Known for its authentic Northern Italian cuisine, the new Armani’s restaurant features a fresh, sophisticated design and an atmosphere ideal for a romantic dinner for two, a get-together with friends or an upscale business function. "Everything was just as I had hoped, except one thing. One small thing. From our table, my wife and I could see into the service area through a partially drawn drape. So I had a glimpse of the dry erase board all night. We probably had one of three tables with this view. Otherwise, an excellent choice for a special occasion. For light eaters get a chef selection of the antipasti bar and wine... Perfect!"

"My wife and I had not been to Armani's in many years and to celebrate Mother's day we returned and were very happy. The restaurant had been renovated along with the bar area and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. The only wish was that a separate area could be provided for groups such as weddings or showers as a group like this was also present and had a very unhappy baby that was taken in an dout for about 1 hour due to crying."

"We had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt in Tampa for 4 nights earlier this month and very much enjoyed our stay. Our anniversary was on a Friday evening and we had made a reservation via the internet prior to arriving in Florida. We were seated promptly and escorted to a table overlooking the bay. Our server and her assistant were very much accommodating. The service was excellent, food as well and our experience at Armani's was a great one."

"Yet another delicous dinner here started with the caprese salad with homemade buffallo mozzarella, assorted tomatos & a balsamic glaze, delicious. Then moved onto the tagliatalle bolonese for a main course which is my absolute favorite. They do it right here, The food is delicious, the view incredible and the service is outstanding! Live paino music in the lounge on the weekends is just the icing on the cake. Speaking of, the desserts here are to die for as well!"

"Armani's does not have real booths and even though I requested a booth, I believe I should have been told prior to my arrival that there were no booths. Arrived at 8:06 pm for a 8:15 pm reservation. We were not seated until 8:50 p.m. Anti Pesto bar was terrible. Long wait between courses and once our entree was finally served, the waiter never came around until we were almost finished with dessert. He never once asked how the entree's were. If it was not for the lady that served our water/coffee, etc. we would not have had any attention whatsoever. She was very attention and had a pleasant personality. She should have been our waitress."

"It was a great evening and the prices were quite reasonable for such a classy place. I will be returning regularly with my special date mates. My waiter, John, was very knowlegable about the menu and was patient, polite, professional, but best of all not pushy. The music was just enough in the backround, reminding you were in a special place."

"Had a 7:00 reservation, checked in and told to go to the bar and would let me know when my table would be ready. 7:20 asked when that would be and the response was oh about another hour or so!!! Was offered an inside table (Not on the Window) which my quests said it would be OK. Food was fair at best. Was told Jacket was required so my (out of Town guests) had them on. People had on shorts, Jeans, t-Shirts Etc. Etc. Very Loud."

"The experience of Armani's is always amazing. With a beautiful sunset view and attention to every detail, there are few places like it in Tampa Bay. Armani's is gluten-friendly, which is a bonus for those with with restrictions. There aren't many lovely venues that are so accomodating."

"The restaurant is obviously trying - but our evening started when the waiter who took our order had never heard of our drinks - and even the bartender had to ask!
The food varied from good (meat) to uninspiring (vegetarian plate that was just risotto). Service was OK but could have been more attentive.

"This was an overall good experience. The location is fanatastic with the panoramic views. I considered the food and wines to be rather exceedingly expensive for the portions received. It was an overall nice meal but, I think there are other places that are just as good without the enormous price tag attached. The service was very good as was the overall ambiance."

"I was disappointed to find that Armani's has a clientelle included families with small children and even babies. I guess you should expect this since it is located as part ofthe Hyatt hotel. This distracts from it being a destination for special "adult" romantic dinner. The service use to be impeccable and I found it much like any other restaurant. The outside patio is very nice; however, there is no drink service which requires you to walk through the restaurant to the front bar area to obtain a drink. I was told that they plan to add drink service. Their "famous" antipasta "chef's choice" presentation was lacking that special touch, the small plate which made it difficult to discern the diffent items."

"I had the Veal Shank and it was tender and flavorful. If you're hungry, this is a large portion. Chocolate cake for desert was rich and just the right size. As always, service was excellent. The staff conveys a real desire to find a dish that matches our desires, even offering to customize dishes or create new ones. This usually is a sign that there is a good relationship between the front and back of the house. We also tried the Antipasto Misto, where you can go up and a chef prepares an Antipasto plate per our requests. The clams with sambucca vinaigrette; were one of the things I liked, that I probably wouldn't have tried had it not been an offering here. We had 10 or 12 items: cheeses, meats and shellfish that gave a nice tasting."

"This is the second time we have eaten at Armani's. The first time, we ate from a Prix Fixe Menu. This time we ordered from the regular menu. The food was good, the service was prompt and attentive, and the ambiance was amazing. Armani's has also added a rooftop patio, complete with a fire pit and a lounging area. This, in my opinion, is exactly the missing piece that Armani's needed. We will definitely go back. We are very pleased that we were able to celebrate my wife's 40th at Armani's."

"Wasn't impressed with the service and felt rushed, we were at the bar enjoying a glass of wine and were told we had to go to our table at 615pm even though our reservation was at 630pm to ensure we had a window seat. I thought the wait staff could be more professional in their service and explaining the menu. We have had many meals with great and professional service and much less expensive restaurants."

"The view on the 14th floor of The Grand Hyatt overlooking Tampa Bay was beautiful! While I usually say the food is not great when there is a great view it sort of holds true here. While I knew it would be expensive, I have to say that $19.99 for a saucer sized plate of antipasto was ridiculous! The veal marsala was dry and it was served with what I thought was cream of wheat! The cheescake was good though."

"Service was 5 stars with several servers dropping food and clearing plates for us. Food was very good, specially the antipasto bar and the salmon dish. Celebrating husband's birthday, made a special dessert presentation for that. Although there is no kid's menu, they were very accommodating to my 11yr old twins who were celebrating along with us, creating a dish for them on the spot. Pricey, but worth for the special occasion and setting."

"Couldn't sit by window even though tables were available but we were told people were waiting for them and we had reservations. Waitress, Nicole, could not describe how anything was prepared when asked" she read word for word the menu description. We had done that! She took 50 minutes to bring 3 soups and 1 salad. The Veal Scallopini was nothing special. Sauce was mediocre, polenta was over cooked & hard, wild mushrooms were edible at best. Pork belly and Cannelloni di Vitello were 2 of the favorite appetizers at our table.

We grabbed a drink at the bar, and enjoyed it on the outdoor patio before dinner. It is absolutely beautiful out there.
They should focus on how to serve dinner outside, at least to a few tables. With city and bay views, it could easily be among the top 10 places in the country to enjoy dining al fresco. With our weather, it might not work all year round; but it's like owning a convertible in Florida. It's too hot, cold or rainy a lot of the year, but when the weather is right: it's divine."

"We celebrated our anniversary at Armani's. The view was amazing with almost 360 degrees of the Tampa Bay area. We watched the sunset on the balcony with a nice warm fire. The service was great and the staff were very friendly. The veal plates were highly recommended and my husband and I would both agree with that. The food was delicious, however, prices make it appropriate for a special occasion. This restaurant is a definite must if you live in the Tampa area or if you are visiting and want a spectacular view."

"The service was fantastic as usual. The food was excellent and our waiter knew the menu to the last detail. It had been awhile since I last dined here and I was a little disappointed that the dress code was not enforced. One gentlemen wore shorts while another had on a t-shirt. Thi establishment used to require a jacket on men and claims to have an enforced dress code of business casual. If you are going to advertise this as policy then enforce it. I realize the economy is tough and drawing in people is harder, but I appreciate the exclusivity and upscale environment for a special occasion dining experience. Be who you say you are or change what you say. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I will go back."

"Beautiful view, but some reviews complain about not getting a window table. The dining room is beautiful, and any table has a nicer view than most any other restaurant in town; so I wouldn't get hung up on trying to get one of the few tables facing the sunset. If that's the most important thing to you, get a reservation for as soon as they open, or go during the week. I was going to be in the hotel anyway, so I booked on the same day, and went in as soon as they opened. It was quiet (mid-week) and they offered to seat my party where ever we wanted. My only complaint would be the gentleman seated next to us, wearing flip flops.
I know it's a restaurant in a Florida hotel, but is requesting guests to wear shoes, really so much to ask?"

"For the first time in many visits, we were highly disappointed. The entrees were unappealing, presented without the usual flair that has always characterized Armani's. My alleged rib steak arrived as a rectangular slab of meat,far short on taste and quite different in texture from any rib steak I have ever had. In fairness, the interior was cooked perfectly; the outside was obviously never flamed and therefore the meat was tasteless. It came doused in a unreognizable sauce, laced with cheese and several strings of white onion. I was sorry I ever went beyond the cocktail bar where I enjoyed a delicious, but surprisingly costly, margarita. My wifewas slightly more pleased with her salmon dish, which too was devoid of any eye appeal."

"When we got to the restaurant our table was not ready, they ushered us to the bar where we had to wait 20 minutes. I felt since we had a reservation we should not have had to wait so long for a table. The initial table they offered us was tucked into a ugly corner where we could see the wait staff coming in out and out of the kitchen, not ideal. They did find us another better table when we requested a change.
Many of the items on the antipasto bar were dry and colorless, I expected a little better. Entrees were good but not exceptional."
