East meets South at CO-OP Food & Drink, a modern Japanese-American brasserie and sushi bar serving globally inspired cuisine with a southern twist that is locally sourced and meant to be shared.
Executive Chef James London (Niko, The Crow's Nest) makes dining a “creative exercise” by combining inventive Japanese-American cuisine with an authentic New York experience that indulges your soul, as much as your appetite. CO-OP pairs high quality interpretations of modern Japanese and American cuisine with an extensive selection of sushi, sashimi, and other raw items overseen by sushi chef Rio Yonathan (Megu, Sushi Nouvean, Morimoto). Drinks at CO-OP are just as much a culinary adventure as the food. Master Mixologist Max Petrich, visits local markets to source the best vegetables, fruits, and herbs to utilize in our seasonal cocktails and infusions. CO-OP also serves a full list of wines, microbrews and sakes.
"Went for dinner- food was fine but so pricey for what we ordered and the dining room energy was boring - then ou step out to the bar area to leave and you discover a full blown dance bar scene ..."

"Service was a little slow, but the food was creative and tasty. The entire restaurant was empty when we walked in at 7, but by the time we finished eating, the bar and lounge up front were packed and loud, with a DJ to match the energy."

"Too many people coming to the table asking the same questions. Not enough communication of staff to the point where we didn't even know who our server was. Were never able to finish one course before another course was brought out. Very rushed but not because it felt like they were trying to get us out of there, just zero communication. Ginger fried chicken and the co-op sushi roll were both amazing!!!"

"Food was great, atmosphere was fun. Our wait staff was very nice but food was slow from kitchen. We weren't in a rush so it didn't bother us. They made up for it with free desserts etc."

"Had a wonderful time!! The only draw-back was that the outside door opens directly into the dining area, making it a little cold in the winter. Would highly recommend the sliders. MMMMMMM the truffle parmesan fries they come with will keep me coming back again and again. Cocktails were also well proportioned and inventive. Impressive spot to take a date!"

"my family and i were disappointed over all with experience. Food was pretty good, service felt like the place was being run by hipster kids who really didn't care or know what they were doing...wouldn't recommend :("

"The vibe is very trendy, very cool. But the food is serious and doesn't stick to the Hot New Dish. A great, generously-sized restaurant week menu too. Don't miss out on dessert- the sweet potato pie is not to be missed."

"Great for a weekday dinner or to stop by for a drink on a Friday night. Beware the weekend nights get pretty busy and the bar area gets quite crowded. The bartenders are amazing and make some stellar drinks- the gin martinis are out of this world."

"The food was amazing. the grilled squid a la plancha was excellent and the fluke was bit salty but over looking that with a glass of water it was pretty good. One of the best pecan pies I've had. pecan pies are usually hard and dry - this one was just perfect soft and tasty the way i prefer it. Service was great."
