676 Restaurant focuses on using ingredients from Midwest and local farmers whenever possible. The fare is approachable, organic and sustainable - local food treated the way it was intended.Chef accentuates the food selection with an ever changing selection of hand-made house charcuterie, honey from his own hive, produce from rooftop gardens located on the sundeck at the Omni Chicago Hotel and pork from the exclusive Acorn Edition IV pig out of Norwalk, Iowa. Chef and his culinary team’s dishes will bring back memories of fishing from the dock for bluegill, hunting game in the north woods, summers spent picking apples from the orchard trees hoping not to get caught and standing in awe at the plethora of jarred food under grandma’s basement stairs. That is the Midwest. That is 676. With unparalleled views of Chicago’s famous Magnificent Mile, this unique restaurant experience is augmented with rustic touches, communal plates and a bit of nostalgia of the foods you remember as a kid.
"The food and service were excellent. I was a little disappointed that the restaruant was sort of empty, but it was a Monday night. I recommend trying the flatbread pizza and the kale salad!"

"We were looking for a place for brunch, 676 Restaurant had a good looking menu so we gave it a try. The food and service were great, I had the PB & J waffle panini which was as amazing at it sounds. We also got a few cheeses from their selection, they all came paired with a spread (the bacon jam with the aged cheddar was a perfect match)."

"We had a special occasion Mothers Day/Birthday on May 12th, 2013. I made reservations for 10 on thisbusy day for the special brunch. At the last minute we had an unexpected addition of 4 people to our group. I contacted the manager (matt?) a couple hours ahead of time and even though they were sold out for weeks, he was able to fit the additional people in. The food selectiona dn preparation was out of this world! We are still talking about it as being one of the best we have ever had. Hats off to all of you!"

"I've been here a few times before, thus returned for a special occasion. As usual, 676 didn't disappoint. The minute we entered the lobby, a friendly face greeted us. WE sat at the bar as we arrived a bit early for our table. Dave who greeted us invited to sit and the bar and we did. Very friendly server at the bar too as she related so well with us. Time flew by as we enjoyed the entire atmosphere. We were shown our table and had a fantastic time. Jorge was very knowledgeable on the menu and his suggestions were 'spot on.! Again, we had a fantastic view over the Mag Mile and it was ever so tranquil. Thank you guys/girls! I will be more than happy to return and certainly recommend Restaurant 676 to family and friends!"

"food was awesome. however, we needed to be at a show in time, and our food came with about 10 minutes left before we had to leave. that was a bummer considering how much everything cost."

"Every thing was outstanding with respect to food and service. My wife, who is quite short, found the elevated swivel chairs somewhat uncomfortable because she couldn't reach the footrest easily. But we liked very much the spaciousness that made us feel we were dining almost by outselves (a group of 5)."

"Excellent brunch. I especially appreciated the availability of some gluten-free baked goods. Great omelet (can do egg whites if you prefer). Lots of good cheeses and meats, classy yogurt and very fine fruit. And more. For $20 it was a great deal. We asked for and got a table by the windows. Great pre-play event."

"I've given reviews for 676 Bar & Restaurant before, so let me just repeat myself. Fabulous, wonderful. . . they never, ever disappoint! Changing the menu seasonally is a delight, and my husband & I always look forward to being pleasantly surprised as to what the chef will think of next!! Tonight I started with the Grilled Pear salad. Delicious (I may say that word a few more times!)!! Loved the light grill flavor on the poached pear, and the honey yogurt dressing was a perfect accompaniment. Lamb chops were out of this world and my husband thuroughly enjoyed the tender ribeye with Goose Island IPA mac & cheese. Delicious and not so filling. I don't know why we didn't order dessert!!"

"I requested a seat with a view for a party of seven. I was pretty certain they would not be able to accomadate us on this but was happy to find that they did. We had a beautiful city view and wonderful food with a waiter who was very knowledgeable about their menu!! Great hotel and great restaurant."

"We pick a new place to dine when we visit Chicago, about 3 times each year - this trip we liked that we had options for "local and organic" food options and 676 Restaurant was our choice. The setting was a bit too bar-like but was fine. We loved the selection of cheeses and home made sausages. However the portions were small for the price. A nice addition was the matched jelly and toppings for each cheese / meat.
Dinner was good overall. Two of us had the salmon - excellent and local caught from Great Lakes. The shrimp pizza was creative and tasty. The potato soup was a challenge for anyone that doesn't appreciate "deconstructed presentation "; the flavor was just ok.
We like the desserts with the bread pudding being the most t"

"We had a lunch during the 2013 restaurant week and went for the special pre-fix menu, that was not very impressive in selection. Frankly, the presentation was more notable than the food: a trio selection of charcuterie and cheeses (not too much cooking here) and very basic sandwiches. Desserts were better – it tells something about the kitchen. A view out the windows is nice and the lunch atmosphere was very quiet, so this visit was not a complete disappointment, but it’s unlikely I’ll choose it again."

"676 Restaurant is officially our favorite restaurant. You would not think of going to a hotel just to eat, but this is the exception (we've never stayed in the Omni Hotel)! This was our second time dining here and we just absolutely love it. The food is the most flavorful food you will find. You have to try the appetizer pairings. We had the brie, cheddar, blue, smoked salmon, buffalo sausage and lamb bacon. We also had the beer and cheddar soup. For dinner we both had the steak. Everything is cooked to perfection and the food presentation was excellent. The service was outstanding. We HIGHLY recommend that you try 676 Restaurant."

"Went to 676 for dinner during restaurant week and it has been the best dining experience in a very long time. Local ingredients, great presentation and excellent flavor in all dishes. Service was also very good, from the server George to the manager Ricardo who particularly impressed me with his quality of service and knowledge. Will definitely recommend."
