"I need a better paying job so I can visit the Vince Young Steakhouse more often. As always, my ribeye and farm-to-table salad were excellent. This time i tried new cocktails and was particularly impressed with the White Texan (A Texas spin on the Whote Russian with bourbon and Patron). Wow - that was tasty. It was also great to see our favorite waiter Russel!"

"This was our first experience at The Vince Young Steakhouse. The bourbon selection was the best I have seen in Austin. The staff was very accommodating and helpful with any questions we had. My wife had a Caesar salad. She gave it a 6 out of ten. The boost about their homemade Croutons but there was only 4 on the plate. She had the 8 ounce Filet and said it was most excellent. I had the boned-in Ribeye. Although it was very good, I have found just as good or better steaks at Central Market. Our side consisted of corn with bacon, mash potatoes and Broccolini. The corn with bacon was the best I have ever had and the other sides were good as well. For dessert, we shared a cheesecake. It was not the normal type of cheesecake but VERY GOOD."

"While the steak was extremely good, the wine list was very limiting.
I took my wife there for our anniversary and I would have to say the atmosphere was not what I would expect in an up scale type establishment. The music was very distracting and a bit too loud.
On the the other hand my waiter was excellent and attentive to our needs.
Although I stated above I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend, I would come back just for the steak"

"We've frequented some of the country's most famous steakhouses, and the steaks at Vince Young were outstanding - some of the best I've eaten - both the filet mignon and the ribeye. The fact that they make their own sausage and pate was a bonus as well. The wine list was quite good - we got a 2007 Jordan cabernet. The sides were tasty, but not great. Overall - a great dining experience, and we just walked a short 3 blocks to 6th Street afterwords and continued our fun."

"This is my 6th time to dine at Vince Young's and it just gets better and better each time. The food was outstanding. The combinationof steak & seafood was remarkable. Mallory, our waiter, was top notch and was very attentive to providing a great dining experience with excellent service. If I were you, I would request him when dining at Vince Young's. Overall, a real diamond in Austin and I cannot wait to go back and enjoy once again real soon."

"I frequently dine out and this has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants! Everything we ordered on the menu was delicious. The only down side was that it took a while to get our food, but once we got it and saw the care that was taken to prepare it, we understood. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to any of our friends. The only caveat is that any diner needs to be prepared to pay some steep prices, but once you get past that it is very worth it! :-))"

"In my 63 years I have had the opportunity to eat in many of the world's finest restaurants and have a top ten that I keep based on my experiences. Vince Young's is definitely in my top 3. "With the construction and one-way streets, it was almost impossible to get to your front door. It would be helpful if childrens' menu items arrived at the table at an edible temperature. When small children are involved, a more timely service time is recommended also. As adults, we have no problem spending 1.5 to 2 hrs in a restaurant such as yours, but a three years old child is pressed to be on their best behavior for that period of time."

"4 friends. I got Sapre-rib Chili and Cornbread appetizer. This could have been a meal in itself. Others had salads and crabcakes. The cornbread was almost a cake it was so moise and sweat and complmented the chili perfectly. Next came the steaks. Three of us got the 12 once Filets and one person got the Ribeye. The Filets were amazing! So much so, that even though the Ribeye was delicious, that person had regret. I highly recomend the Filet. We got the Bacon Mac and Cheese, Aug Gratin Potatoes, Green Beans, and Suated Mushrooms as table sides. All of it was really good, esp the Mac and Cheese. Dessert menu looked good, but we were full. The band playing in the lobby was incredible too. Altogether, it was a great experience."

"Tuna plate does not belong on same menu as perfect ten. I was sorely disappointed with my tuna. I have been many times and the steaks are amazing. Tuna plate needs revamped. I eat seared tuna often at other fine diners and this rates towards the bottom."

"I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience. We had one of the most absolute best service ever. Michael, not sure of his last name (wearing black glasses) was extremely informative and professional. Tended to our needs but not overbearing. I ordered the rib eye (no bone) and my husband ordered the filet. Wonderful taste. I was so excited that VY offered mac and cheese (the plain kind without all the chipotle which we usually get). It was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Charcuterie Board appetizer from the recommendation of our waiter. It was fabulous. Again, thank you again for such a wonderful evening. The next time we are in town we will definitely be back."

"This is a fantastic place to go for special occasions. Our server was fantastic. The food was absolutely top notch. I wish I could remember my server's name but I had too many glasses of delicious champagne. He is a newlywed with a baby on the way. If anyone knows his name, post it on here! Hands down best Mac n Cheese of my entire life. Perfect 10 is worth the coin. Don't skimp when you go here! You won't be disappointed."

"Delicious food - steaks were unbeatable. A bit disappointed in the French Onion Soup, but they took it away and took it off of our bill. The farm to table salad looked wonderful, as well as the grilled ceasar that my friends ordered. Desserts were OK. Ordered the flourless chocolate cake and the cherry and chocolate ice cream. But the steaks are the reason to go. Our waiter, I believe his name was Kip - was outstanding!"

"This was a "Once-in-a-lifetime" meal with my family. It was my 50th Birthday. Everything was wonderful, it was just way out of our budget. I can't justify paying $42.00 for a steak. "Vince Young's Steakhouse was excellent for both service and food. This dinner was a special occasion for my wife and I. When we arrived, they greeted us which a congratulations on the occasion. They seated us a bit early because we arrived early and they accompdated our new timing. The food was just perfect and the sevice and presentation was great. They also made a custom desert for our occasion that hit the spot. After dinner, we stopped by the bar and had an after dinner drink and listened to great jazz and blues music. It was a wonderful evening for my wife an I."

"I was skeptical about trying Vince Young Steakhouse. There are so many times when a celebrity will put their name on a restaurant to make a profit but not care about the quality of the food. I must say I was blown away by the entire dining experience at Vince Young Steakhouse. The food was amazing, the ambiance made for a romantic evening and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our waiter made an excellent suggestion for a wine pairing, and I think I found a new favorite wine. I am very picky about my steaks, but this was hands down the best filet I have ever had. And to top it all off, we were sitting right across from Vince Young himself during the course of our dinner! I will definitely return!"

"Very good. We specifically went because they had bone marrow on the menu...but they were out when we got there. Luckily the chef was nice enough to fix us a beautiful appetizer of froi gras....we can't get that anymore in California so it was especially nice! I had the short ribs and loved it. My husband had the filet Oscar style and said it was one of the best ever. We really enjoyed it."

"The food rendered me speachless because it was so delicious. The overall service was good. The only issue that I had was with my reservation. I had originally booked the reservation for a party of 7 at 6:45pm but called about 5:45pm to changee my reservation to 8:30pm for a party of two. During the rescheduling, the person I spoke with almost did not recognize me as the person that booked it and focused more on the purpose of the reservation, which for the birthday. After a rushed/brushed-off confirmation, I requested the change & to disassociate me from that party all together. However, when I arrived for my 8:30pm reservation they'd dismissed it b/c people showed up at 6:45 for the party. Not my problem!"
