"Returned for a second visit and wasn't disappointed. Good food, service, ambience were all were all in abundant supply. Discovered that there are additional rooms for larger groups. Had the same server who is exceptional, and claimed to have remembered me! Reasonable corkage fee."

"I tried Bistango for OC Restaurant week, great menu and food was very good. Only two drawbacks for me. #1 - they were stingy with their bread. To start they give you 2 small pieces a person. When we asked for more they gave us 1 piece. Really? Why would you be stingy w/bread? I didn’t need a lot but it would have gone great with the pasta dish I had ordered. At that point we were over it, 1 piece would have to do. Drawback #2 the barley soup was just ok. It was flavorless and boring. The only flavor that I tasted was the exuberant amount of parsley they put in there. Way too much and overpowering for this tasteless soup. Despite those 2 things, overall, I enjoyed my meal, great ambiance and all the other dishes were great."

"Dinner was good but I was a bit let down. This was Valentine's Day and it felt like the establishment decided to maximize their profit in exchange for their previous broad menu and welcoming/"enjoy the evening with us" atmosphere.
There was fixed menu with various options and only one choice for dessert. Food was pretty good, but not fabulous. Each table had a paper with the table number on it. That really lowered my opinion of the place. I was expecting a waiter to be standing by my table tapping his foot and looking at his watch, waiting for us to leave so the next guests to take our spot.
I will probably go to Bistango again someday, but they sure moved down my list of places to eat."

"Three of us met for dinner and were seated at a large, comfortable booth. It was a distinct joy to hear that the bar poured Tattinger champagne by the glass and that there was a prix fixe menu at a reasonable price.

One of us ordered two appetizers to be served as a meal. They were delicious. The salad and scallops. One ordered from the prix fixe and soup and entree and dessert were of very high quality. One ordered a fish special, also excellent.

The waiter was friendly without being familiar. A very good evening. I definitely recommend this restaurant."

"Always excellent an consistent, Bistango never disappoints. This time around we split the kobe beef entree as an appetizer -- wonderful. I had the small filet of beef and my husband the salmon. As always, splitting the chocolate souffle for dessert is perfect."

"This is a charming restaurant with a lovely atrium topped with a red umbrella roof. The food and wine were excellent as was the service. A real plus is the proximity to the John Wayne Airport in Newport Beach in Orange County. I use this airport periodically and love this new restaurant find, a perfect place to have lunch with my friend before departing again. Their lunch menu had appetizers, entrees, salads, and delicious sandwiches."

"This was my first time dining here and I am quite upset that I havent eaten here before! IT WAS SOOOO GOOD! I was amazed at how fresh everything tasted, the beautiful presentation, and the quality of the ingredients. Simply Fabulous. We had the Sashimi app as well as the crab and lobster cake. And the sea bass for the entree. Divine! Cant wait to go back!"

"Bistango is one of the best restauraants in Orange County. The food is always excellent and the service does not disappoint. There have been some additions to the menu -- the peppered veal chop, which was excellent, the sea bass and we split an entree of the Kobe beef ravioli with mushrooms and shaved parmesan -- excellent. The chocolate souffle is the best dessert on the menu. Bistango has also lowered its prices on many of the items."
