"My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Palme D'Or, and we had a very good time! Great food, excellent service, in fantastic surroundings. A walk around this historic building after dinner is just the icing on the cake. Having dinner at Palme D'Or at least once should be mandatory for everyone who visits South Florida, and who enjoys French food."

"Fantastic food and unparalleled service. Service staff is very knowledgable and offered great wine recommendations. Well worth treating yourself, especially if you are a guest of the hotel. A bit on the pricey side but worth every penny. Unlike many state-side places, the service charge is included... So it's easy to over tip (after a few cocktails)."

"We were really excited about eating at the Palme d'Or. I knew it would be quite expensive, but when the food is supposed to be so outstanding, I figured "Why not?" Well, the food was salty. The desert was good, but nothing outstanding, nothing I could get at an American restaurant serving some French specials. In fairness, the staff offered to recook all of the dishes, but we did not take advantage of it. At a restaurant of the Palme's caliber, one doesn't expect to have this problem in the first place. I am very sad to report that the Palme d'Or is very overrated, especially considering the price."

"The Biltmore is a landmark hotel with an unmatched ambiance in Coral Gables. To also have such a consistently excellent restaurant is not always the case even in the best hotels. The tasting menu with the grand cru pairings is an excellent way to try the full spectrum of flavors and textures. We particularly enjoyed the foie gras & the langostine, & the lamb was amazing. Get a table by the window before the sun sets - the pool view will pleasantly surprise you! Never a disappointment, but we do hope a new chef will re-inspire the tried (but true) menu. Love Patrick!"

"An excellent choice for a special occasion or when you want a conversation-friendly environment that is truly first class. We had an extremely knowledgeable and personable sommeliere who helped make a wine decision we were comfortable with and wasn't the most expensive on the list--as is so often the case. We also had the prix fixe menu (available before 7:30 pm) which was an excellent value for the quality of the meal and service. I will definitely return for special dinners."

"Service was good. The scene was lovely. View of the pool and statues. Inside was very clean with mirrors all around which gave reflections of the light. Very nice. Food as usual for French was very little but with a lot of flavor. Two Scallops with sauce were excellent and one Lanqostino was average. Lobster bisque was watery. Extensive wine list. We would not go back again."

"We had dined here many times. Last year the service had deteriorated and the small plates menu a little tired. We avoided for almost a year. I am happy to say that the service was extraordinary, the new menu excellent (appetizers/entrees) and overall the best restaurant experience in a long time."
