"Took my wife and kids for Mother's Day Brunch. Of note was the woefully inept and painfully slow service. Meal was decent, but incredibly overpriced. The restaurant is very nice and charming "upstairs." Avoid brunch."

"We came here for Mother's Day brunch. It's a lovely place and the food and service are very good . But what we appreciated most was that, even though it was crowded, the tables were large and well spaced so we weren't on top of other diners. I would like to come back here for dinner sometime."

"It was our first time at the Inn. The ambience was very quaint and a good one for celebrating a milestone birthday. The service could have been more prompt and more attentive, but the food was wonderful. My husband enjoyed it."

"Nothing really special about this place, the presentation of the food was dull and almost institutional looking, lacked any real flavor (catfish entree.) No ambiance, cheap little yard sale items furnished throughout, a cheesy little candle that burned out 1/2 way through dinner, white linen tablecloth/napkins were very nice. The room looks and feels cheap and stark. Dessert was the bread pudding and was fair. For a $180 meal for 3 people, it was overpriced and wasn't worth it. The waiter was very good and really tries hard to please."

"We had a not so good experience with food a couple of weeks back. This time we had a really nice time with food and service. I asked for a "nice" martini and he suggested a raspberry martini -- it was great. Also this time we tried small plates instead of entree. We enjoyed everything."

"The buffet was very sparse..the omelette was good and so was the meat from the carving station. Everything else including dessert subpar. Fish wasn't fresh...chicken tenders and fries???? Really??? And I have never seen liquid mousse. 48 dollars per person without including mimosa/bloody Mary's. most dc area high end restaurants are much less expensive and the quality is much, much better."

"I really didn't know what to expect when I found this place close to my house. What I found was a very charming secluded gem.
The ambiance is great as a traditional restaurant. It is made up to be like a country home. The service is what you would expect at a fine dining establishment. I would expect this kind of restaurant to be a lot more expensive than what it was.
I would definitely save this place as a go to for that night out without having to go into the city."

"This lovely restaurant has an excellent and unusual menu with a good wine list. I went there with friends for a birthday celebration and it was absolutely wonderful. The decor is charming, the staff friendly and helpful, and the desserts are incredible. My friends are planning to go back for their anniversary."

"When my family and I arrived (5 min. early), our reserved table had been given to someone else. As a result, we had to wait for them to find/prepare another table. The Valentines Day 3 course meal offered too few choices and the food was "ok" at best. Not really worth the drive from Columbia!"

"My date and I ate there for Valentines Day dinner. 2 sea bass, 1 soup, 1 salad, 1 dessert and 1 bottle of wine ($40 - ok) was $176.00. Way to much for what we received. The ambiance, service & food DO NOT meet the standards for this kind of pricing. I'm a meeting planner and travel all over the U.S. and I was highly disappointed. The meal was good but not that good for that price!"

"Was my birthday treat this year and the restaurant didn't disappoint - at least until the end. We had an adorable and romantic nook, but half way through our dinner a large and noisy group was paraded past us to the adjoining room. Just gotta love hearing wanna-be's comment about how cute we looked and how very romantic our table was - right in front of us as though we were part of the decor. The restaurant's large enough, and was empty enough, they could have put them anywhere else. Restaurants - sometimes the extra steps for your servers is worth the comfort of your diners. Dinner was delicious, but desert was a let-down."

"We had been at Brookeville Farms Inn previously and had liked the food, ambiance, and service. This time we were a bit disappointed about the quality of the food. The steak was too salty and the fish (Hake) had a bad smell. The appetizers -- scallops and shrimps -- both were good and the dessert Chocolate Bomb was great."
