Rocco's Tacos and Tequila Bar serves the best authentic, fresh, and reasonably priced Mexican food featuring the simple recipes of everyday Mexican life. "Took my mom for mother's day, it was my family's first time eating at Rocco's. They all loved it, their menu is great and the guac was a hit.
We made for lunch and although they have a great bar and music, during lunch hour the restaurant was very family friendly."

"We took the whole family including a 4 year old and a 4 month old to Rocco's for a mother's day lunch. Food was great, service was good and the meal came out promptly which is important with the kids. The special ceviche app was great with fresh mahi. Was pleasantly surprised to receive a whole plate of fish, scallops and shrimp with the app rather than just a few pieces in a martini glass."

"This is the 4th time we've been to Rocco's and every time it's been fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant for bringing out of town guests to, or for special occasions. Be prepared to spend about $25-$30 a person including drinks and the guacamole (you have to get the guacamole)."

"I thought it was more of an upscale restaurant, but you had the swim trunks, bikinis, and baseball hats that made it feel like a frat bar. Our server made a brief appearance for drink/menu orders then disappeared until we were almost done with our food. I had to ask the hostess to send her over so we could have some refills on coke and tortilla chips. The friendliest and best experience was with the "guacamole cart" guy! This was our second visit here in 2 years, since we live in Illinois. First time was great, second time not so much."

"While the food is average the ambience and fun level is awesome! Definitely go with friends for drinks (margaritas are sooo good!) and guac (also very good and they make it fresh right at your table!!) and possibly some apps. I ordered an appetizer salad which wasn't great because of it's fishy taste while the menu noted nothing fishy in it; also ordered a chicken taco and a blackend mahi taco which were just average unfortunately. However, the chips, guac, and margaritas will have me coming back for more! Went on a saturday night which was very lively and had a DJ pumping loud party music in the corner which makes this a great place to go if you're over the club scene but want tasty drinks and fun music!"

"Went there as a birthday celebration with girlfriends. we could tolerate the noise until 9 pm - luckily we had finished eating - when it got really loud! the pitcher of margaritas was tasty, but weak...did they want us to buy more? our waitress was awesome and fun and the tableside guacamole was superb. Ordered the churros for dessert (some in my party had never had churros before, can you believe it?) and it came with a candle and was so yummy. a truly fun night with my friends. it was a beautiful night in south florida so we strolled Las Olas - the location is fantastic. I would totally go again!"

"Made reservation through open table..showed them my confirmation reservation email but no matter, they couldnt find it and didnt honor it so we waited for an hour for a table. There are worse things I guess but it was annoying. So we only ordered an app not dinner as planned and we moved on. We will only have drinks&guac in the future. No more waiting for dinner. Sorry."

"Nothing special for all the hype. Maybe I came at a time where there was not much going on. Came with a group of 4 with reservations on a Sunday night. Had Valet parking which is a mandatory $5 at time of parking. There is self parking around the block though (found that out after the fact). Also, They were taking CASH ONLY at the time because their machines were broken down so we had to go to the ATM. Not sure who carries that much cash on them to begin with. Bar scene was pretty cool. Has an open area looking out on Las Olas Blvd. Food was just all right. Really hearty for my husband's and my taste. Guacamole at table is a hefty fee. Not sure that is too explicit on their website. Oh yes and their salsa and chips are amazing!"

"It's sometimes hit or miss with Rocco's like calling that snobby friend who looks down on you and you wonder, "Why did I bother?" I made a reservation for my wife's birthday online but had to call to change the reservation from 6 to 9 people. The host's curt remark was, "Okay, but I can't increase it any more that that." I am in the business and my first thought was, "Really? Superbowl Sunday and it will be dead and you think you can't accommodate an extra body showing up?"
Our visit wasn't without incident, but the server and manager both took steps to make it right. Ultimately the birthday girl had a good time."
