"I reserved dinner for my family at Black Finn to celebrate my birthday. It was the first time any of them had dined there. I've been there several times, mostly for lunch and happy hour. We had a reservation and the place was it's typical busy Friday night. Our server was great and the staff were attentive. The only disappointment was the food. My grandfather had the swordfish but the pasta was too cold and sent it back. My mom had the shrimp salad but it was too salty and the shrimp wasn't cooked very well. I had the chicken stir fry and the snow peas were undercooked. It was also missing flavor. My family and I are not very not picky with food but this was disappointing since we don't have dinner often."

"Typically when we go to BlackFinn, we receive a stellar experience, however this was not one of those times. After ordering food, waited over an hour and a half for the food to arrive. No explanation was given, only slight apologies. Will not be going back for brunch and will question if we go back at all. With two small children, it was a disappointing experience to say the least."

"had a reservation for 1230 for a special lunch with familyon Mothers Day.promptly were seated,promply took our drink and appitizer order. They all came out in atimely manner. We ordered our lunch and it went downhill from there. I and 1/2 hours later and still no food. We watched the same with everyone around us. With exception of couple of tables that came and went after us. Manager spent her time giving stuff away as the wait continued. Waitress was great but it was obviuos poor management allowed too many seatings and slow kitchen. I've been here several times before and always had good service. Hope management learned. I will not be back for special occasions."

"It was Mother's Day so the place was beyond packed. We had a reservation, so we didn't have to endure the 1 1/2 hour wait that others had. We were seated in minutes of our arrival. There was a 45 minute wait for food after you ordered. I would like to go again on a normal evening and see how it is when its not one of the busiest restaurant days of the year. Food was delicious. Fresh and tasty."

"I was not impressed with the food for brunch. I have been here many times for lunch but this experience was poor. I had to wait over an hour for food on mother's day brunch and when it arrived, the quality was not what it should have been. Very disappointed."

"We went to celebrate my wife's birthday as noted in our reservation - we never were made to feel like it was a special occassion. We were put in the bar which was noisy - my previous visit was in the main dining room which was much better. Our waitress was forgetful. Our beverages were incorrect, had to ask for sweetener twice and then wait 10 minutes to finally get it, steak knife showed up mid-way through meal, To-Go box never arrived. The food was decent but the Blackened Brie was overrated and overpriced, the Chopped Salad was drowned in dressing and the Irish Coffee was just black coffee and whiskey. The poor service and lack of ambiance ruined a special occassion and removed this restaurant from my list."

"My husband and I were underwhelmed by the food. We started with the Mediterranean plate, which was just okay. I had the chicken and broccoli tortellini and he had the Bourbon burger. Both were also just okay. Sort of like an Applebee's dinner, it's not awful but it's nothing to write home about. Except for the French fries - those are excellent, perfectly crunchy. I would come back here for drinks and to watch a game, but probably not for a sit-down dinner again."

"My husband and I had Easter Brunch on this visit. We shared the fruit platter and what was basically a scrambled egg filled burrito (I forget the name). There was a nice variety of sliced fruit and "strawberry yogurt" was actuall greek yogurt, with fresh berries diced in it - yum! The burrito was filled with eggs, cheese and black beans. It was quite tastey. Ofcourse, we also enjoyed the bottomless Bloody Mary's and Mimosa's. I will be making a reservation for this coming Sunday moments from now."

"Food great for lunch. Portion size a little small. Service could be a little faster for lunch, if I were there for dinner, the wait would have been okay but we were on our lunch hour, granted we did wait to order because it was our first time. Great menu selection prices terrific for lunch, am planning on going this week with another friend. I did specifically request a table, they ignored that request and sat us in a booth, which was not good since I have a disability and getting in and out of booths is difficult for me. Great selection for lunch. Salad was so fresh it was like they just picked the Romaine! The shrimp flatbread was so good, I wanted more! Compliments to the chef!!!! Recommend!!!"

"This is my second time dining at BlackFinn. I decided to try the restaurant again in order to be fair in my assessment. The service was excellent; the ambiance was wonderful. However, I have the same complaint that I originally had when I ate there. The menu item I choose was delicious. As was my first experience, though, the food was warm, not hot. I don't know why the kitchen chooses to send out food that is barely warm. The first time I visited, I had a steak. The second time was the bacon-wrapped meatloaf. Both dishes were good, but would have been great had they been served at a hotter temperature. Also, this is the first restaurant I have been to that doesn't offer bread service."

"This was our first time at BlackFinn but we had heard good things. We sat at the bar for a drink before dinner and chatted with the bar tender - who we knew from another restuarant. The service was on par. We order the hummas fir an appetizer and really enjoyed it. The fish tacos are made with halibut, which is my favorite fish, so we had those for dinner (my husband and I always share a meal). They were okay, but I was disappointed because the fish was battered and fried, not grilled. For dessert we had "hot chocolate" which rates in the top 2 or 3 of my "I could eat another one of those all by myself" treats. It is a warm chocolate cake, with peanut butter served in an extra large coffee mug with vanilla ice cream on top. Worth it!"

"It was too cold to eat outside so my friend and I sat at a high top in the bar. Not our first choice since I had made reservations in advance, but it was OK. The Friday lunch special, crab cake sliders, was delicious and I was happy to be able to swap out the fries for a different side -- steamed broccoli in this case. My friend enjoyed a bowl of the French Onion soup. Lunch prices are reasonable here relative to other places at the Town Center. And the food is always very good."

"This was my first and last visit. With so many dining options Blackfinn failed to wow me. Despite reservations, I waited an additional 30 min to be seated. Service lacked urgency and was very routine. I never felt like the waiter was truly interested in providing a dining experience the caliber of what I expected from a restaurant like this one. Food was warm but seemed like it was not served immediately after it was prepared and flavors didn't offer enough to bring me back because the good was good. Not my worst dining experience but no where near my expectations; especially to celebratemy friends birthday."

"Server was not focused on our order. He was distracted by something or someone else. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time and the drinks took forever for two people in our party. I ordered a hamburger medium well and it was presented to my table as medium rare. My grandson ordered a kids meal with dessert and the server said only "ice cream and chocolate syrup" were available. A cup of vanilla ice cream was brought to the table - w/o a spoon. It took a while for the server to follow-up and the ice cream was beginning to melt by then. After presenting the bill to us, he asked if I wanted a refill on my unsweet ice tea. My grandson got chocolate milk and only one glass."

"The food is awesome! Definitely. Try the Chilean Sea Bass. It was the best that I've ever had. The Saloon was excellent as you can just walk right from the restaurant into a bar scene. The DJ had my friends and I dancing all night!"

"My husband and I were dissappointed. It was our first and last visit. Our crab cakes were so so. I had the pork chop which was very under cooked and the greens that vame on the side were bitter and lacked flavor. The sweet potato mash was the only thing edible on my plate. My husband tried the herb crusted steak and couldn't get past the awful smell and fat. I can say our waiter was very accommodating and that's rhe only good from the entire evening."
