've never heard of such a thing. Other than that this is a great spot."

"Had it been a little warmer we would have been on their outdoor patio but just sitting by the windows still gave us an excellent view of the river. The restaurant was not crowded and while the waiter was very nice, service was a little slow. I had the cornish hen which lived up to its beautiful presentation. My nephew had the halibut and thought it one of the best he has had. The banana cream pie is a must for dessert. A good choice if you're looking for a nice, leisurely, relaxing dining experience."

"My mother and I were visiting from Michigan and took my youngest son to dinner. We had a delightful dining experience from the start. Our waiter, Jack, was very attentive, very knowledgable about the menu and had a nice sense if humor. We started with the deviled eggs and Mac and cheese appetizer delicious. We ordered the salmon, lamb porterhouse, and bone-in 22oz ribeye, creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms, and asparagus each dish was prepared tp perfection! My Mom ordered the bread pudding for desert and my son ordered the carrot cake, unfortunately Fulton's did not have the bread pudding, so they graciously substituted a chocolate desert at no cost, very nice touch! Both deserts were over the top and we had a wonderful evening."

"Very interesting - this is the second time I went to Fulton's in the past month. Last time everything was spot on expectional. this time everything was slightly off. I ordered two of the same menu items and both had changed from the month before (not for the better). Last time I was there I wondered why it was so slow in attendance. Now I understand. I am disappointed."

"We went for Easter brunch because it was one of a few that offered a buffet. AT 50.00 a pop I would have assumed there would have been more of a selection. We were disappointed by how little there was offered. I had also called and asked if the bloody mary bar (which is the waiter pouring vodka in your glass and you fixing it yourself) was included in the cost, they said it was. One of the reasons we chose this place. Our bill came, and guess what, it wasn't. So that was another 50.00 tacked onto our bill along with an 18% gratuity for a buffet? Really...I would not go back here. The food that was offered was good but so disappointing for the money"

"My wife loved the quiet atmosphere but it was early, 5:30 PM. I prefer more places with more people but that's just me. Over all the dinner was great. The sever was very personable and answered all our questions thoughtfully and never pushed us in any direction. He did make our meal better though. My wife was curious about the Pimm's cocktail and he did encourage her to try it. Now she has a new drink favorite. The mushroom side is amazing. The halibut special was perfect. My only regret was not being able to handle dessert. The carrot cake may be famous but the portion is ridiculously large. No one needs that much cake. So it was wasted. I feel horrible about that."

"The food here was absolutely outstanding! I enjoyed the delicious salmon and a twice baked potato while my daughter enjoyed a fabulous filet and garlic mashed potatoes. The dessert, A Heath Chocolate cake concoction, was so delicious that I thought I'd died and gone to Heaven. When we first arrived, the service started off a bit slow but eventually the staff more than made up for that. The views were fabulous and the interior was upscale and quite possibly even a bit swanky.... which I enjoyed. Overall, this was an experience I hope to repeat with my husband or with a group of friends."

"Overall our dinner at Fulton's was very pleasant. The staff were very professional and provided good service. We had a friend as our guest who lives in Chicago and had recommended Fulton's. We enjoyed our evening with her in this very nice setting. We all had the salmon dish which was presented well, but my husband and I thought it was slightly undercooked so it was a little mussy instead of flakey. The ambiance in the restaurant is perfect for pleasant a pleasant dinner."

"A little dissapointed in the lack of gluten free menu options but the location and overall impression was good. Menus could be a lot smaller in size as they are a bit to big to handle and not the most attractive sight. Let the food speak for itself."

"1st Valentine's Day date. There is an 8$ discounted evening parking lot literally around the corner, big +, because you're about to shed some extra bucks at this place. A wonderful spinach salad and oysters - raw and Rockefeller, started off the evening, along with an Aviation and Moscow Mule - all great and recommended. Entre was a cooked, gently browned grouper, served in mussels and shrimp red paella - the grouper was good, firm, the paella was just ok. My girlfriend has the scallops, served in pureed potatoes, which were delicious. Entrées were accompanied by steamed asparagus, which I highly recommend - one order easily serves two. Capped off the night with another set of drinks and a crème brulee (excellent)."

"Went here for Valentine's day with the girlfriend and we both really enjoyed it. I got the filet and she had scallops which we both liked alot. Also started with salads, wine and the lobster bisque - all fantastic. The venue was a bit empty given the occasion, but didn't take away from the great service, food and the decor. I have been here before in the summer and it has alot more energy with the doors open, the river right below you and the drinks flowing. Will definitely go back."

"One of the best restaurants we've visited in North America! The location is excellent, right by the shore of the Chicago River with an actual water taxi stop deck in the outside terrace... We had the 'Maine Lobster bisque' to start and for the main course we ordered 'Wild Cold water LOBSTER Tails' with a side dish of creamed spinach , pan roasted mushrooms and brussels sprouts...everything was just superb!!!specially the way they presented the lobster Tails..the dessert was an unexpected surprise too: the 'banana cream pie' is out of this world..The service is top notch and all the staff is very friendly and make you feel like royalty!"

"We were at Fulton's on a Friday evening. It was very lively. We were celebrating a birthday and I had asked for a quiet spot so that we could visit with our guests. We had that in a corner table by the river. The service was great and thorough and constantly came back to ask if we needed anything more. We had the restaurant week menu....the steaks were great, the chicken great too, but a very small portion. They came with the dessert and had candles in the dessert for the birthday person. I definitely want to come back in the summertime and eat on their patio overlooking the Chicago River. We will come back."

"I was assuming that sending in a request via Open Table would put the restaurant on notice that the occasion was to celebrate my friend's birthday, but that information never made it to Fulton's staff; neither did the request for a booth. Nevertheless, we were seated by the window and had a beautiful view of the river. Fulton's menu was enticing as was the drinks' list, which included a variety of creative elixirs, new and old. The crab cake appetizer was delicious and my friend enjoyed the iceberg wedge with blue cheese. The steaks were quite good, but the brussel sprouts with a hint of vanilla stole the show. Desserts were okay, but again, no recognition of my friend."

"This may have been the worst Ribeye Steak I've ever attempted to eat. Top it off they rip you off to the tune off $54 for a piece of horse meat. Do it go to this restaurant.
The staff was great unfortunately the owners don't care about what they serve and these employees jobs are at stake. It was less than 50% full on a Friday night at 8pm. It was also Restaurant week and they were participating, what a disgrace."

"With all of the awesome options in Chicago for steaks, Fulton's is not a stand-out. You get the feeling of complacency there... no energy or passion for what they are doing. It was just average - and for a restaurant to truly succeed, they need to exceed guest's expectations."
