"Colombini is a cozy, little, probably the most authentic italian restaurant we have seen in the Bay Area so far.
Authentic in all aspects, menue, environment and service. The menu and the wine card fit on two pages each. As we were a bunch of 7 people we got quite a junk of the offer.
Not to miss is the Minestrone, the Vitello a Marsalla and the Cherry Tiramisu together with the Espresso.
The place must be pretty quite, may be not with us being there, just enjoyed ourselves with wonderful food and wine.
Next time we will spend the night at the Nobhill Hotel."

"Our main complaint was the slow service. Yes, it was our server's first day, but it took a really long time - 25 min?- to let us know that one of the 4 entrees ordered was not available. Once the food came, it was very good. The dining room is charming."

"This restaurant is in a hotel, but it isn't the hotel's business. There are only about ten tables with a small bar. My husband and I both had the Ceasar salad with was very good. I had the lasagna which was excellent and my husband had a fish dish which he enjoyed. We were the only people until another couple came in. The server was ok, but didn't do anything extra. Didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert or coffee. It just seemed odd."

"I had the veal, and it was overcooked but tasted okay. My date ordered lasagna, but they ran out of the lasagna (our reservations were at 8pm when they ran out). Our server didn't clean the table or have the table set before we sat down. I had to ask for napkins, utensils, and plates. The ambiance and decor is nice, but other than that the place was average at best."
