"This place has been around for a while and delivers comfortable food in the heart of the action in Montreal.

"I've always enjoyed the food at W&G. The outdoor seating in the summer is fabulous but only on the terrace upstairs. They crowd the tables a bit too much downstairs and one feels total lack of space, hearing other diner's conversations. They are so close that they might as well be at the same table. I had requested a seat at the terrace upstairs in my note when reserving through open table, but the host mentioned that they do not receive notes from open table and cannot view or respect the special request. The host almost appeared to be annoyed that people make special requests. The ambiance and food can be so pleasant once one gets past the attitude of the host or maitre'd. The service is also very very good."

"Booking a reservation was really easy and quick the night before Friday. I also had to move the time forward the same day as my reservation. I called in and the hostess gave me no problem with the time change considering it was a Friday evening reservation.
Great place, right on Crescent St. amazing atmosphere.

"It was my second time there in 3 weeks, first time everything was great, that's why I took my wife from Québec city to try this restaurant I found in Montreal. I was a bit disapointed because the food wasn't hot. It tasted ok but it wasn,t greatbecause of the temperature. ( I had parmigiano veal with pesto pasta and my wife risotto) But for the rest everything was very nice."

"My meal was very good as usual. But my girl friend ordered the mussels, which were very good to start with, but half way done she ended up eating one that had gone bad. The waiter was very apologetic and did not charge us on our bill! Service was excellent! and so was my lasagna."
