"Sushi Rock has been good for years but the experience this night was less than stellar. The removal of the bone-in ribeye from the menu was a bit of a disappointment as was the service. The drinks were lackluster and the sushi was not prepared as well as I remember. The food was good but not excellent as I remember"

"This was my first time at Sushi Rock and it was horendous! First, the lady that seated us had a dress on that barely covered her back side and our server was extremely slow. If these were the only issues, we would have laughed about it and moved on with the evening but the food was garbage. My husband ordered a chicken dish which comes with mashed potatoes. The potatoes looked like bad baby food and, even before being served with the dish, the server told my husband that the manager was cooking as the head line chef didn't show up and that if he didn't like the potatoes, he could get another side. The fish eggs on our roll were old. They should pop when you eat them and these were like old grapes. We will not ever go back to Sushi Rock."

"After being at Sushi Rock more than 10x, I am livid after my last experience. Had reservations for 6:15pm for Tsunami night. After being seated -- the waiter did not introduce himself, rushed our drink/appetizer orders. He did not even bring glasses of water to the table, nor offer it. The restaurant was only 40% full, so there was no issue of being "busy". When he brought the bill -- we were overcharged for one of the rolls -- because the paper said $14, but we were charged $18. When he brought the receipt back, he did not ask if the bill was correct. Furthermore the new bill had a credit for the difference but the discount for Tsunami night rolls were removed. UNACCEPTABLE Customer Service. The guy should be fired. No tip was given."

"I just go here for the sushi on tsunami night and I'm usually satisfied. This time I got the yellow tail along with a couple other rolls. I love the spicy tuna, but the yellow tail had a fishy taste. I wouldn't get it again. This isn't the place to go if you want to talk because the music is quite loud. Its a decent place to go for sushi at half-price."

"The server was nice but we specifically asked jim to bring our apps and entrees together as some of the group was eating an app as an entree. That didn't happen and he said he was sorry. We wanted to eat as a family and wasn't able to. he blamed the kitchen?"

"I usually LOVE going to Sushi Rock, but this ended up being a horrible experience! I had persuaded friends that don't like sushi to join me, telling them the menu was extensive. They were literally out of EVERYTHING!! From steaks, to meatballs to the coffee creamer ... The list seemed to be endless. Every time someone from our table asked for something from the menu they seemed to be out of it. Two people had to drink black coffee. Really? Someone couldn't go to a grocery store for some milk for the restaurant?! Then the lighting was so poor nobody could read their menus. It took 20 minutes to get the waiter to turn the lights up enough so we could see each other, our menus and eventually our food. We will not return."

"We were seated immediately upon arrival. I was surprised at the crowd given that it was a Wednesday night. Although the food was good, I wasn't thrilled with the environment. Our table for two was tiny and jammed between two others that were very close to one another. The entire restaurant was really quite loud, so we had to shout at each other to be heard. The closeness of other guests and the need to shout made me very self-conscious about other people hearing our conversation. I would suggest more distance between the tables. Our server was great and the food was good."

"Ok, I stated in a previous review that i would never sit at the tables again bc the service is so horrible but I decided to try again. NEVER AGAIN! We arrived for our reservation at 4:45 & were sat promptly but we literally waited till 4:58 and no one had come over yet. This happened the last time we were there too. We just moved to the bar where the service was good. I will not be returning to Sushi Rock though. Its really aggravating how bad the wait staff. Its too pricey to keep returning to a place that doesnt care. Although i know the young lady at the bar was getting off work but i tried to tell her about the table and she chuckled and left. Good food, good BAR service but not worth it!!"

"The food is of reasonable quality but prepared and presented in a very pedestrian way for a restaurant that charges as much as any of the higher end independent restaurants in Cleveland. The seared tuna entree was a large single block of tuna sitting on a few spears of asparagus with a bit of sauce on the dish. the lobster bisque had no discernable pieces of lobster-- you can find better at Costco. The sushi was OK but go to Pacific East or Shu Hei if you want better sushi at a lower price."

"The sushi was not good at all. The rice was way to sticky and it was just bland. The calamari was very good as always though. I am not sure if it was just a bad batch of sushi or not but in my opinion it was not good."

"Lack of attentive wait staff. We heard how busy and overworked our waitress was, often. She was rude and we told her sio. Where was the manager? Dishes were left on our table from appetizers, we had to ask the wait staff to remove the used dishes. We had to flag down waitstaff (not our waitress) to provide us refills of our drinks. Wow! I don't think we have ever felt so UNWELCOMED! A terrible experience! Food was good but sorry, cannot recommend SushiRock due to the lack of professional wait staff."

"Wonderful sushi. Only complaints were that it was very loud, and service was slow. This was definitely not our server's fault -- she was amazing, but it was clear the restaurant was very crowded and understaffed. Nonetheless, we will be back!!!"
