"Everything about our dinner was spectacular - except the food!! The prices are certainly not cheap - so Mystic should really step up the quality. The seating is extremely comfortable; the service was outstanding; even the glass ware and linens were above average. Why were the steaks and the scallops inferior quality, and the au gratin potatoes the same quality you would receive at the buffet? Incongruous would be the best description."

"We each enjoyed a steak and both were excellent - very tender and flavorful. Good value for the money, as you get salad, vegetable and potato included. Service was amazingly fast, but I know that's the standard at Mystic Lake. We were very glad we had reservations rather than having to stand in line to get a table. If cigarette smoke bothers you, ask for a table away from the smoking section or ask to have the doors closed between the two sections."

"I ordered the Walleye Pike dinner. I really hoped I could get it pan fried but saw it came only broiled and in a sauce - but I tried it. I couldn't eat it...not only did it not look appetizing with that pink sauce, it tasted very fishy. The waitress was very kind and took it back. I ordered the shrimp instead. In a very quick time I had my new meal. The shrimp were rubbery but I was hungry and ate every one of them! The flavoring was very good - just the texture was disappointing. BUt - I can't say enough good things about the wait staff! Our waitress was friendly and fun and so was the fellow who brought our food. The waitress checked back often to see if there was anything she could do for us."

"You cannot enter the steakhouse without walking through the casino. Mystic doesn't have very good air handlers. By the time I was in the steakhouse, my nose was clogged from the smoke.
The steakhouse is nice in appearance. Nice, not elegant. It is not, Seven, Capital Grille, Manny's, etc. It reminds me of an old Black Angus or the like.I had a 10 oz. Ribeye. It was about 1/2 inch thick and came to the table hot, with crisscross grill marks and a wooden stick in it stating its temperature. The potato was cooked well and had a lot of salt on the outside (which I like).
Wait staff was pleasant. All in all, a decent place. Nice...not elegant."

"My reservation was made months before, but I was seated 15 minutes late. Instead, the hostess decided to seat another couple standing in line (without a reservation) who had complained about the wait and indicated that they were going to the Joan Rivers concert (so was I). Next, a couple showed up and asked for the manager, by name. This couple, who were not in line nor had a reservation, were seated before I was, also. Evidently, it does not matter whether one has a reservation, rather it is "who you complain to" or "who you know" that carries weight with this restaurant.
The food was moderately priced and was of moderate quality. The restaurant needs an ambiance overhaul: no bar area, casino carpeting, add tablecloths."

"Although the food was very good, we arrived, sat down, were served with our appetizer, then salad, then main meal - and paid the check - within 35 minutes. We were there for our wedding anniversary and had booked a babysitter for the WHOLE evening! Never have we had such a quick dining experience - ever. The waiter was attentive enough but was very robotic - and quick! When out for an evening meal, especially for a special occasion, one would like to think the dining experience would last AT LEAST 1.5 hours. I have since spoken to 2 other couples who had similar 'quick' experiences..."

"I love the relaxed feel of this place. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The food was good and the lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was nice in the back of the restaraunt and was kind of quiet; we liked that. Our waiteress was very friendly and delivered outstanding service. The only negative thing I can say is that my rib-eye steak didn't have any taste to it, but on the flip side my wife loved her filet migon and lobster tail with aspargus."

"We were there on the night of a concert, so it was a bit busier than normal. Out waitress, however, seemed to be not very interested in helping us. She didn't mention the specials of the day, failed to mention that anchovies were available for the ceasar salad, and even then seemed to forget to put our order in as others around us that arrived after us got their food first. 40 minutes for our salads, then another 20 for the entrees isn't acceptable, no matter whats going on that night. The food, once arrived, was amazing. I have no complaints about that. I had the lasagna. It was melt in your mouth delicious pasta and meat sauce. My partner had the NY strip. Done perfectly and seasoned wonderfully."

"Our first visit to this restaurant. We went on a Saturday night, and thankfully I made a reservation. When we arrived, it was 7:30 and there was a 45 minute wait for non reserved tables. We were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time. Our server was very infomative, attentive, professional and enthusiastic. Meals are very reasonable priced- most entrees include a side salad, vegetable and potato, as well as some delicious bread. My ribeye was done exactly the way I like it, as were my companions prawns. We had Beef Bites (cajun style) for appetizer, and they were ample in portion size and very tasty. Just the right amount of "heat". We didn't have any dessert, as we were so full from the meal itself. Will return soon."

"It was a treat to dine at Mystic Steakhouse. I really didn't expect much, as it is in a casino and the dress is casual, but we will definitely be returning! The dark bread was warm and yummy. The entrees were delicious. I had a perfectly-cooked medium-rare rib eye with broiled scallops. The scallops and steak were both tender and very flavorful. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable; and there were no children even at 5:30 pm. Kids are great, but having only adults dining gave the experience a romantic feel. My only complaint (and it really isn't one) is the Cesar salad was just fair, nothing special, but it was nicely chilled, fresh and tasty. I would like to try dessert next time. We were too full this time! Go! Enjoy!"

"The food was excellent. Best steak EVER! There were 4 at our table and one of the meals was incorrect. Had to wait another 25 minutes for corrected meal to come back. At that time the other diners at my table were finished. The waitress was very apologetic and the price of my meal was subtracted from the bill and a free dessert for the table was included. Mistakes will happen and I feel the restaurant made proper amends to make things right. Will definitely return!"
