"This restaurant was pretty good, but I think I would choose North over this restaurant for Northern Italian food. The food and atmosphere just made it average. I feel our money would have been better spent elsewhere."

"Have been here several times - always good. Their pasta-less lasagne is unusual/ excellent.
For the restaurant: 1) I made an advanced reservation for 2 - a weeknight at 7. On arriving, the only spots 'to choose from' were a small table in the bar area or the 2 top booth by the door (nosy children in next table). The two young hostesses weren't the least bit interested in my concern. Not a good first impression. 2) ongoing 'issue': food is well priced for dinner,it's a good place for a casual dinner. But winebottle prices skew high & don't match the meal 'value' . This has also been a complaint when there with a group of 6-8; wine cost way exceeds food cost - as a result the group that I dine out with doesn't like to return."

"Tiffany, our server, provided a great recommendation for a red wine (I don't usually like reds, but her choice was great) and was very good about knowing when to check in on us and when to let us be. Food was very flavorful and smart proportionate sizes - not too small and not huge. I was surprised to see several families with young kids there as well - I wasn't anticipating that and good to know it will be an option for me to bring my own kids there sometime. Will returning to this restaurant again in the future."

"I came here with my fiance to celebrate my birthday with what would hopefully be a yummy dinner. I was seeking a quiet romantic atmosphere and a delicious but affordable meal. It was perfect. We had a baked goat cheese appetizer, wonderful merlot wine, sausage pizza, "pastaless" lasagna (eggplant-based), and a peach bread pudding. All of these dishes were delicious - obviously fresh and high quality and also warming - still feeling the chill in the air from a recent snowstorm, this was really great. We were full and happy heading out and will definitely return. Our server was also super - she came around often to check on us but wasn't imposing and didn't try to hurry us, and also helped us well with our meal questions."

Service was friendly and attentive without being pretentious or too familiar. My only negative comment is the noise level made it hard to talk to the other couple with us that night. I would eat there again if we sat at the patio."

"My (false) intial expectation of Cucina Colore was it was going to be nothing special. The menu features a lot of standard Italian fare you'd expect. However, having dined here three times now (both for lunch and dinner) I do have to say the food is excellent and the staff are great, engaging and helpful. The wine selection our waiter made was great and he was attentive and super helpful, despite the fact that the place was packed on a Friday night. My dinner was prepared well and exactly what we were craving. I will be back."

"This was my first time at Cucine Colore. The food was very good and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. My soup and salad were just the right amount of food for lunch and the soup was delicious! My only complaint was the waiter. Nice enough fellow, but he certainly had an odd and borderline unacceptable way about him...he reached across the front of me several times during my meal to fill my water glass or to give me my soup spoon. I eat out alot and have never had this happen and frankly it was grossly inappropriate and uncomfortable. As I was at a business lunch, I decided to keep quiet, so I was surprised when both of my lunch companions commented that they'd never seen anything quite like it themselves. Oh well, the food was good."

"We went for restaurant week and had a lovely dinner. Food was great although service was a little inconsistent at first, it picked up as our dinner progressed. I was surprised at the generous portions. Great night - highly recommended!"

"Been dining at Cucina Colore since its opening many years ago. My visits have been uniformly excellent. Great for out of town guests. Terrific for romantic special occasions. Great for just a random night out of fine dining. Staff & chefs will always prepare a dish to diner's specs. Food served hot and tasty. Staff always attentive, but not too intrusive. Bread pudding...to die for!"

"First, we had a reservation for 7:30 PM to which we promptly arrived. We were told that it would be at least another 15 minutes for us to be seated, so we walked around the neighborhood. We can back at 7:45 and were told that we should stay in the restaurant because if we were called and not around our reservation would be skipped. We waited another 15 minutes (until 8:00 PM for our 7:30 PM reservation) to be seated. Our server was very kind and attentive. The food is mediocre at best - our salads were good, our pasta dinners were basic, OK, but nothing notable. The restaurant was not worth the hassle of poor attention to the schedule. I don't recommend."

"The food is always great, to me its been the service the last 3 times ive been here. Each time ive had a reservation and my table hasnt been ready for a minimum of 30 minutes. They dont know how to schedule, generally a reservation doesnt mean anything to them. In fact waited so long at their average bar with overpriced wine (which is likely the intent) that they no longer had us in their system. I have never written a negative review before, it takes an aweful lot. I fully anticipated my drinks or dessert to be comped as I come fairly frequently. Again, they have very good food. It just seems like they have weak management, not once did I see the manager unless one of them was the host. Right now they seem to be about the scene and money."
