"Pork tenderloin medallions were almost raw. The sauce on top made my tongue tingle/burn.Took them all home and cooked them the next day. The fettuccini was lacking in flavor. The atmosphere was the best thing about Chianti."

"Our meals were overpriced and the food was very bland, safe but largely tasteless. The fish special cost more than the steak and was a simple crusted piece of fish with a few vegetables. I wouldn't have minded so much if the price wasn't so high ($120 for 2 people, and we split an appetizer and dessert). The food on its own is mediocre, not very flavorful but no glaring mistakes. I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to any friends or family."

"Surprised and delighted myself and my wife with classy ambience, personable service, and excellent food. My wife had a rare sirloin steak with optional portabellas on top that she swooned over, and again the next day when lunching on the take-home portion. I had an excellent walnut-crusted white fish fillet with nicely finished slender asparagus spears. We shared a scrumptious conspicuously large multi-layer slice of carrot cake that was moist and well-textured. Topped off with an excellent cup of coffee, we left satisfied and planning to return soon."

"The food was amazing and the portions were just the right size. I left feeling full, but not over stuffed as I do in so many places. The salad and bread were just a course in the meal and not endless. A welcome change to help with the right size portions. So many times, I over eat on salad and bread and then have no room for my main course. The pesto cream sauce on the ravioli was wonderful. Well done for a date night with my husband."

"We've come here before on special occasions. The food is always very good. It comes out in a timely manner and we've never had a bad plate. In general, the service is quite good as well. Typically good attention to detail, always following up, etc. Unfortunately, this time, we had a less than average server. Forgot my wife's glass of wine, took my beer before I was done with it, didn't really follow up, etc. It was a bit dissapointing as it was our 10 year anniversary dinner. That being said, we will probably come back in the future."

"My wife and I had been to the Roseville location twice before for lunch. We received a coupon in the mail for our 14th wedding anniversary. We went there at 6:30 PM for a romantic evening meal. The food and service were excellent. The noise level of the groups on both sides was very loud and not conducive to a romantic meal or even normal conversation. I had to yell across the table to be heard by my wife. I will still come for an occasional lunch but not for dinner. I would never be able to converse with business clients or my wife with a noise level like that."

"My boyfriend and I have celebrated our last two anniversaries as well as many birthdays at Chianti Grill -- We love to share Chianti with everyone we can -- the atmosphere is perfect and the food is AMAZING, especially for the price. It's awesome when we hear that our friends or family now regularly go there, too, after dining at Chianti with us. I personally love the manicotti or any one of the steaks with lobster oscar, and be sure to try one of the specials they have that day! My boyfriend almost always get whatever fish special they have, and it's absolutely splendid!"

"We went to Chianti Grill for their Mother's Day Brunch. The selection was wonderful--everything from made-to-order omelettes to a wide selection of fruits and salads to delicious prime rib to several pasta items. And the dessert choices were great also!! We sat in the bar area, and the atmosphere was very classy and charming. We'll definitely be going back to the Chianti Grill for brunch again and will also try it out for dinner sometime as well."

"If the number of patrons indicates a good restaurant, then this is it! Fortunately, our wait was short, since we had made Open Table reservations. The food was very good, the service a bit harried. It was not a detriment, but did make for a speedier dinner than we had planned."

"We have been to Chianti Grill many times, mostly for Sunday brunch & have been well satisfied with the food, service, & atmosphere. But the last couple of times have not been as enjoyable for my husband & I because of where we have been seated which is in the booths right by the bar. It spoils the ambience we go Chianti Grill to enjoy. At any restaurant, we ask to be seated away from the bar area because it is always noisy & we prefer quiet dining. We did not get any service for quite some time & also they seemed to have run out of a couple of food items that we've come to expect at Sun brunch there. On the positive note, the omelet guy did not disappoint us with our omelets!!! And the watermelon was fantastic for this time of year!"

"This was our first visit, and was a very pleasant experience. I will return! The steaks were cooked perfectly and the price was pretty reasonable for such a place. Better than some of the more expensive meals. Chef was willing to prepare some fried Shrimp for me that was not on the menu. A+ - Great place! Waitstaff friendly and attentive! Again, I look forward to my next visit!"

"Nice restaurant. Good food and service. My one complaint is they put our party of 4 at a long booth that could seat 8, facing the server station. Much too big of a table and tables by server stations shouldn't exist or should be the last seated (bad table location is a pet peeve of mine). They should not be given to people who actually bother to make a reservation."

"Love Chianti Grill - Roseville, my favorite place to eat, especially for their brunch. My favorite dish on the menu is Spicey Chicken Penne, and they have a wonderful steak also called the "Butchers Secret"...very tasty and tender. Service is always very good, my ice tea never runs dry!!"
