"I have now been at Metro North on two occasions, once for business and once with family. When bar tab is included, the total bill became excessive when compared to the overall quality of the food and experience. A BYOB in Princeton is a much better choice."

"OK, so it was Mother's Day and they were a tad overwhelmed. But the service was slow and the food was a real mixed bag. Delicious appetizer of asparagus and crabmeat and my salad with ahi tuna on arugula was tasty. But my husband's roast chicken was completely dried out, nearly inedible.
We know people who really enjoy Metro North, but the couple times I've eaten here have been a real mixed bag. Many menu items have 3 or 4 toppings or flavorings when 1 or 2 would work better. The best thing it has going for it is location. The price/value equation is just not working for me -- we paid $100 for a dinner for two and what we got for the money wasn't nearly worth what we paid."

"If you haven't tried Metro North, what are you waiting for? After hearing people rave about it on many occasions, I finally decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. The food was served in a timely manner, giving a relaxed feeling...not a hurried one. The waitress was very attentive to our needs and made sure that our water glasses were always full. The food was great and plentiful! I had the Veal Francaise and it was the best I've ever had - so tender I didn't need a knife to cut it. I will definitely be back."

"We have been coming to Metro North for a few years now. It is always very friendly with good food. There are two menus, one the specials and the other a standard menu. My husband and I always split a salad - their manchego is wonderful and quite large. This time I tried a chicken dish off the special menu. It was good, not the best I have had there, but certainly an excellent choice. My husband had a hamburger which was equally good. The attractive thing about Metro North is that you can have a burger or a full course meal and their prices are reasonable for both. This restaurant is located within easy driving distance of downtown Princeton, NJ. Without the Princeton prices but with a wonderfully casual ambiance that can suit anyone"

"The food, just like my last time here, was excellent. Started with wings, quite tasty (although messy - they really should give you a little bowl with water or extra napkins without having to ask). My wife had the Salmon Florentine - a large, tasty portion of salmon (I stole a bit). I went with the NY Sirloin, which didn't disappoint, and comes with a decent portion of vegetables.
We did feel a little rushed - our area of tables were seated, and served each course at the same time. But only a little, overall we had a great dinner. It's also good value for a restaurant of this type in Princeton."

"Very pretty restaurant with very good food. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and she had eaten here before. We split the Mediterranean platter, which was delicious. She had a scallop dish with pasta and I had the linguine with clams in red sauce. We sat near the fireplace in very comfortable seating. It was a great little spot and we will definitely be back. The price was reasonable too. With tip, we spent $60."

"Nice spot to dine. I ordeered Veal Saltimbucco and spouse had Chicken Francese. Chicken was Tender and delicious. Veal was too thick and tough. I prefer thin slices of tender veal instead of slabs of thicker veal."

"If you want a tasty and fun night out, Metro North is where to go. The food is amazing (try the butterfish) and the bar scene is great too. The service is wonderful and atmosphere is second to none! It is a must visit dining experience."

"Metro North boasts a beautiful interior and a very pleasant atmosphere. The food, however, does unfortunately not live up to the expectations the surroundings create. Even though all of our entrées looked very appealing, it soon became obvious that they were all extremely heavy, greasy affairs."

"Great spot for a reunion with old friends who are scattered all around the state. I haven't been to this restaurant since it was the Rusty Scupper, years ago. The location is easy to get to, and the atmosphere is really nice. I like the current decor, and the service and food were fantastic. Overall a great experience. I will go back!"

"I'm a Metro North regular at this point (big greeting from the staff the minute I walk through the door), so I'm biased, but there's a reason I go back time after time: a fantastic dining experience. Friendly, professional service; excellent food; reasonable prices; and warm ambience. Specials are always fresh and delicious, pizza crusts are thin and perfectly cooked, seafood is wonderful. Never disappoints!"
