Amada Reviews List

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"It was tough to get a reservation for my party, date and time but given Amada's reputation I perservered and dined on Monday. Frankly, it must have been and off night at the resturant as the food was not very good when I visited. Most items were very salty, spicy sweet potatoes were not spicey at all. Scallops were salty and over cooked. Lamb chops were very nicely done however.

Can't say I was impressed.

Review 9 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"We had been looking forward to trying Amada for a long time and finally got a chance. It totally lived up to our expectation! The serrano ham and melon was incredible, and my dark chocolate custard was fantastic. The service was not quite what you might hope for in a tapas restaurant, when you might be thinking of ordering more, but was fine for a regular restaurant. All of our food was at least really good, if not exceptional. Great for a special night out or with a group."

Review 13 for Amada

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"Food was generally good. However, when you pay a good amount of money for a "tasting menu", I expect more than french fries as one of the dishes (aka "spicy potatoes" and which looked very different on-line). Also, at least 3 dishes had the same sauce on them. Shrimp was too salty. Definitely not as good as a previous visit 1+ year ago."

Review 15 for Amada

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"The food was good, but we went with the tasting menu and was not fully aware of the amount of food. It was too much for us, unlike Zahav when we did the same thing. The next time we go we will be more informed eaters, but it is not a restaurant we would go back to immediately. We had heard so much about it that it was quite difficult for any place to live up to the hype."

Review 18 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"We had a wonderful lunch. Good knowledgeable non-obstrustive waiter Delicious food and very reasonably priced.
We have been to Amada before but this was the first for lunch. They had a sandwich-salad-and soup lunch plus wonderful desert
Had white bean and ham soup- wife had pumpkin soup- delicious. We then had tuna salad (3) pyramids of tuna salad on toast
and small green salad plus super french fries with cheese sauce. Desert was raspberry sorbet sand chocolate mousse

Review 19 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"This place was simply fabulous! The table was ready for us when we arrived (using open source), we had the coolest waiter, and the food was delicious. I was truly glad we were seated in the back area of the restaurant - because the front section was packed and the conversation level "energetic." We ordered from all over the menu but the chorizo & clams was to die for. The sangria tinto was the perfect beverage with the various tapas plates we ordered."

Review 21 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"My friend and I visited this restaurant on an overnight trip to Philadelphia. We enjoyed it immensely. We thought the Tapas were better than we have had to eat at a well known NYC resttaurant. The front room and bar were very lively after 8PM. The back room where we ate was quieter and to my view had a warmer ambience. We thought it was perfect for the casual kind of dining experience it was. Don't miss the jambon salad it was terrific. We also thought that it was fairly priced for the quality of the food. Our bill with a bottle of wine and tip was $95.00."

Review 23 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"The Chef's Selection is the way to go. Short rib flatbread, the octupus with potatoes, the lamb chop, the spinach salad wrapped in Spanish ham and the rabbit pasta (to die for) were memorable plates among the many delicious offerings. Wine pairings worked well with the courses. Desserts are not to be missed, especially the dark chocolate custard with sorbet and berries. What a wonderful experience. Can't wait for a return visit."

Overall Rating 2.0 out of 5 (Fair)
"Overrated! My husband and I wanted a nice romantic night out and instead we got a very loud restaurant were we had to scream to hear each other (so did our waiter), we were rushed through dinner and had to stop the wait staff from removing our food before we were finished 3 times. For the price the atmosphere was not worth it! The food was great, but I prefer to enjoy it and not be finished in 45 minutes."

Review 38 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"Excellent food with great service. It's not really classic tapas, but rather a series of small Mediterranean dishes that are suitable for sharing. Like every other food sharing concept, it's great for social groups but may be less appropriate for business dinners. This popular restaurant gets booked up weeks in advance, so make your reservation early."

"I highly recommend the chef's tasting menu with the wine pairings. The pairings complemented each other wonderfully and the food was outstanding. Review 41 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"We participated in restaurant week at Amada and it was out first time eating there.
Positives: The Food! It was excellent. Between the two of us we were able to try 10 meals from the menu which was not only filling but delicious. Dishes included the melon wrapped in prosciutto, the ensalada verde, the short rib flatbread, the white bean stew, and the mushrooms were amazing.
Negatives: We arrived for a 7:45 reservation and did not get seated until 8:45! Granted it was restaurant week and extra busy, but this shouldnt mean that service suffers this greatly. They didn't even comment on the delay when they seated us or offer a free drink. Our waiter seemed exhausted. Did not expect that they would overbook this much.

Review 45 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"Amada has been popular since its start. The food is reliably excellent and the atmosphere is great. One area or opportunity for improvement is seating of patrons. Due to a variety of reasons I had to make an early reservation (6pm). The restaurant was about 1/3 full, with plenty of seating in the front room, yet I found myself being led back to the very remote corner of the back room. Not the first time. I usually don't say anything, but frankly I've had it with this ridiculous practice. I earn a very good living and I don't have three heads! So, what do you have to do to get a better table??"

Review 47 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"The food is fabulous - as is the ambience. We think Garces is a genius. Take your time to plan your choices from the extensive menu. You want a good balance. We found the pork dishes to be among the best, and the flavors are all worth savoring. If you choose wisely, you will have saved room to taste some of the wonderful desserts with a cup of fabulous Cafe con Leche. This is a memorable place - not to be missed if you love food and eating well."

Thank you Kevin.

Review 54 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"We had a wonderful time!! The food was seasoned well, tapas portions were what we were expecting. The paella valenciana was delicious, the only comment we had is perhaps top it with a watercress or arugla versus green that was on top, drawing a blank right now but it was either flat leaf parsley or cilantro. White Sangria was delicious!Looking forward to go back!!!! Thank you!"

Review 57 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"Overall, we truly enjoyed Amada. We had the tasting menu (middle price), which was great. My favorite dishes included garlic shrimp, the mushrooms, and the cheese plate. My husband's favorite was the lamb chops and the grilled shrimp. We also both enjoyed the beef shortrib flatbread and the beef with the goat cheese mousse. My one critique would be regarding our service - though the various busboys brought the tasting dishes promptly and efficiently, once our meal was completed, it took a long time for our server to check in to see if we wanted dessert, to bring us the check, and to take our payment. It had gotten busier in the restaurant at that time, but it was still frustrating."

Review 59 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"We really like going to Amada for a special evening out. We started with a glass of wine and a 3 selection chesse plate. Then we had a pumpkin soup with buffalo mozz and toasted pumpkin seeds. We also ordered a beef shortrib flat bread as well as lambchops stuffed with goat's cheese. The lambchops lacked flavor as appeared as if they were deep fried.

For dessert we had fried vanilla ice cream (which tasted like vanilla yogurt) and a small scoop of hazelnut ice cream - the hot and cold together was wonderful.

Review 61 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"The food and sangria were outstanding. The wine selection was extensive yet accessible. The Tortilla Espanada was this gentleman's favorite while the lady preferred the cured ham from the mixto, though we were both in agreement that the albondigas (lamb meatballs) were absolutely phenomenal.

The atmosphere was lively, especially as it seemed the main bar was in competition with the main dining room to be the more raucous. Thankfully, we were seated in a second, quieter dining room, making conversation possible if one shouted across the monstrous tables. I felt it was a little too dark, especially to see the food. The service was acceptable for a busy Saturday and the mixup with coat check was the only hiccup. Can't wait to return.

Review 64 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"Great food, except too much of it! I asked our waiter if the number of tapas plates would be enough and he recommended we order 1 more. Then after that they brought out 2 "complimentary" plates, so we ended up with 7 between my date and I! The food was great, but we were completely stuffed in the end, and not able to enjoy the last dish.

Also, it's rather noisy and the seating for 2 leaves you and your date sitting a bit far from each other. We had to repeat ourselves quite a few times.

Overall a great experience though!

"One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. At first I was confused by the ordering style, but that was quickly remedied by the thorough and knowledable servers. We had more than two people possibly could've consumed, at a price that didn't make me cringe. Will definitely return. Not to dimish the excellence of this restaurant, but the tables for two were a bit close together and at times it got loud, but this was probably attributed to the rowdy party of frat boys that were sitting behind us."

Review 70 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"A positive experience. Pacing was sharp. Impressive plate presentation. Our top dish was Albondigas (lamb meatballs w/ shaved manchego cheese), followed by Fideos con Mariscos (calamari pasta w/ scallops and clams). The chickpeas and spinach lacked the flavorful punch of our other dishes, and the dessert, Pastel con Ciruelas (warm brown butter cake) was hardly warm at all. Service was solid but a little too informal; our main server could have been a bit more attentive. The main room (where the bar is) got loud as the night wore on--ask for a back room table, which also steers you clear of the chill around the front door. Our back booth was entirely too low-slung and required sitting on two pillows to achieve a respectable dining height."

Review 71 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"My boyfriend and I came in for Valentines day. We came in the day after Vday to avoid the overkill of people dining on such a busy day. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations and was very sweet and "on point." The wine list was great! We order drinks from the bar and right after we ordered them, we got escorted to our table which resulted in the bartender presenting the wine at the table. That was a nice touch. The only thing that was slightly off was the lamb chops. One of them was a bit fatty so I was picking around it but my boyfriends was perfect. No biggie- it happens. Overall, great food, service, and ambiance. It was our first time there and we will be back. : )"

Review 72 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"I had high expectations for this place considering all of the recent acclaim that Chef Garces has received. I was not let down at all. The experience was amazing. The food was incredible, from the aged manchego cheese, to the flatbreads, the lamb meatballs, and the sirloin. It was one incredible bite after another. I'm looking forward to one day getting a group together to order the roasted pig. Favorite place in the city, hands down."

Review 73 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"We were a group of four eating dinner on a Saturday night. With all the snow and ice in Philly it took some time getting there and the other couple were late by 1/2 and hour. But kudos to Amada for holding our table on a busy Saturday night. We had all been there once before and none of us cared much for it that first time. This time however, was much different. Everything we had we all loved. Flatbread, shrimp, lamb, pork, scallops, you name it we loved it. Our server was very helpful and her recommendations were all spot on. The sangria was tasty as were the mojitos. We even did well with the desserts, though we were split on the rice pudding. This time Amada lived up to it's reputation."

Review 79 for Amada

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"My husband and I went for a night out without kids...we did the chef's tasting menu which was fun but next time we will pick our own. Most of the food was good except for the pork was dried out. Loved the red Sandria and the Torro Tinto wine. I think this restaurant would be more fun with a large group. It is really too loud to have a romantic dinner but if you are looking for a fun time I would recommend it. You got a lot of food for the price unlike the french restaurants where you leave with an empty wallet and hungry."

Review 81 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"Food was WONDERFUL! Their grilled octopus was amazingly tender and so simply prepared, it was a delightful flavorful surprise. I wouldnt order the steak (sirloin), nothing to take home to mom... in particular when the mushroom, stuffed piquillo peppers and the lamb chops made you beg for more (assuming you have room to pack it all in!). We definitely did not heed Harrison's warning - the "chef's choice" pairing, is LOADED with food, and if he tells you to "pace yourself" - by all means, listen! You will not leave hungry! The flatbreads are delightful and the peach napoleon, a fine ending to a wonderful meal. We are definitely Chef Garces fans!"

Review 82 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"We waited 3 weeks to get in, and it was well worth the wait. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the service first-rate. The Chef's selection was amazing...approximately 15 dishes, each perfectly prepared, with a variety of meats, cheeses, seafood and vegetables. The wine list is wonderful, as is the beer selection.

It is a bit noisy in the restaurant, but not to the point that we could not talk. Overall, a marvelous dining experience.

Review 86 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"Food was good. Really liked the restaurant decor. They recommend 3-4 dishes per person, however we ordered 2 salads and 5 little dishes for 4 people at lunch, which was plenty. Ensalada Verde was really tasty. Crab Stuffed Peppers were awesome. Lamp Meatballs were tasy and different - very smokey flavored, but I wouldn't say they were amazing. Cheese plate was not as inspiring as others we've had in Philly (Parc, for instance). Baked Goat Cheese was very tasty, but could easily be done at home. The biggest disappointment was the poor attititudes from the hostess, the server (actually said "is that ALL??" after we ordered!) and the unattentive bartender."

Review 87 for Amada

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"I have been to Amada a few times and have greatly enjoyed the food on all occassions. The most recent experience was during Restaurant Week. While the good was terrific, as usual, we felt that the service was very rushed and that we were a part of an assembly line - get 'em in and get 'em out as quickly as possible. It really deterred from the whole dining experience and I am likely to opt for other dining options before returning again to Amada."

Review 91 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"The food is spectacular, about the best you'll find in an atmosphere this relaxed. Our waiter was helpful in making sugggestions, although one dish we ordered never came. (Nor were we charged for it, nor could we have eaten much of it had it come, as we'd essentially ordered too much.)

Expect to order 5-7 dishes for two people, and to spend upwards of a $100 for the equivalent of a three course meal. But it's all well worth it.

Review 94 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"I recently visited Amada for Restaurant Week, and my date and I greatly enjoyed the evening. However, I felt Amada would be better for a group -- the "couple" tables were on top of each other, and I heard the neighboring conversation the whole evening, but the group tables were more spacious and separate.

We ordered the beef shortbread flatbread and grilled scallops, among other selections. Everything was very good -- nothing amazing, but I enjoyed the entire meal and would easily have ordered the same again.

Service was amazing. I never felt I was being watched, but someone was always there. I dropped a fork once, someone appeared with a new one immediately.

I'd love to go again soon with a group, but unsure with just a date.

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"We went for restaurant week and got more food then we could handle. We were stuffed by dessert so absolutely got our money's worth. Highlights included the garlic shrimp, white bean and ham stew, short rib flatbread, chicken with egg and truffle. Only disappointment was the spanish tortilla which was just plain and bland compared to everything else. Drinks were a bit pricy too so even though it was restaurant week the bill added up. Review 106 for Amada

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"We went during restaurant week and I was disappointed. It certainly didn't meet all the hype. Our two favorite tapas were the manchego cheese (served with outstanding lavender honey) and chorizo, both attributable to purchasing good product more than a talent in the kitchen per se. Even the bread was lackluster. The 2nd course tapas were also just OK or worse - not good - the shortribs flatbread was over-seasoned with horseradish The desserts were the MOST disappointing. I was SUPER excited to go and really thought it fell pretty flat. The manager who floated around the whole night didn't even smile or seem friendly. He was kind of menacing. Loved our waiter though - Harrison."

Review 108 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"We went for restaurant week, so ordered from their restaurant week menu. There were plenty of things for vegetarians, and others as well. The food was INCREDIBLE. Although it's tapas (small plates) we felt very full. We each got two appetizers, two entrees, and a dessert each. The server was friendly and answered all of our questions, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was fun, yet intimate. Also, their sangria is amazing, I tried a glass of each. The blanco was my favorite, but they are all delicious. Enjoy!"

Review 109 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"I took my step-daughter, who is a budding foodie for a long delayed graduation dinner. She loved it. I had been once before and found the second visit as exciting and rewarding as the first. Everything was excellent. It's good to know that Philadelphia has Amada, among several other restaurants, that one can go to without concern that it will not live up to its reputation or your memory of your last visit. Sorry to be less than specific about the food, but I would recommend doing what we did; put yourself in the hands of the chef and order the tasting menu. Also, don't be timid about asking the waitstaff to bag the excess food to take home. They are more than glad to do it and it makes an excellent meal the next day!"

"This place is amazing! True talent in the kitchen, and the atmosphere is gorgeous and the staff were all lovely. We went for Restaurant Week and it's a very generous menu for that. Review 114 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"We really enjoyed the Restaurant Week menu selection. Getting a variety of food to try out in the Tapas style dining is a great way to eat. We felt that the variety of choices, the portions given, and the flavor of everything was Perfect. This would be a great place to eat with a group. The only downside was in the dining area. The table area is crowded, I was sitting closer to the people to my left and right than my wife, directly across from me. We even needed to move the tables around so people could get into their seats on the booth end. I would not suggest this place for an intimate, romantic dinner. But Definitely for a fun and tasty outing with friends and family."

Review 116 for Amada

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"I have been to Amada several times now and have always enjoyed the experience. However, on this visit I had an unfortunate encounter with a hostess. Even though we had reservations (that were made weeks in advance) we were not allowed to be seated until 45 min after our scheduled time because one member of our party was running late (we had even offered to order for him). When we were finally seated a pitcher of sangria was ordered which took a half hour to arrive. By the time we were able to order we had already been at the restaurant for over an hour and were starving! The food was great but another experience like that and I may rethink my restaurant choice."

Review 117 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"I would have to say Amada is the best "Restaurant Week" restaurant I've ever been to. The amount of food was perfect, and the Tapas style made it easy to share with whoever you dine with. I've been to many restaurants in New York and Philadelphia during "Restaurant Week" and have to say that I left still feeling unsatisfied or not impressed with the menu. Amada was an excellent choice, and I will be returning to sample different dishes off their main menu soon."

Review 118 for Amada

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"The food was delicious. We went for Restaurant Week and there was an amazing selection. I highly recommend the grilled mushrooms and the aged manchego cheese with green apples and lavender honey. I loved that they kept the tapas menu so we were able to try a number of different dishes. And the Sangria Blanco was definitely a delicious spin on the traditional drink. My only complaint was that we were seated in the back room, and the cushioned bench was way to low for the table (kind of awkward when you're short to begin with). I would definitely return to Amada!"

Review 119 for Amada

Overall Rating 1.0 out of 5 (Poor)
"We ate at the bar, which we prefer to the dining room. We were there for the special "restaurant week" menu so we were able to sample (4) appetizers, (4) entrees, and a dessert between the 2 of us. The food was brilliant! The flavors combined with the artful presentation is what makes Amada stand out for me. I wanted to get up and applaud as each little plate was set infront of us. Even on this unusually busy night, the service was seamless. Each course arrived as we had just finished the previous. There were no lags, nor did we feel like we were being rushed. Everything was delicious, but the ham croquettes and the crab stuffed peppers were stand outs. We had the chocolate lavendar custard dessert which was extraordinary!"

"We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. We were seated immediately and our table was nicely located in the back of the restaurant.

After anticipating our reservation made a month earlier, it exceeded our expectations!
We would recommend it to adults with a love of Spanish food.

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"Loved the majority of the experience. I would have to admit that I found the padded bench seats to be extremely uncomfortable, far too low and way too soft!!! We requested to switch seats where my husband and I would both have had a wooded chair, and our original waiter was less than pleased with us.( We were first seated at seat 80.) We were allowed to switch to a seat across from there and were in Daniels section. He was pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed everything that we ordered and would want to eat there again...if I had a chair, not the padded bench!"

"Overall, my experience was only OK. I wasnt wowed. I also went during restaurant week where there is a limited menu and tons of people. I had heard so much about this place and was so looking forward to going, but it definitely fell short of my expectations. Again, it may have just been the fact that it was restaurant week, but if you want to eat at a Garces restaurant - I would recommend Tinto over Amada any day."

"From drinks to dessert, everything we had was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. My husband and I went during Restaurant Week, so between the two of us, we ordered 10 plates in all--four tapas dishes for the first course, four for the second and two desserts, which was more than satisfying. I could rave about each dish individually, but in our experience, the #1 standout was the Madre e Hijo because of both the mouthwatering flavors and the impossibly tender chicken--my husband actually declared it the best thing he ever ate. I can't wait to go back!"

"Only issue was the fact that the chair had my wife about a foot higher than me in the bench with the cushion. It was comfortable, but tables should be all benches or all chairs so that you eyes are at the same level. I'd hate to only leave a negative comment about a great dining experience - the short rib flatbread and the ham croquettes were outstanding! I'll be back."

"I loved, loved, loved the Dulce de Leche to start as well as the salad verde, which meant that the meal started on it's best note, then gradually declined. The second course was tasty but not overwhelmingly wonderful (asparagus with truffles and wild mushrooms). The desserts weren't particularly good (I tried the almond brown butter cake and the chocolate lavender dessert.) Still, I would absolutely go back just for that cheese to start with!"

Review 144 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"Some of the food rated 5 stars, other, 4. The wait staff was friendly. However, the bus people removed plates quickly without asking if we wanted the sauce which was left in the serving plates. They were too efficient to afford a totally comfortable dining experience. At times, we had to touch their arms to request they leave a plate or a drink. The food was really wonderful, although the full restaurant was too noisy for a relaxing meal."

Review 145 for Amada

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"Overall I was rather disappointed. Amada did not live up to my expectations, but it might not be fair to judge a restaurant by a restaurant week experience.

The tapas were ok but not excellent, the main course was rather mediocre. In return the deserts were excellent. The wines were good. The waiting staff was good and unobtrusive.

There was a highly pretentious mob szene and the noise level was a too high. To get the coats back we stood for a quarter of eternity in the crowded, draftiy entrance area and I was frozen by the time I was at last able to leave this place.
I'd say: the hype around this place is not quite justified and Amada appears to get overrated.

Review 161 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"While primping in the ladies room at work before my Restaurant Week dinner at Amada (first visit), I talked to two other girls who were also dining out. We all stated where we were going to eat that night. When I mentioned Amada, both of the girls said it was their absolute favorite place and told me what they liked to eat best there and that I was going to just LOVE it. OK--so I had looked at the menu in advance and I knew about Jose Garces and the Iron Chef, though I'm not a foodie and don't follow those things. The food was AMAZING. Ten dishes, all exquisite and delicious, not over the top froo-froo, just excellent ingredients and preparation. My risk avoidant partner loved the food, too. I can't explain the experience. Just GO!"

Review 163 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"The restaurant week was great and most likely representative of their everyday menu. Our service was not great. I believe our server thought we were young and therefore just there for the restaurant week "bargain" when in reality we're two servers at fine dining establishments who generally tip over 20%. In this case we did not and chose not to get wine on top of it for the same reason. He barely listened while we gave our order and was not attentive... Luckily, the amazing food made up for everything."

"We decided to do a lunch in Philadelphia last minute through Open Table. So glad we did. Our lunch at Amada was quite perfect. The tapas were just fabulous--we shared a bottle of wine and just savored each taste. It was fun, because we spoke with our neighbors about the tapas we had and what they were considering; sort of comparing notes. It was a lovely atmosphere and the food made you just love it all the more."

Review 165 for Amada

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"As it was Restaurant Week, the place was jam-packed. But even with the abbreviated menu, there were plenty of wonderful choices. The Gambas al Ajillo (garlic shrimp) was outstanding, as was the grilled chicken in the Madre e Hijo, where the chicken melted in your mouth. There were also plenty of choices for vegetarians as our dining companions happily found, and even non-vegetarians will really enjoy the green salad, which was delicious, light and refreshing. Coffee was excellent and hot. We just wished there were more choices for dessert."

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"I've been in for dinner several times before and this meal was as good as the rest. However, this time I brought my very unadventurous 89yr old grandfather along and he loved everything as well. We sat towards the back which was nice because it was quiet. I ordered items from all over the menu for the table and the standouts were the octopus, pork flat bread, rabbit pasta, and branzino. Our server was very knowledgeable as well and picked an excellent red wine for me."
