Tao Restaurant and Nightclub
Guests are transported from the City of Sin to the Pacific Rim inside TAO Asian Bistro, a 44,000 square-foot, multi-story “Asian City” housing a restaurant, banquet facilities, lounge and nightclub. Lush velvets and silks, waterfalls and century-old woods and stones accentuate the experience, and the restaurant’s signature 20-foot Buddha watches over every corner of the restaurant while floating peacefully above an infinity pool complete with Japanese koi.
Corporate Executive Chef Ralph Scamardella has developed a menu for the 400-seat restaurant by incorporating culinary components from China, Japan and Thailand. Signature dishes include offerings from sea, sky and land including Chilean Sea Bass Satay with Wok Roasted Asparagus, a preparation of Peking Duck that consistently receives accolades, and Kobe Beef Shabu Shabu along with a full sushi bar.

"This was our second time dining at Tao and we have learned to order multiple dishes and share their tasty creations. This time we dined on the Red Snapper and the Miso-glazed Chilean Sea Bass, just fantastic and so delicious. As a side we ordered the Fried Rice with Pork and Duck, and as a starter the Duck Spring Rolls. Our waiter talked us into the donuts with the three dipping sauces for dessert, definitely not to be missed. Really a wonderful dining experience."

"For spending $25 plus on any entree the service should of been great. Instead we had to wait 20 mins for our waiter to come take our order. He never introduced himself, never went over the drink or food menu, and never asked if we wanted drink refills. Only reason why we stayed that long was due to another serve who came and brought us water and edamame."

"We didn't get sat tell 20 mins after reservation. The 1st time we were walked to a table that wasn't ready then were told to sit back in the lounge to wait to be buzzed again. 10 mins later we were sat at a table that got bumped atleast 5 times. Not the best night at all and it was my gf and I anniversary. When spending the kind of money we spent I feel it should have been a much better night."

"We just got back from Vegas and this was by far the best restaurant we ate it. The food was delicious and there were so many other things on the menu I wish I could have tried. The tuna tartare appetizer was incredible! Cool ambiance, great service! Price was somewhat high but not really compared to everything in Las Vegas. We will definitely go here again!"

"6:45pm reservation but kept waitng 30 mins w/important and weary customer group who had spent the day walking a trade show, now forced to stand for another 30 mins at the front entrance. Staff was apologetic and obviously overwhelmed. Atmosphere fanastic and food very good. If you have loads of time i highly recommend. If you have a fidgety companion or important business group in a hurry, go somewhere else on a tight schedule."

"We had a great night there. The food was awesome and there was plenty of it. We certainly didn't leave hungry. The decor was great and there was a great atmosphere.
I will warn you it was loud in there though and we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated even though we'd booked a table. The staff were really friendly but the service was a little slow. Having said that we would definitely go back."

"I had an Open Table reservation but was made to wait 40 minutes while they soaked up the large EMC tech company party throughout the entire place...shows small fish can get crushed......otherwise food was excellent and they did comp one round of drinks for the inconvenience! No more panko crusted Ahi tuna roll? Swear they never had it....must have been somewhere else I ate it...."

"My girlfriend and I dined here on our last night in Vegas. I had been to Tao a couple years ago and it was even better than I remembered. The food tasted very fresh and was bursting with flavor - I had the wasabi crusted filet and my gf had the Thai roasted chicken. We also split the pork spring rolls and an order of the vegetable fried rice. We really enjoyed everything. Their cocktails were great too. It was our favorite meal of our trip!"

"This place left a bitter taste. The service was horrible. Our server was so, so, so rude. He was not interested in helping or being their. He made us feel horrible. He couldn't suggest anything from the menu. Never came to ask how the food was and if we needed anything. When he brought out the food, we had empty glasses, never bothered to fill them up, or at least get someone else to. I am very patient, and if the place is busy, or he was, I would understand. But he had the nerve to stand at the back like an idiot. The only thing he was fast at was bringing the check. He stood behind us the whole time for that. The food was blend. Lean Cuisine tastes better. There are a lot of good options in Vegas, and this shouldn't be on anyone's list."

"Great restaurant, food and service. We had a group of 8 at one table and decided to go with the tasting menu. It was spectacular, gave us a great sample of many of their most popular dishes. We were not dissapointed with anything. Asked the staff for a recommendation of a bottle of cold Sake, and everyone enjoyed it.
Would recommend this place to anyone, unless you are looking for a quiet, romantic dinner."

"I met an old professional friend for a "catch up" dinner. I have to admit I was a bit worried that the overall Tao scene would be too noisy for casual conversation. I was wrong! Great food ... appetizers with great choices and range of food types ... dinner entries were wonderful!! I would recommend an evening dinner at Tao to anyone. I found it a great choice and one that I wish I had made before this trip, as I have been to Vegas many times."

"Food is delicious and the place is really nice. Although I was very disappointed with the service. I booked for a table and only 1 hour after I was sited at the table. During the 1 hour waiting no one gave any justification or apologize for the waiting period. I tried the location in NYC and it happened the same...waited during 1 hour to be sited. The food is great, but the service and disrespect for the customers is extremely unpleasant, specially considering the prices of the restaurant."

"We were a group of 6 on a Friday night-- we were brought to our table upon arrival we had a reservation), but had to stand around awkwardly for about 5-8 min. while they set the table. We were seated in a really busy section of the restaurant. Our waiter was friendly until he realized we weren't going to order the chef's selection, c. $65-75/pp. After that he was a bit snooty and rude-- and rushed us out the door after our meal. The food, however, was excellent. The veggie dumplings were light and delicious and my red curry scallops were spicy and flavorful. Despite our waiter, we had a great time at Tao."

"Tao was amazing. I couldn't get enough of the Chilean Sea Bass. I HIGHLY recommend it. We also had the chicken gyoza and lobster wontons. The gyoza was pretty good but nothing special. The wontons are a must! In addition to the good food, the service was great, and I loved the vibrant atmosphere. If you plan to go to the nightclub, be sure to order an entree for free admission -- definitely a good way to save some $$. The nightclub was a great time - awesome music and everyone there to have a great night. If you are going to Vegas, add this to your list."

"left my AMEX by accident reservation under open table . TAO has my cell phone number and my name on credit card that I used for the reservation. They called me to confirm reservation. I called to see if I left the card. They had logged the card in that it was found. They never told me that when I called they hung up on me twice and then told me they were to busy to have a manager check the safe to see if they had the card even though they had logged it in on a sheet.
It took two days before I could get confirmation even though I left my phone number. I just showed up and demanded someone check TWO FULL DAYS before I could obtain my card back. Its Vegas this place is open all day all night. its inexcusible."

"Absolutely gorgeous restaurant located at the Venetian. The décor is incredible and although the restaurant is big, it’s still intimate because the tables are located on different levels. We had the lobster wontons in broth and both ordered the wasabi crusted filet. Excellent food bursting with flavor. My husband normally doesn’t eat seafood and he loved the lobster wontons. With the purchase of a main entrée, you do get access to the nightclub, but we were too tired to go at the end of the day. Servers are very knowledgeable and professional. Hostesses are gorgeous but very friendly."

"30 min waiting for a table and another 25 min to place the order. The answer from the waiter was: "there are other cusotmers ... if you want I can bring the meneger to talk with you..." I took friends to TAO, that is why it is so dissapointing"
