"My wife and I spent a weekend in NYC for our "Christmas Presents" to each other. the Tap room was our final stop on Sunday for Brunch. it was a return trip. The food is simply outstanding. We will come back any chance we get. The service at all of Mr. Collichio's restaurants is simply amazing and sets them apart from all others. We had wonderful conversations with the manager and staff who were genuinely interested. It's the entire experience that makes all of the Collichio establishments some of the best!"

"The food was tasty; we had scallop crudo, skate, steak, cavatelli, and brisket of beef although the last was on the small side. The service was perfunctory; almost as though the wait staff was in training. They asked the right questions but didn't listen or follow up. For example, when asked if we wanted bread everyone said yes but none was forthcoming. We have been here twice before and hadn't had the same experience either time."

"We were able to dine at the "bar" and watch the chefs cook, which was a real treat. The food was perfectly prepared and presented, with attention to every detail. Our group chose a variety of entrees from burgers and pizza to pasta and skate, and they were all delicious. The desserts were to die for--do not skip dessert!"

"Saturday brunch reservation at Tap room .....we were seated in main dining room because "too busy". They opened up dining room because as hostess said "we just too busy" yet they did not have enough servers to cover both rooms and we waited and waited for service.....not up to usual standards. Then we finished and asked for dessert menu and was told "we don't do dessert at brunch"!!! huh? One should note....this place has exceptional food and usually great service!"

"We had an exceptional time at Colicchio's Tap Room while in NYC. Everyone from the wait staff to the bartenders to the hostess was professional and friendly. Colicchio's brought it all that night; great service, fantastic food, superb wine choice and welcoming atmosphere.

"It's not necessary to spend a lot of money to taste a good food. Two courses for US$ 25 is really good price to have a lunch with that quality.

"We dined early (6:30) on a Sunday, the room is stunning as are the views of the Highline. The cocktail offerings were inventive & a nice beer selection. My husband had the sirloin which was a perfect rare with kale that was a perfect accent. I had the Cavatelli with Beef Cheek Ragoût which was good, not great. Small amount of protein, however the pasta was cooked spot on al dente. Nice touch with the muffins to to, we enjoyed them during a walk the next morning. Great service (team) without being over-bearing. An email thank you from the establishment the next day was a nice touch. Would go back the next time we're in town."

"Looking for a nice restaurant close to the Hudson for our last day in the city and found this highly rated restaurant. A group of 3 ordered brunch and lunch options with a beef tartare appetizer along with a couple of specialty drinks and a couple mimosa. Only complaint was the tomatillo bloody mary was unpalatable. Nothing was really special by any means. If this were a dive bar offering these items I would say it was a dive bar with very good taste, but as a fine dining establishment I would say the food was pretty good, but really not special by any means. I would go back if in the area, but more than likely get take out from Chelsea Market and enjoy the fresh air."

"The menu options were very limited which would have been fine if they were more inspiring. Everybody's food was beyond way too salty though I have to note that the manager kindly offered to re-cook everyone's meal. Naturally, we didnt take the offer but, that's good service. The atmosphere, drinks and desserts were awesome. Roasted marshmallow ice cream was one of the best things i've eaten in my life and everyone else at the table agreed."

"I was "stuck" in NYC for the evening and managed to get a reservation for 1 person in the Tap Room. Even though I was a party of one I felt welcome from the moment I walked in the door. I was sat immediately and then offered water within minutes of having been sat. I ordered a cocktail, the beef tartare, and the skate with brown butter sauce. The food was fantastic and the pacing was perfect. I can't wait to go back and try out the dining room side of the house."

"Have been there several times for lunch special occasions. Menu interesting, food was uniformly very good and service very proper yet friendly. Steak tar-tare (cubed, not ground) was over-the-top excellent. Wine selections good. Very pleasant ambiance. Leisurely pace; patrons were not rushed. Noise level was low.
Few diners there at lunch each time we went. Unfortunately, while I have enjoyed it each time I went, I would not recommend it to others for lunch because it was too pricey to make it anything more than for a special occasion. A priced-down lunch menu would make it much more attractive to those of us who would like to make it a more "regular" lunch destination."

"Went to Colicchio & Sons for Lunch then had to try the Brunch the next moring, that's how much I enjoyed dinning there. I can't wait to come back and try the main dinning room for dinner. The service was perfect not stuffy at all. Noteworthy: the Duck Confit it litterly fell off the bone and the steak tartare (which brought back some childhood memories) and for the Brunch the BLT-E sammie is not to be missed as well as the coconut cream doughnuts."

"I would have given another star but two of my dining companions were vegetarian and had a bit of a challenge finding something to order. They ended up with mushroom pizza and the pasta dish. They felt a bit disappointed, and would have preferred more creative fair. That being said, I had the pasta and bought it was outstanding and I was not even a little disappointed. I felt the service was attentive, the staff well trained, the atmosphere much like that of Riverwalk-spacious, light, and good acoustics. I would return. After dinner,a stroll on the HighLine capped the evening nicely."

"Last weekend I went to colicchio and sons to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had a reservation for two people. When we got to the door the host, Mr Mohammad, was very welcoming and very accomodating. We told him that we would be 4 people instead of two and he helped us without any problem. While we were waiting for our table, he guided us through the menu of which he had an extensive knowledge as well as some great knowledge of french wine. We have never seen a host like this anywhere, truly professional. Then at the table, our waiter Thanh was very helpful. He took great care of us and sent my wife a cake at the end of the meal. The service team was amazing. Thank you Thanh and Mohammad and the team for making us feel like home."

"I chose the Tap Room of Colicchio & Sons for my birthday dinner, having loved the meal I enjoyed a few months ago Colicchio's Del Posto next door, but wanting something more simple and less expensive that evening. It was the perfect choice. The starters we chose, Tuna Rillet and house-made liverwurst, were both wonderful, as were our main choice selections, the Nieman Ranch sirloin (a perfect medium rare, as I had ordered it) and the coffee-rubbed brisket which was, in fact, the BEST and most delicious brisket I've ever had (and I've had plenty): flavorful, fork-tender, yet pink on the inside and not overcooked. The service was professional and attentive. My martini was perfect, and the wine list extensive, We'll be back."

"Great food and excellent customer service. I didn't finish the food because it was a little overcooked (still very good) and they didn't charge for my dish, which I did not ask. This gave me the impression that they are really confident about the quality and take pride in what they deliver. The wine was great and ambiance also perfect. Cannot ask for more. "Loved the specialty drinks. The meal was amazing. We shared 4 appetizers and all were delicious, especially the black cabbage and speck pizza. The burger was one of the most delicious burgers I've ever had and my husband's brisket melted in his mouth.
The only issue was that the service seemed to trail off at the end of our meal. After we were served our coffee and dessert our waitress seemed to disappear. We had to flag down the manager to get our check. That was the only downer of an otherwise perfect meal."
